[su_right_ad]And that can mean only one thing: Bobby Jindal is running for president.

Jindal has been working with David Lane, a conservative activist who has been tirelessly organizing pastors in early primary states while also warning that God will allow terrorist attacks to hit the U.S. as punishment for homosexuality and abortion rights, and Doug Stringer to stage “The Response: Louisiana” in January of next year.

In a “heartfelt message” announcing the rally, Jindal calls on the nation to “turn back to God” and “light the spark that starts a spiritual revival that will put these United States of America back in the right path.”

Yay! Is he going to perform another exorcism? I loved the movie.

    • Carla Akins December 8th, 2014 at 6:19 pm

Isn’t David Lane that racist nutjob that Rand Paul hired a year or two ago?

      • tracey marie December 8th, 2014 at 6:20 pm

        yes

      • Dwendt44 December 8th, 2014 at 6:35 pm

Jindal Jingle isn’t the wrong kind of dark skinned.

      • Anomaly 100 December 8th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

        OMG, is it?

  2. tiredoftea December 8th, 2014 at 6:09 pm

It didn’t work for Perry, and he has more acceptable (ahem…) credentials.

    • tracey marie December 8th, 2014 at 6:20 pm

watch and learn…the theocratic nitwits will now out pray each other. Hell their campaigns will be a tent revival maybe even snakes and talking in tongues. Imagine what frothy can come up with

  3. granpa.usthai December 8th, 2014 at 6:30 pm

Pele has told me that she don’t kare! Because of the support for the WHITE RACIST TERRORIST she’s opted for the ‘scorched earth policy’. I’d be preparing for unexpected volcanoes to start sprouting up in the states ruined by white racist republicans.

  4. neworleans878 December 8th, 2014 at 6:33 pm

Piyush “Bobby” Jindal has been bad news for my state. Christian fundamentalist that has no problem letting school vouchers be used to send children to schools that deny evolution and teach that the earth is 6000 years old. Sided against a local levee board that wants to sue big oil for the damage they’ve caused…even had the legislature pass a retroactive law prohibiting it.

Piyush gave the rebuttal to Obama’s first State of the Union address where he claimed that Federal agents where checking boat owner’s insurance before they’d be allowed to launch their boats to rescue people stranded by Katrina. Bald face f*cking lie.

Terrible news for America if he becomes president.

    • Suzanne McFly December 8th, 2014 at 6:35 pm

He would never be elected, his own party is too racist to vote for him.

      • neworleans878 December 8th, 2014 at 6:39 pm

That’s why I always call him Piyush…to remind people he’s not a real American like you and me

        • Suzanne McFly December 8th, 2014 at 6:46 pm

I seen that you did that and I thought that was pretty funny. Do that on a right wing blog and you will get a lot of “huh?” comments.

        • bhil December 8th, 2014 at 7:55 pm

          Anchor baby just like Mitt.

      • Dwendt44 December 9th, 2014 at 1:14 am

He’s to short and too dark for Republicans to allow him past the primaries.

  5. William December 8th, 2014 at 6:37 pm

David Lane, a conservative activist who has been tirelessly organizing pastors in early primary states ….

  6. Obewon December 8th, 2014 at 7:36 pm

    Woo-hoo! Exorcist Bobby-Brady Jindal for president… …no RWNJ’s bothered to clap.

  7. greenfloyd December 8th, 2014 at 7:41 pm

I am reminded of the Jesus teaching:

“Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s”

I do not know it for a fact, although I’ve long suspected this teaching (Matthew 22:21) was the inspiration for the idea of “the wall of separation of church and state.” It has been the bedrock upon which the American Constitution was founded, and has endured.
Anyone can call the faithful to pray or fast, praise and sing, meditate or dance your way to the lord… But if that call isn’t from one who is pure of heart and intent, our vital wall starts to crumble and the slippery slope to theocracy awaits on the other side.

  8. Warman1138 December 8th, 2014 at 7:44 pm

Every single study done on the effectiveness of prayer has shown no effect whatsoever. The last one I had read about that was done years ago involved more than 40,000 people. So basically, it’s a waste of time, as Jindal is a waste of a politician.

    • Obewon December 8th, 2014 at 7:49 pm

When strangers pray for the ill, more die than the un-preyed upon, who weren’t sucked dry by evilangelical prayer and prayer chains.

      • greenfloyd December 8th, 2014 at 8:01 pm

        Very nice word-play.

      • AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 8:58 pm

So, you believe that prayer still has an effect? Even if negative?

  9. bhil December 8th, 2014 at 7:53 pm

OK Bobby what god do I prey to Wall St. or . . . . .?

  10. Hass December 8th, 2014 at 7:58 pm

The most useless thing a humans do.

    • AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 8:52 pm

If you are an atheist, you believe in a meaningless life followed by oblivion.

So prayer is as useful or useless as anything else.

      • Dwendt44 December 9th, 2014 at 1:11 am

Who says Atheists think life is meaningless? The rabid right wing nut jobs make that claim but offer no proof.

      • Hass December 9th, 2014 at 6:17 am

Meaningless life? Ha! You’ve no idea mate. My life is awesome because I do meaningful things that make it so.

  11. m2old4bs December 8th, 2014 at 8:05 pm

The right path for America would be to maintain a strict separation of church and state on all levels of governance, be it city, county, state or federal.

    • greenfloyd December 8th, 2014 at 8:49 pm

How strict? Governments are made up of people with their own religious freedom and bias. That’s a built-in bias, although most civil servants do not let it effect their jobs. Unless of course they are politicians bucking for higher office shoving that collection plate in your face!?
Churches do play a vital role in American culture and history. In some places they are the last refuge in an urban jungle ruled by Gangsta-culture, paramilitary cops and political exploitation. They also provide a lot of secular, non-denominational services like soup kitchens, day care, drug treatment, schools, etc. federal assistance is vital to some of these programs that benefit kids all around the country.
So where do we draw the line, what constitutes a breach of the “wall?”

      • Dwendt44 December 9th, 2014 at 1:10 am

That government assistance hinges on the ‘no preaching, no proselytizing’ requirement.
Some, perhaps many, of those programs are far from ‘secular’ and some are ‘members only’.

        • greenfloyd December 9th, 2014 at 8:00 pm

I agree, about not forcing anyone to listen/pray in order to get a meal or any other service financed by govt… However, I am not aware of any widespread abuse such as you seem to suggest. I would like to read some examples, if you would be so kind.

  12. AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 8:50 pm

With the loss of Mary Landrieau, the South is completely Republican.

Prayer is their only hope left.

    • Kick Frenzy December 8th, 2014 at 9:05 pm

They would’ve been Red whether she lost or won.
She’s no Democrat as far as I’m concerned.

      • AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 9:11 pm

        She a conservative Democrat.

Unlike the Republicans, we Democrats have the full range of debate among our ranks.

        • Kick Frenzy December 9th, 2014 at 12:39 am

For me, I feel like being a Democrat has some core values which her stances betray.
I could be wrong and maybe it’s totally possible to be a reasonable and good Democrat while also encouraging environmentally horrid decisions.

Now, I’m not saying there can’t be different types of Democrats.
It’s just, when your actions go against basic core principles of a party you represent, how can you count on the constituency to have your back?

          • raincheck December 9th, 2014 at 9:39 am

      • Candide Thirtythree December 8th, 2014 at 9:31 pm

Colorado, we bought a couple hundred acres there to make an organic, heirloom apple orchard. The apple orchard has been my dream since I was a kid and I am retired so it is long past due. LOL

A banned growth hormone that stopped premature dropping of apples…Wikki it for your own info.. was fought in court by Washington state

          • Candide Thirtythree December 11th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

Oh yuck! No chemicals for me, no hormones either, nothing but sun and water and a bit of compost and if that doesn’t make apples oh well, the view is still great. LOL

  14. AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 9:15 pm

Bobby Jindal is in stark disobedience to the teaching of Jesus Christ:

    Matthew 6:5“And
when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by
others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.

    • Dwendt44 December 9th, 2014 at 12:38 pm

Since when do christians care what the bible says?
      Christmas trees-forbidden
      Graven images forbidden-Nativity scene
      Loud proclamations-prayer everywhere.
Cutting food for the poor, etc.. also not recommended for quick passage into heaven.

  18. Arakiba December 10th, 2014 at 8:02 am

When will Jindal realize he’s just an Uncle Tom for the lily white Republicans?
