No, no, the way it works is–never mind.

Pat Robertson took a question from a viewer who said she attends a church whose members aren’t allowed to date, leaving many church members “frustrated because we’re getting older and no one is getting married.”

Robertson found this to be absolutely ridiculous because a church with a no-dating policy will eventually “die out”… just like gay people.

“You know, those who are homosexual will die out because they don’t reproduce,” he said. “You know, you have to have heterosexual sex to reproduce. Same thing with that church, it’s doomed, it’s going to die out because it’s the most nonsensical thing I’ve heard in a long time.” [su_center_ad]

Gay people have never reproduced, yet they have always been with us. That’s because they are a result of heterosexual sex. See, Pat, when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much, they get together in a very special way, and sometimes, nine months later, they have a baby, and sometimes (approximately 3.5% of the time) that baby turns out to be lesbian, gay, bi, or transgender. And that’s the real facts of life, Pat, not your wish-it-were-true version.

i have to correct you there sir Larry S. gay people do reproduce. there are plenty of gay men who actually have bio children. as there are plenty of lesbian women who have bio children. as far as hetero’s go, some of them “choose” not to reproduce. i actually know a few and some are even married. so any way loony toons above (pat) wants to spin it, he’s wrong all the way around.

      • whatthe46 December 17th, 2014 at 4:10 pm

also, to add to pats wrong ramblings, some hetero’s can’t reproduce, even while the science and technology is there. he’s such an idiot.

      • tracey marie December 17th, 2014 at 4:17 pm

and some of those children are …wait for it, straight

        • whatthe46 December 17th, 2014 at 4:45 pm

          amen!

          • granpa.usthai December 17th, 2014 at 10:03 pm

you all are forgetting the most important part!

            CHOICE!

if they choose to be gay, they’ll always be around; unless there is some reasonable way to alter/ban/prevent/entice/threaten/scare/terrorize/brutally subject/separate/eradicate…

(perhaps a pink triangle to ID ’em?)

      • Larry Schmitt December 17th, 2014 at 4:46 pm

I’m aware of that. I didn’t mean to imply that it’s impossible, as Pat probably thinks. But most of them don’t. My point is, they don’t have to directly reproduce for more of them to show up.

        • whatthe46 December 17th, 2014 at 5:45 pm

i got your point and you were spot on. just thought i’d throw my 2 cents in for what its worth. lol

But remember, this is a person who bases his life’s work on a book of Fairy Tales. I’m not even sure if he believes any of it, he just knows people will pay him to do what he does. Some people make me hate the 1st amendment.

Since homosexuality is nature, not nurture, they will always be part of the human race, you ignorant grifting soulless a**hole mother f*cker.

Sadly, idiots like you will always be part of the human race too.

sorry for the rant…anti gay rhetoric really gets under my skin sometimes.

    • whatthe46 December 17th, 2014 at 4:00 pm

rant on. when i stop laughing at his stupiidity, i’ll join in.

    • edmeyer_able December 17th, 2014 at 4:54 pm

      Really, didn’t notice.

OK I’m going to preface my next statement with an apology to the older folks here. I know I’m making a broad stroke with my assumptions and as hip hop artist E-LP says “I’m not a doctor, I don’t much about medicine” but I seriously think that older generations are crazy as hell.

Yes they had different social structures and such but some of the stuff that comes out has GOT to be some kind of damage. Think of all the chemicals and other things shoved into their bodies since birth that we now know is just bad for you. My father just turned 88 and he’s crazy as hell. I love him but seriously crazy. He would tell me about when he was a kid they would pump ozone into the schools to keep them germ free. Ozone a now known poisonous substance in high or low concentration. Now there could be some long term issues when your stuck in it for hours at a time, such as in a school room all day. These are the same people who thought Thalidomide was a good idea.

The man actually had a Radium watch, seriously to me that’s like the craziest thing ever. All those seemingly harmless and ubiquitous items in their life brimming with lunacy and you don’t think that has a long term effect on them? I swear it’s like when they found the lead paint coated pots in Rome and mercury in hats in the 18th/19th century were screwing with peoples brains in a serious way. I dunno I’m just talking here, who knows in 60 years they might find that fruit roll-ups were pure poison. At least I’ll have a sort of excuse for my wildly inappropriate remarks.

    • Dwendt44 December 17th, 2014 at 7:14 pm

The lead that leaded gasoline use spewed into the air during the 30’s-the 70’s didn’t help any either.

      • Larry Schmitt December 17th, 2014 at 7:19 pm

When xrays first became common, shoe stores used them to xray kids’ feet, supposedly to get a better fit. Who knows what kind of damage all those unnecessary xrays did to kids? You get a lead apron at the dentist’s office just for a two second exposure. Seems they never heard of testing anything before dumping it on the public. Almost like the middle ages.

      • Khary A December 18th, 2014 at 9:46 am

exactly environmental issues and external stimulus are a factor in peoples behavior, not an excuse but a factor.

    • Suzanne McFly December 17th, 2014 at 7:20 pm

See what you are doing? You are giving this nut a reason to be a nut and your making me feel bad for calling him a nut.

      • Khary A December 18th, 2014 at 9:45 am

Oh no he’s still an ass, he has had time spent on earth that he could have used to regulate his issues and be a bit more harmonious in the world.

He squandered that in lieu of cultivating a worthwhile existence to better the world. So feel free to castigate him. ‘Cause a nut who is raised in an asshat mindset that still thinks, after so many years, that its ok to attack peoples lives is still an asshat.

        • Suzanne McFly December 19th, 2014 at 5:44 pm

Okay, I feel better now for calling him a nut 🙂

  4. tracey marie December 17th, 2014 at 4:15 pm

lol, and the straight couples will keep having children and some will be gay. Do these types and their dementia ridden fan clubs even think anymore?

  5. Maxx44 December 17th, 2014 at 4:26 pm

“…it’s the most nonsensical thing I’ve heard in a long time.”

No, Pat, the most nonsensical thing you’ve heard at any time is whatever you just said.

  6. Tommy6860 December 17th, 2014 at 4:29 pm

I guess someone needs to remind mr. biology expert, that the straight couples need to stop procreating those gay babies, so he can at least appear to be correct to his simpleton audience.

    • whatthe46 December 17th, 2014 at 4:44 pm

      nice

  7. edmeyer_able December 17th, 2014 at 4:49 pm

Sure would be nice if it worked that way with idiots but the last election proved it doesn’t.

  8. Chinese Democracy December 17th, 2014 at 5:04 pm

we recruit .. Im one conversion away from winning a toaster oven

    • thinkingwomanmillstone December 17th, 2014 at 5:35 pm

Good for you…here I thought it was just science that most gay people had heterosexual parents. My bad. 😉 This man just is setting a record for spouting total nonsense….the only miracle he is witness to is the fact that people pay him money for this verbal garbage.

      • Dwendt44 December 17th, 2014 at 7:11 pm

Not to mention that some gay couples adopt and others use sperm donors.

      • granpa.usthai December 17th, 2014 at 9:49 pm

$$$ that goes to support religious beliefs at US TAXPAYERS expense.

    • granpa.usthai December 17th, 2014 at 9:48 pm

hope you enjoy your toast before it disappears for a very long time.

  9. Jake December 17th, 2014 at 6:17 pm

By that same logic we would have run out of Catholic priests centuries ago – unfortunately that part is just not true.

  10. tiredoftea December 17th, 2014 at 6:30 pm

So, Uncle Nutty is wrong about most things….uhh, OK, pretty much everything he expels from that fossilized brain. But, he’s right about the church part. Shakers have all but gone away because they discouraged their followers from enjoying sex and procreating. So, they built their movement from recruits, kinda like a churchy MLM! Now, there are only a couple of them left. Too bad, they created nice furniture and advanced barn technology and created beautiful hymns (find Aaron Copeland’s adaptation of the work song “Simple Gifts”, “The Gift to Be Simple”, part of his Appalachian Spring and enjoy!).

    ,,,

  12. granpa.usthai December 17th, 2014 at 9:46 pm

no $$$ reason to $$$ pray away the gay then $$$, if it’s going to happen anyway $$$.

  13. Jimmy Cahill December 18th, 2014 at 9:01 am

Not sure where the logic is here… That would mean that only gay people can produce gay offspring. But since straight couples are the leading exporter of gay children in the world, we know that to be false. Robertson is a joke.

  14. Bunya December 18th, 2014 at 2:18 pm

Silly Pat! Everybody knows the stork brings the straight babies and the peacock brings the gay babies.
