Senator Lindsey Graham met in Jerusalem with Benjamin Natanyahu where he pledged congressional support.

[su_center_ad]

…Graham (R-SC) told the foreign leader Congress would “follow his lead” on a bill to reinforce sanctions on Iran.

“In January of next year, there will be a vote on the Kirk-Menendez bill, bipartisan sanction legislation that says, if Iran walks away from the table, sanctions will be reimposed,” Graham said. “If Iran cheats regarding any deal that we enter to the Iranians, sanctions will be reimposed.”

Graham and a variety of senators have been skeptical, to put it mildly, of the long-haul effort by President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry to broker a deal with Iran that reverses the country’s nuclear program in exchange for an easing of sanctions.

Imagine a liberal pledging fealty to a foreign leader at the expense of actual Americans.[su_csky_ad]

the 52nd state contest is almost decided
If it was all up to Senator Lindsey Graham ?

  2. GreatLakeSailor December 29th, 2014 at 3:20 pm

On the upside, Graham is saying out loud what all with at least one foot in reality have known for decades – the US govt is Israel’s lapdog.

Why even have votes in the Senate and Congress? Lets just see what the highest bidding country wants us to do and we will be happy to oblige.

voting on the floor is a good way of wasting a lot of time without really doing anything productive for the AMERICAN TAXPAYERS. -something that the current Congress perceives as ‘American Exceptionalism’.

      • Suzanne McFly December 29th, 2014 at 4:15 pm

That has never been so obvious until the last Congress. They were less productive than a group of preschoolers.

At least the kids might come up with some nice finger paint art.

          • Suzanne McFly December 29th, 2014 at 6:15 pm

I prefer finger paint art any day over just getting the finger.

when you keep yourself full of ‘high moral fiber’ (hops and grains mostly in a liquid form) one finger raised in acknowledgement of which country you hold to is quite a show of exceptionalism

      • Larry Schmitt December 29th, 2014 at 5:25 pm

It also gives CSPAN something to show, now that Book Span is off. But it’s not actually productive.

We already do that with corporations. What’s the difference between Israel Inc. and Exxon? They probably have one of the busiest offices on K Street.

    (ah -hem)

could someone inform Mrs. Lindsey it’s the Congress of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?

    • granpa.usthai December 29th, 2014 at 3:58 pm

we’ll need to check with CHINA first, just to make sure it’s OK, otherwise, our ‘municipal bonds’ might not be very good fire paper if they’re drug across the Pacific in a horrific economic storm.

We can ask the Chinese embassy, otherwise known as WalMart.

Isn’t that precious?? A war mongering foreign leader, who some say is on his way out, without receiving a single vote, will be the defacto leader of the US congress, that is what those right wing fools voted for….All Hail the Constitution!!!

  6. Foundryman December 29th, 2014 at 4:25 pm

This hits on the point I was making on another thread. We have to have leaders that will be much more aggressive in calling these right wing assholes out. Everyone should know we have republican leaders who are willing to have a foreign leader dictate policy in Congress. Will there be Democrats on the Sunday morning shows repeating what Graham said here a hundred times?
If Obama had said something similar, the media would brand him a traitor and so would McCain and every other wingnut with a camera.

  7. Kim Serrahn December 29th, 2014 at 4:59 pm

We need to keep the money that we give to Israel here at home and use it for our own.

  8. Thomas Davidson December 29th, 2014 at 6:31 pm

This is simple, if you feel the need to be lead by him, then move there. Here you need to follow the lead of President Obama. You two will lead us right in to war with Iran, needlessly costly many lives.

  9. tracey marie December 29th, 2014 at 7:15 pm

Unbelievable, the biggest teabagg pos just denigrated the President of his country and pledged fealty to an Israel leader. WTF
