[su_right_ad]A cancer patient who appeared on Ellen attracted the ill-chosen words and attitude of a Philadelphia talk radio host.

WPHT AM yapper Chris Stigall took to the flagship station of the Philadelphia Phillies this week to mock Julie Kramer, a young woman battling cancer, after her national appearance onEllen alongside Phillies star second basemanChase Utley.

The ballplayer surprised his cancer-stricken fan with Phillies swag and an invitation to all their 2015 home games, despite rumors of Utley being on the trading block.

Enter Stigall with this on-air reaction:

You know Chase Utley’s not going to be around to take the cancer patient to the games. It’s a nice invite, but he won’t even be there. […] Plus, it’s probably terminal what that woman has. You think she’s going to live through an entire season?[su_csky_ad]

I had to come back to this….What was the reasoniong or thought process behind this kind of ugly comment, was causes some to say these types of things? What makes anyone on the right believe this was a necessary comment that needed to be said, just like all the conspiracy babble and ugliness on am stations they need to just stop.

Anything Ellen does must be condemned by small minds like his. After all, she IS gay.

      • tracey marie December 17th, 2014 at 7:39 pm

This is so typical of the right, just lash out and say the ugliest things imaginable

      • raincheck December 17th, 2014 at 7:40 pm

That’s probably right… He just wanted to bring ugliness into this because Ellen is Gay…. I hope he lives a short miserable life..

Chase Utley is a 10-5 player. He has 10 years in the majors and 5 years with the same team. That gives him the right to veto any trade, and he is under contract to the Phillies.

I have no idea why idiots like this radio host must go out of their way to be mean, spiteful ugly people.

A bit of googling reveals that Mr. Stigall is a conservative. So I now know exactly why this guy goes out of his way to be mean, spiteful and ugly. It is just the way many right wingers are, including apparently this one.

its a damn shame right? what he said didn’t have to be said at all, yet, you’re right, he went out of his way to inject ignorance, stupidity and outright ugliness.

Who says something like that? Now, I’ve said some things in the course of my life that I regret, but this is truly in very poor taste. Doesn’t anybody think before they speak anymore?

Now I’d like to know what the station mgr. had to say if anything at all and what the callers of his “show” had to say, some of whom may be cancer patients, survivors or have a family member with cancer.

People like this are in love with the sound of their own voice, and they put no thought into whether they hurt anyone. They are always the most important person in the world. That describes Rush, and apparently, this creep.
