[su_center_ad]The former soldier is now with the far-right Family Research Council.

Speaking on a panel about “Obama’s assault on the military” at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend last month, Family Research Council executive vice president Jerry Boykin lamented that “people are not paying enough attention” to “the destruction of our military” under President Obama, adding, “thank God for ISIS” for bringing attention to it.

“I’m concerned about the fact the fact that our military will not be capable of meeting the threats of the future and America is not focused on it,” he said,“and thank God for ISIS, because if it wasn’t for ISIS, there would have been no focus, no attention.”

He went on to deride the decision to send U.S. troops to help build Ebola treatment centers in West Africa, saying, “I don’t know what glue our president has been sniffing, but if you really want to protect America, close that southern border and stop the terrorists from coming across.”

Unbelievable! Isn’t he the “patriot” who called on active military officers to engage in a cout? Our military is larger than the next twelve combined!!!!!! Which eight of those twelve will attack us? Which two of those twelve will put their militaries together to attack us? Our military budget is bloated and our ability to combat small, swift and zealous guerrilla armies is, at best, compromised.

Anyone want the Sony attack to be against our power grid? Or, our air traffic system? Who thinks the military is prepared to fight a twenty first century war is as sane as the seditious Mr. Boykin.

      Seditious is right.

“Thank God for ISIS” ( we created it, then we armed it, now we’re fighting it) U-S-A! U-S-A!
U-S-A! Thank you Jesus!!! Pasty white is always right.

Check please! Is there any way I can change my nationality to like “pork” the other white meat?

    • tiredoftea December 12th, 2014 at 6:50 pm

The Census Bureau is looking into more options for nationality, so, maybe.

Why does any reasoned person buy into the “ISIS is coming across the border to invade us? We are a country of mindless morons that listen to absolute nuts like Boykin. A general? This is what our military has come to?

This maniac extraordinaire has a long history of conflating his extreme religious beliefs outside of what he does now, even when he was a general. I remember him making a comment after 9/11 that (paraphrasing) ‘we are now in a holy war’, sounds familiar to that eastern brand, doesn’t it? Here’s a fairly short read on the nuttery and extreme ideology within the far right mindset of this freak.

It’s almost as if the FRC and WBC merged, and Boykin is the mutant progeny.

Using the same logic, we should be thanking his particular fictional deity for USSR’s Stalin & Khrushchev, Japan’s Hirohito, North Korea’s Kim family and Osama Bin Laden.
Boyken is a lunatic and should be kept away from any public discourse.

“It isn’t me cutting the (military) budget. It’s the Congress’ decision on sequestration. So it isn’t the secretary of defense or the president doing this.”
    — Chuck Hagel on Sunday, March 2nd, 2014 in an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation”

Yet we still have by far the largest military budget of anyone.

The border with Mexico is around 1,900 miles long. Placing a soldier every 10 yards along the border would require well over 300,000 troops. The border with Canada, which is far easier to cross than the Mexican border, is 5,500 miles long. And don’t forget the two coasts which total around 20,000 miles. Yet all these loons can talk about is the Mexican border. Couldn’t have anything to do with race, could it?

ISIS would have to sharpen their swords very much to be able to cut the head off of that lunkhead.
