Karoli at Crooks and Liars:

[su_center_ad]

You remember that time that Mayor de Blasio asked the protesters standing for Eric Garner and Mike Brown to stand down until after the officers’ funerals out of respect for the families?

Evidently Pat Lynch and his crowd doesn’t have the same respect for those slain officers and their families, because this picture is what happened at Officer Rafael Ramos’ funeral.

So, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio asks that protests cease until after the funerals of the slain officers out of respect for them. But the police, themselves decide to state a protest at the funeral, itself. And this is supposed to heal a city?[su_csky_ad]

Shame on the NYPD union members that turned the remembrance ceremony for 2 fellow slain Officers into a political circus.

    • Gindy51 December 27th, 2014 at 3:18 pm

Exactly, they are no better that those assholes from Westboro who picket soldiers’ funeral and act like spoiled children when they don’t get their way.

      • granpa.usthai December 27th, 2014 at 4:34 pm

the NYPD union members that used the remembrance ceremony to show their political contempt for public elected officials certainly seem to come off that way to me. (same surroundings, same end game strategy for same end game results: – look at me, I’m different).

        • whatthe46 December 27th, 2014 at 5:01 pm

“…look at me, I’m different). BOOM!

  2. dave-dr-gonzo December 27th, 2014 at 3:13 pm

The Mayor represents every citizen of NYC at these funerals. When NYC cops turn their back on the Mayor, they shun every citizen of this city.

But this should surprise nobody. It is no secret that the most bullying, fascistic thug faction from within NYPD’s police union makes it a point to attend these events. And yes, there is a hueueueuge streak of racialist resentment among these cops. Some of them just can’t believe we have a Mayor married to a ne… er, ahem, “blah” person.

Don’t think this isn’t all about Klansmen in blue.

But thanks for organizing this petty, tasteless protest, Patrick Lynch. Because now we have their photos.

interested parties should be arranging for their own supervised background/current status checks. If they belong, offer support to or hang around with known WHITE RACIST, the people have a right to know and the elected officials have a right to know. Their superiors have a right to know and the swore duty to take appropriate actions as the Cleveland area PD apparently did. (also includes the US Military and staff members of elected officials).

Nazi hunting season is now open!

“Don’t think this isn’t all about Klansmen in blue”.
Sadly, that’s much of what this is about.

  3. mea_mark December 27th, 2014 at 3:19 pm

New York’s finest? I don’t think so. More like arrogant, classless, jackasses. The police sure aren’t helping themselves, it’s like they want conflict. Sure is dumb.

  4. Pistol-Packing December 27th, 2014 at 3:53 pm

    Good for them…

    • Carla Akins December 27th, 2014 at 4:03 pm

I don’t think disrespectful behavior at their peer’s funeral says anything except they have no respect for their colleague. Civil disobedience is inconvenient but serves a purpose. Much like the looters in Ferguson, this takes away from their point and makes them look petty.

      • Pistol-Packing December 27th, 2014 at 4:10 pm

I will politely disagree. It actually may be the ultimate respect to their colleague. I guess it depends on your point of view. I have several friends who went to the funeral today to represent their solidarity with the NYPD. We live 40 miles from NYC, and they are all officers with the local police forces.

        • granpa.usthai December 27th, 2014 at 4:26 pm

so – folks from Westboro Baptist are showing what may be the ultimate respect for the soldiers who died on battlefields many thousands of miles away by using their remembrance ceremonies as a place to voice their political disagreements?

‘you fought and died on foreign grounds so that we might be able to voice our political opinion -so here is our most respectful show of appreciation: F-you and yours, they are burning in hell!’

I suppose different folks do have different points of views, even when showing their ‘ultimate’ respect to those the fallen loved the most?

        • Hirightnow December 27th, 2014 at 5:40 pm

Who said that their fallen colleagues felt that way, hmmm?

    • Sy Colepath December 27th, 2014 at 4:16 pm

…for showing how despicable they are. Way to shill for these clowns.

  5. tiredoftea December 27th, 2014 at 3:54 pm

These are the klowns who expect instant, compliant behavior from the people they stop. They get angry when they are not obeyed, but they show no respect for the Mayor, or people on the streets. Is it any wonder the police are considered bulllies, at best?

  6. Foundryman December 27th, 2014 at 4:30 pm

Turning their backs on a mayor who offered a side of the debate based on his own experience as a father of a black child shows how out of touch the police in this country are. These two policemen who were murdered didn’t deserve it, but the system and the culture that leads policemen like them to brutalize and even murder unarmed Americans certainly does deserve to be eliminated.
Claiming the murders were the result of the protests against police brutality while ignoring the earlier murders in Las Vegas by two of Cliven Bundy’s militia, who even left a gadston flag on the bodies and said this was the “beginning of the revolution” makes all of these police who turned their backs, turned them on all of us. It shows us who they support. If they don’t like what the mayor said, they should quit or be fired for insubordination.

    • granpa.usthai December 27th, 2014 at 4:53 pm

Excellent points with appropriate solutions, Foundryman. Could only feel that something about this Krazy Klassless Klown acting wasn’t right. You hit the bullseye dead on. These White Racist hiding behind badges aren’t turning their back on the NYC Mayor to ‘honor’ fallen officers, they’re turning their backs on US who will not support or cower away from WHITE RACIST NAZIS!

I like the ‘firing’ part. It’s like showing them the stupidity of der ‘master race’ and also warns possible future employers of the Reich baggage they’ll be bringing to their new communities.

  7. Obewon December 27th, 2014 at 4:39 pm

You’d have to be the dimmest airhead to blame the NY mayor for the mass murder of 2 cops by a Georgia gun nut who first shot his girlfriend in MD and then posted his camouflage pants soaked in her blood on her Instagram account.

    • corey2444 December 27th, 2014 at 6:43 pm

Maybe they all see he’s been associated with the biggest race inciter Al Shaprton and they don’t like it. Maybe you enjoy the biggest race inciter Al Sharpton and want to see the country in ashes. Maybe you think only the lowest of the low in society have all the rights. You know the ones who have no jobs, live off the tax payer, therefor are enabled by the tax payer to move from city to city like losers blocking traffic and disrupting holidays of the people that feed them.

      • OldLefty December 27th, 2014 at 6:54 pm

They hated Bloomberg and Giuliani as well. (And Giuliani associates with the biggest race inciters from Fox News and am radio)

With Giuliani, they were chanting “Rudy’s a liar, set him on fire.”

      • Republicans_are_Evil December 27th, 2014 at 8:22 pm

All you have is speculation and lies. Weak sauce.

      • Obewon December 27th, 2014 at 8:25 pm

You sure have a lot of problems misplacing your cell phone and “Example 2) I’ll make this one short. My neighbor and son shot my lights with their BB gun.”-Lol. GTFO! Via The Daily Caller corey2444 to lynnemmzCD4u 5 days ago. https://disqus.com/by/corey2444/

    • Republicans_are_Evil December 27th, 2014 at 8:22 pm

I don’t think two murders is considered mass murder.

  8. Hirightnow December 27th, 2014 at 5:36 pm

Protesting at a funeral puts these people in the same category as Westboro Baptist Church.
Sorry if you “officers” (no REAL officer stoops that low) got your thin blue feefees hurt…but show some respect, or admit to being no better than the “God Hates F^gs” crowd.

    • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker December 27th, 2014 at 6:59 pm

This childish behavior shows that they are unable to assess the situation and understand the cause of the murders of two NYPD officers. They’ve allowed their irrational anger to be directed in the wrong direction and clearly should not be walking around with guns and in any position of authority over the citizenry.
