[su_right_ad]Speaking to J.D. Hayworth on Newsmax TV, Pat Buchanan said forcing use of body cameras is like blaming white cops for being instigators, when it’s the people they confront who are.

He condemned Obama and Eric Holder for painting a picture of Ferguson as some kind of “racist hellhole,” and charges that young black males are the “most violent community per capita” in the country.

And so for him, body cameras are the government’s way of saying cops are to blame for “lethal violence.” Buchanan said, “That is a libel and a slander on America, and a libel and a slander on police.”

More theocratic babble from phony theocrats. Why the right is unwilling and incapable of even having a discussion about race besides them saying” all blacks are bad” is beyond me

    • whatthe46 December 8th, 2014 at 8:20 pm

white people never commit crimes don’t cha know.

      • tracey marie December 8th, 2014 at 8:21 pm

on the front page alone there are at least 5 articles on christians lying, judging, spouting hate and racism. Sad Sad Sad

It’s all Obama’s fault! – if He had never been elected twice, they wouldn’t have to be that way – at this specific time and specific issues. It would just be more of the normal 24/7 ‘master race’ BS the corpse desecrating WHITE race believes in.

      • granpa.usthai December 8th, 2014 at 8:30 pm

white folks do have a thing about desecrating corpses though, even if it’s not ‘really’ a crime like walking while black in FL or being suspected of having a weapon or showing an airsoft toy gun or playing music too loudly when a white man drives up or even living in the White House with a perfect Maui Tan.

Bringing some sort of accountability is libel and slander to white cops….

I was wondering who would be the first right wing nut to come up with the most outrageous comment. Should have known it would be Buchanan.

  3. AAASuperPatriot December 8th, 2014 at 8:19 pm

As the conservatives say, “If you have done nothing wrong, you have nothing to worry about.”

Good cops should welcome body cameras.

Should have read down the thread before I posted. Like I always say, gotta be quick around here with all these great minds 🙂

Isn’t Buchanan a failed politician who got fired from a news network for making racist remarks? The same thing that made him unelectable.

  5. Carla Akins December 8th, 2014 at 8:20 pm

What the hell is he talking about, body cameras also protect cops.

  6. neworleans878 December 8th, 2014 at 8:22 pm

Hey Pat…if the cops have nothing to hide, why would you be against body cameras? Isn’t that what the right always says about intrusive laws? Do try to be consistent, Patty.

Spoken like an old white man who has never been hassled by cops for no reason.

    • Kara Connor December 8th, 2014 at 8:36 pm

I’d go further, and say it will protect the majority of cops who do behave professionally, and stop their image being tarnished by the rogue ones.

From Reagan’s side to JD Hayworth at Newsmax. My, how low the racist, xenophobic old white guy has fallen!

    • granpa.usthai December 8th, 2014 at 8:42 pm

sometimes those of US that are not so keen on Republican politics tend to overlook lateral moves.

    • Tommy6860 December 8th, 2014 at 9:48 pm

He was the same fallen racist asshat under Reagan, he never got up from falling, he was just always a low POS.

      • tiredoftea December 8th, 2014 at 10:13 pm

Yeah, but he used to hang with a better class of criminal.

  8. Obewon December 8th, 2014 at 8:45 pm

Newsmax should be exclaiming ‘Body Cameras prove Birth Certificate validity vs a sneaky president from Kenya who whooped conservatives asses twice by 2 to 1, and again 3 to 2 in the electoral college!’ Earth to Pat and Noisemax “Nearly nine of 10 also say it would be a good idea for more police officers to wear body cameras to record their interactions.”

  9. tuckerb December 8th, 2014 at 8:50 pm

Is this the guy from the 700 club? Religious and all that good stuff? Or maybe he’s just another racist white guy spouting garbage and hate! Hard to keep track, especially up here in Calgary! Horrible, whoever and wherever he is!

  10. Boehner-Monkey December 8th, 2014 at 8:51 pm

It looks to me like Pat has embraced the New World Order which he used to warn us all about.

  11. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker December 8th, 2014 at 8:54 pm

The “truth” and “conservatives” are like oil and water.
People like Buchanan are fearful because republicans are going the way of the Whigs because they have nothing to advance our nation in the future.

    • Obewon December 8th, 2014 at 9:25 pm

Former AZ rep J.D. Hayworth is so gone he’s worried about a burnt flag Constitutional amendment! They could have passed a law requiring flags to contain flame retardants but no! Arizona votes ● Republicans Trent Franks, J.D. Hayworth and Rick Renzi voted for a constitutional amendment giving Congress the authority to ban the (burning) desecration of the flag.

  12. Bunya December 8th, 2014 at 9:23 pm

Good ol’ Pat. He never fails to disappoint when it comes to making really strange and goofy comments. So, in other words, he doesn’t want anybody to see the cops doing anything illegal or immoral. Got it.

  13. shocktreatment December 8th, 2014 at 9:27 pm

Oh yeah, Pat Buchanan. The very first choice for enlightened, illuminating commentary.

He should have quoted the old Eddie Murphy (back when he was funny) stand-up line; “Who are you going to believe: me, or your own eyes?”

  14. Tommy6860 December 8th, 2014 at 9:45 pm

Right Pat, this is why we don’t need police wearing body cams, cuz an unarmed cigarette vending Eric Garner didn’t suffer and die at the hands of violent police officers who clearly choked him to death. And 12yr old Tamir Rice had no more than two seconds from police arrival to his death to consider putting down his toy gun.

  15. burqa December 8th, 2014 at 10:18 pm

I think the body cams would go a long way toward helping the court get a better idea of what the po-lice face in various cases. I used to watch the TV show Cops, which had those nifty car cams showing high-speed chases and traffic stops and would like to see po-lice cruisers equipped with them.
Now, what becomes of the footage? Do they all enter the public domain afterward? What if the cop just gives a warning and lets the person go?

I liked the jerky at-eye-level camera action, a highspeed chase or the camera man’s labored breathing as he struggles with the heavy and bulky 1980s recording equipment while following cops down a dark alley toward some unsuspecting prey. I think the show is still on, although I’m not interested in watching it anymore it does chronical, in a slanted way, the alarming evolution of policing to paramilitary since the Reagan days.

  16. crc3 December 9th, 2014 at 12:41 am

Pat is pretty much clueless about most everything….

  17. rg9rts December 9th, 2014 at 4:11 am

What a dope… as I recall the FOP and all the PD’s fought dash cams too
