[su_right_ad]Dick Cheney, appearing on “Meet the Press’, refused to acknowledge that forced rectal feeding is torture.

“We were very careful to stop short of torture,” Cheney said. “The Senate has seen fit to label the report torture, but we worked hard to stay short of that definition…The definition is the one that was provided by the office of legal counsel….All of the techniques that were authorized by the president were, in effect, blessed by the Justice Department opinion that we could go forward with those without, in fact, committing torture.”

Host Chuck Todd asked if that included the most gruesome example to emerged from the Senate Intelligence Committee’s report: forced rectal feeding.

“That does not meet the definition of what was used in the program,” Cheney said. “What was done here apparently certainly was not one of the techniques that was approved. I believe it was done for medical reasons…It wasn’t torture in terms of, it wasn’t part of the program.”[su_csky_ad]

There is no such medical thing as rectal feeding unless it’ 1641. Besides what would be the point when they’re already using a feeding tube on these men – except for torture.

“Anal Hydration” = euphemism for rape.

And since torture is illegal in American law, presumably the torture apologists want to repeal the 5th and 8th amendments to the constitution? Oy.

I hadda go look up the nutrient enema entry in the wikipedia because I wondered if this was even A Thing, and sure enough, it hasn’t been used since the nineteenth century, and further actually has no medical value as a nutrition aid.

Which means that its only purpose is the one repeatedly identified in the report– to impress upon the detainee the belief that he was powerless; and the property of the interrogator to do with as he wished– if you’ll pardon the vernacular, to make him your bitch, and make sure he knows it.

Which means that Cheney is lying, of course, and the only remarkable thing about that is the sheer facility with which he does it– Personally, I think he literally believes whatever words come out of his mouth even as he is forming them.

      Pretty sure that’s textbook sociopathy.

todd should have pointed out that others were tried and convicted of torture for using some of the same acts on our men that we perpetrated on detainees. But that wouldn’t have been up to his “standards”.

Every time he opens his mouth, he sounds less like a human being.

  4. Larry Schmitt December 14th, 2014 at 11:16 am

I think that’s what he’s doing in this picture.

    • Jake December 14th, 2014 at 12:40 pm

As he is the ultimate dick-head, I suppose this could be considered penile feeding.

Cheney only has two moving parts – his mouth and his rectum and they’re interchangeable.

All the docs are saying no, this is not a medical practice. I’ve had a feeding tube, it goes in the nostril and down the esophagus to the stomach. It was in a hospital and I knew I had to do it, and consented, but I still have nightmares about it.

They want us to call it “rectal hydration”. It isn’t:
“If the fluids you are infusing into the rectum and colon are not the right balance of electrolytes, etc., your bowels could violently — and painfully — expel the contents all over you and the floor.”–Dr. Howard Markel, medical historian at the University of

We’re not talking about “fluids” here:
“According to CIA records, Majid Khan’s ‘lunch tray’ of hummus, pasta with sauce, nuts, and raisins was ‘pureed’ and rectally infused.”

“This is a variation on a medieval form of torture in which the intestines were swollen up with fluid in order to cause pain,” said Dr. Steven Miles, of the University of Minnesota Medical School and the Center for Victims of Torture. “You can’t feed somebody this way. And so, for the U.S. government to claim that this is some sort of feeding technique, that’s just totally bizarre”. “Because there is no physiological way for any nutrients to be absorbed in the colon, any medical participation in this rectal feeding procedure is medical participation in torture.”

Shoving things up someone’s ass is anal rape, whether it’s the CIA’s nuts and raisins
or the NYPD’s broomsticks, it’s rape, and the CIA are rapists and torturers. Raw Story breaks it down:

Cheney needs to be kidnapped…taken to an unknown place then given the same “treatments” that he ordered done on captives. This includes days of waterboarding… anal feedings…and sexual assaults. Then let’s see how he feels about these treatments and see if he denies they are torture…

As much as that sounds like a “good idea” it would make us no better than the w admin. and I for one want to stay above that level.
I’m afraid the best we can hope for is our allies put him and his cohorts on trial in absentia and he be convicted on the world stage.
History may gloss over this in future generations but at least we could live in the knowledge that we tried to right a very terrible wrong.

      • crc3 December 14th, 2014 at 11:49 am

Yeah…I know it would bring us down to his level but one can dream of him suffering because he is such an evil person….

  8. alpacadaddy December 14th, 2014 at 12:19 pm

Darth Dick needs some rectal feeding, but he’ll have to remove his glasses first to expose the a$$hole between his ears!

  9. craig7120 December 14th, 2014 at 12:24 pm

Since Imus and his panel of guests made light of “rectal feeding” aka torture I’m assuming it’s ok for Isis to mock and laugh at humans squirming and jerking after being beheaded?

  10. fahvel December 14th, 2014 at 12:28 pm

when are the american people going to accept the fact that this thing is a cancer in society rather than an elder statesman?

  11. edmeyer_able December 14th, 2014 at 12:51 pm

Just watched Candy Crowley and she pretty much let w state his opinion w/o a challenge on any points, talked more about his painting than the torture report. And this passes for “journalism”.

  12. Foundryman December 14th, 2014 at 1:05 pm

It would be a great day for America if this lying POS were charged with war crimes…
We could be on our way to be a world leader again instead of just a war mongering super power.

  13. eyelashviper December 14th, 2014 at 1:27 pm

Inviting Cheney to appear on any national news program is a disgrace. It is shameful that he was not prosecuted in courts in this country, but to continue to give him a voice is simply abetting his hideous views and accepting his behavior as appropriate.

  14. FatRat December 14th, 2014 at 1:54 pm

2014 President Cheney talks out of his ass.
1881 President Garfield fed through his ass.

  15. tiredoftea December 14th, 2014 at 5:21 pm

“The definition is the one that was provided by the office of legal counsel….All of the techniques that were authorized by the president were, in effect, blessed by the Justice Department opinion…”, which you told Addington to get from the OLC and Loo eagerly provided.

From Darth Mengele, “I believe it was done for medical reasons…”

  16. raincheck December 15th, 2014 at 7:35 am

There he is, shoving food into his ASS….
