The Senate Intelligence Committee released its torture report today, officially launching “rectal feeding” as a trending topic (and hopefully not a boomlet in tapas restaurants), and fulfilling an Obama administration plot to cover up the Gruber hearings. So say the razor-sharp conservative denizens of Twitter, including one-time Republican presidential frontrunner Herman Cain:

Man, just when America was finally about to exact justice on the man who blew up Nakatomi Plaza, this happens.

Actually, the Gruber hearings they’re talking about are only slightly less stupid than holding a trial for the villain from Die Hard, “stupid” being the Word of the Day. The actual stated purpose of the hearing was to find out how a clerical error resulted in 400,000 out of 7 million ACA enrollments being overreported (hint: it was a clerical error), and to beat up on Jonathan Gruber for calling Americans “stupid” a bunch of times. Why would the Obama administration want to cover up the fact that Republican House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Darrel Issa (R-Calif.) is spending his time, and our money, on this?

We’ll skip over the gentleman from Nebraska asking Gruber, “Have you now, or have you ever been, laid?” and just cut right to…READ MORE [su_csky_ad]

How dare they call attention away from our made up phony scandal with a real scandal?

Hey, by the way, anyone seen my car? Where’s Darrell? DARRELL!!! Bring it back!

  2. tiredoftea December 9th, 2014 at 6:11 pm

Poor, poor Darrel Issa! Just when he’s back out from under the Benghazi report showing nothing improper was done in that damned Kenyan Socialist’s illegal administration, now the Gruber thing fizzles. What’s a megalomaniac to do??

Watch Gone in 60 Seconds for the 1541st time and reminisce?

      • Tommy6860 December 9th, 2014 at 6:25 pm

Darrell watched it once and hated it because he was jealous.

Yeah, but which one–the original or the Nick Cage remake? 🙂

    • Scopedog December 10th, 2014 at 3:14 pm

Try again and find another “scandal”, I guess…

The sad part about this last hurrah from Issa and his whack-a-mole attempts at getting a good hit on a conspiracy (aka hating The Man), the next congress is going to be exponentially more inane.

    • AnthonyLook December 9th, 2014 at 8:47 pm

Issa is doing his version of a Mary Loretta Landrieu exit.

    • Scopedog December 9th, 2014 at 10:36 pm

      You mean “insane”.

        Actually both are true.

All I can say is: STFU!
The United states of American has been lied to and demeaned by a corrupt, evil administration that engaged in torture and broke international and domestic laws.
Cheney, Bush and Rumsfeld should be the first to face a war crimes tribunal immediately.

Republicans hate Gruber so much they want to run his former boss mittens once more in 2016.

  6. Suzanne McFly December 9th, 2014 at 6:55 pm

They are just mad cause Gruber pretty much called the rwnj’s idiots and deep down, they know he is telling the truth. On a side note, did anyone see Gowdy’s haircut and the style of his facial hair? What is he 20? Kind of looked a little silly to me.

Gruber is only important to Republicans. It’s the new Benghazi. The torture report is their Benghazu, IRS, Fast & Curious….all wrapped into one. And, it’s legitimate.

I read the “error” was clerical because people who bought BOTH dental and medical, seperate policies were counted as…wait for it, TWO policies

  9. crc3 December 9th, 2014 at 7:31 pm

I don’t care what any of those do nothing Baggers say. This pales by comparison when you think of all the things they’ve done (or haven’t done) the last six years…

Impugning the motives of people is the favorite fallacious argument of conservatives.

  11. AnthonyLook December 9th, 2014 at 8:16 pm

NO ONE CARES for another Republican fake scandal. The Gruber “comma” of things in life worth a darn, is merely a flicked flee of importance in comparison. Issa is a fool, and a petty ineffective charlatan. Once again, the obvious of nothing being there eludes this conspiracy tin foil hat wearing wing nuts. At the very least TODAY, what should echo loudly through out the world is—-CHENEY MUST BE PROSECUTED.

    • Scopedog December 10th, 2014 at 3:13 pm

But….but…President Obama must be held accountable for the four deaths at Benghazi! It’s only fair, right?

…In all seriousness though, you’re right. It’s bullshit. We lost 3,000 people on 9-11 and the Bush Administration knew they were coming and did nothing. Think about it–there have been more “hearings” on Benghazi than there were on 9-11 and the 1983 Marine Corps barracks bombing in Beirut.

The sad fact is that our press corps is giving the GOP all the screen time they need to push this crap. And because of the election results of 2014, expect to hear more and more about Benghazi over the next two years. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone tries to pull an impeachment move over this.

You got a good scope of things dog.

  12. Obewon December 9th, 2014 at 8:17 pm

Mr. “0 indictment”-Chairman. I hereby correct my record as the RomneyCare architect. I called you Darrel Issa and your ignorantly uninformed supporters“stupid”-True!

  13. William December 9th, 2014 at 9:53 pm

So how much do you think this phony scandal is going to cost? More grandstanding by the “fiscally conservative” right.
