Officer Phillip White, from the San Jose PD, has a few thoughts for those tweeting with the hashtag #Blacklivesmatter, and none of them are particularly pleasant. BuzzFeed alerted the San Jose PD to White’s Twitter shenanigans after the officer made threatening tweets to the #Blacklivesmatter protesters, writing in at least one tweet, “Threaten me or my…

It doesn’t take a psychology degree to see this man’s issue, or why he should not be in a position of power.

    • Guy Lauten December 16th, 2014 at 1:57 pm

… or why he should never again be allowed to carry a deadly weapon.

I have a degree in psychology and although we do not diagnose over the internet, this man exhibits a number of concerns that should have been detected by his partners and fellow officers. A sociopath is very good at hiding their true identity, but someone who works with them over time will be able to see through their veneer. I believe that the “Blue Wall” often protects these people who otherwise would have been determined to be unfit for duty.

I am NOT saying this man is a sociopath. I am merely stating that a sociopath is the best liar known and able to hide among populations without detection for long periods of time, but eventually give themselves away. This man obviously exhibits some pathological ideas that need to be taken into consideration, possibly with a psychologist. I would not trust him with a badge and a gun as a personal stance.

Another example of why our police forces need a thorough overhaul of their hiring and training procedures.

    • whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 12:57 pm

unfortunately, you can’t train people not to be a racist. unfortunately, if they really want in they’ll say whatever it takes to hide their ignorance and slip through.

      • tiredoftea December 16th, 2014 at 4:36 pm

Not entirely true. While a lot of the basic mechanism of racism is DNA coded, it is not an immutable characteristic and can be lessened with the familiarity of social contact.

        • whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 4:51 pm

while i say that, i guess what i mean is that no child is born to hate nor born a racist, they are raised that way from the time they exit the womb and if its instilled into you for all of your life, once you become an adult, i doubt you can change.

    • Tommy6860 December 16th, 2014 at 1:20 pm

Not only what you mention, but anybody seeking to become a police officer has to undergo a thorough psychological examination, including annual check-ups after being hired.

      • whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 1:34 pm

i agree, but any sociopath can pass a psych exam. scary isn’t it? case in chief.

        • tiredoftea December 16th, 2014 at 4:39 pm

Well, true enough, but we should try, at least, to weed these sociopaths out and then train every police officer in social skills and basic respect for others.

The current vogue of military style policing is a big part of this problem and moving away from this to community based, residency based policing, with many more women in the police force can change the relationships between communities and their police forces.

          • whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 4:49 pm

agreed. i guess i’m just losing faith. too much of this sh’t is going on with no accountablity.

          • tiredoftea December 16th, 2014 at 4:51 pm

I’m not far from you with that. It will take more of this before the explosion takes place. We are not leaving a good country to our children and grandchildren.

      • tiredoftea December 16th, 2014 at 4:40 pm

Yes, and continued social training to instill respect and empathy for the community.

He must have been past over during promotions. Couldn’t pass the “Quote the part of the test:.

  4. whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 12:56 pm

he certainly does have the right to voice his opinion, everyone has the right to be stupid or say stupid sh’t. but, when you are in the position of authority and you are licensed to kill and with some of these cops, apparently its at will, you cannot threaten the very people you are paid to protect. in his case, its racist and he cannot be entrusted to police without prejudice. as for his comment about his being a tax payer, (which he tweeted: White also criticized them, tweeting, “This is BS. Free education. Don’t forget who is paying for your school. @CalWBBall me & other CA tax paying cops.”) it’s actually quite laughable, the tax payers is what’s paying his fk’n salary. and yes, he should get fired. gotta love the net, its exposing a lot of his kind.

“…I’ll be at the movies tonight, off duty, carrying my gun.”
I’d like to see how tough he is when he’s unarmed. It’s so much easier to terrorize when you’re carrying a fully loaded firearm.

  6. rg9rts December 16th, 2014 at 4:17 pm

He should be in the ranks of the unemployed at the least.

    • whatthe46 December 16th, 2014 at 5:57 pm

i wouldn’t trust this deranged a&& to patrol a damn thing of course he should be fired.

      • rg9rts December 17th, 2014 at 1:25 am

Maybe this idiot could find a slot as a school guard in Pakistan

He sounds like an immature little piece of crap. Grow up guy and know your role as a public role as someone paid to service the community.
