Sarah Palin posted photos of her 6-year-old son, Trig, standing on top of a dog.

The former Alaska governor posted the photos as part of a New Year’s Day Facebook post intended on sending a message about stepping stones.

“May 2015 see every stumbling block turned into a stepping stone on the path forward,” Palin’s post read. “Trig just reminded me. He, determined to help wash dishes with an oblivious mama not acknowledging his signs for “up!”, found me and a lazy dog blocking his way. He made his stepping stone.”

Just saw this on Politico, and of course the thread is on fire with Sarahbots defending it, and wailing about Obama eating dogs…if I didn’t understand that most of those posters are paid trolls or just old angry farts with nothing else to do, I would despair about our nation.

    • tiredoftea January 2nd, 2015 at 1:34 pm

      Too late, I already do!

    • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 1:46 pm

I thought it was Huckabee’s Krist like DPRK that hates EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL CITIZENS that ate dogs?

  2. Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 1:24 pm

Whats the big deal??? There is nothing chaining the dog down. If the dog didnt care for it, it would just roll the kid off an be the end of it…

    • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker January 2nd, 2015 at 1:33 pm

      No worries.
It’s just the Wasilla Wannabe trolling anyone who doesn’t abuse or kill animals for fun.

no wonder she’s a Fox staple.

      You should settle down.

      • tiredoftea January 2nd, 2015 at 1:36 pm

So was mine. I assumed nothing other than the words you posted.

          You’re done here.

          • Kat3535 January 2nd, 2015 at 1:47 pm

You coaxed him and then you ban him while defending some right wing troll? Ban me to.

Happened to me on Common Dreams…then they asked for money???

            Please define “troll”…. I think I resemble that remark…

          • Hirightnow January 2nd, 2015 at 5:04 pm

No, you tend to keep it civil, and you show respect for other’s opinions. You want trolls? Come with me, Suzy, and I will make your heart shrivel with despair for mankind’s future…(The Blaze, WND, Breitbart, Yahoo….)

bye Mike, where ever you are. Tried to respond, but was too late.

maybe you can sneak back in like a wayout wandering pink eyed robot sometime?

    • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 1:34 pm

Dogs are brought up to not only be our companions but to be our servants. A dog is one of the few animals that will love it’s master more than it loves itself. Get a clue, $ara had time to get a camera for a photo-op but not to prevent this or worse re-create/stage the whole thing.

      • tiredoftea January 2nd, 2015 at 1:36 pm

I just read an interesting article refuting that,

        http://www.slate.com/blogs/wild_things/2014/12/30/is_it_crazy_to_say_you_love_your_dog_the_same_as_you_love_a_child.html

        • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 1:43 pm

TL/DR article seems to say I love my dog as my child, that’s not what I said, I made a statement that a dog loves you more than itself.

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 1:56 pm

Sara’s for using kids as a ‘stepping stone’?

            say it ain’t so!

          • tiredoftea January 2nd, 2015 at 7:00 pm

In the article it states that the dog is just enjoying the free food!

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 7:26 pm

Now I’m glad I didn’t bother reading it, you can practically starve a dog to death and it will lick your hand.

      • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 1:54 pm

Yup, nicely staged, recreated, and how old is Trig? I’m sure if his “oblivious mama” took the time, she could help him communicate verbally rather than just “signalling up”…poor kid, doesn’t stand a chance..

        • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 1:57 pm

I’d pay $10. to know where and how $ara stores her weaponry.

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 2:05 pm

Under the bed, fully loaded… Where else wold you store them ??

            =)

          • Carla Akins January 2nd, 2015 at 2:13 pm

Scary part is that you could be right.

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 2:14 pm

I highly doubt that. But hey, could be…

          • Carla Akins January 2nd, 2015 at 2:16 pm

I kind of doubt it too, are we most likely would have already seen….but each time I think she couldn’t say or do anything more ridiculous – show proves me wrong.

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 2:17 pm

seeeee, then you should be looking forward to the next best thing…

      • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 1:54 pm

why would Sara make a resolution to better herself?

better she opt for looking for a better hairdresser – or at least move her expanding baggage in that direction.

        • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 1:57 pm

I think the reference about making a resolution not to be an A$$hole was directed at Pistol-Packing…

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 1:59 pm

Yeah, it was. But he edited it out already…

that should help those of us who make general assumptions.

but, I’ll keep my response as is, (JIC someone traveling through LL might have need of it).

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:25 pm

my apologies for the general assumption.

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:36 pm

            depends.

what would one expect to get out of voting for you versus what could one hope for by not voting for you?

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:23 pm

sorry, usually I just assume A$$hole is referring to teabagger candidates, didn’t know PP was a made Koch sucker too.

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:43 pm

love the photo. Grew up with a ‘big bone shepherd’.
            beautiful animals
great family oriented pet (folks considered him one of the family)
never tried stepping on him though
don’t think anybody else would have wanted to try to either
gotta be a little off to tell a challenged kid to do it
just for a picture to share with close friends
            through the public media.

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 4:31 pm

nice way to get around banned words

      • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 1:58 pm

I see we edited this down…. Any hoo, I would imagine pics were snapped from her smart phone, which if she is like the rest of us. Usually in our hand.

        • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm

Two things she was supposedly washing dishes so who took not 1 but 3 pics w/o rescuing the dog and B if someone else took the pic why isn’t she anywhere near this “event”?

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 2:16 pm

I am going to stick with the “Smart Phone”, I know where mine is 98% of the time, and typically that is right next to me.

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 2:18 pm

Your reply doesn’t answer either of my questions.

          • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 2:21 pm

If I am washing dishes, and my phone is either in my pocket or on the counter. Then, it is a simple quick dry of the hands, and boom, your snapping away. but otherwise, dont get so worked up over her.

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 2:23 pm

It’s the double standard not her that rankles my bones.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:09 pm

Like many women, bras are great places to store smart phones, or you know pants pockets, or maybe the windowsill, or any other nearby place. You take a few seconds to snap off a few pics and tell kid firmly to get down. Explain that, will hurt the animal.

      • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:07 pm

Or she used a cell phone.

    • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 1:37 pm

aside from killing animals now palin finds it humorous that animals are being abused
I agree anytime sarah doesn’t involve herself in politics Its a good day indeed

      • Pistol-Packing January 2nd, 2015 at 1:57 pm

        this is abuse how ??

        • arc99 January 2nd, 2015 at 1:59 pm

exposing a dog to the risk of spinal fracture, paralysis and euthanasia, that is how.

          next question.

          • Chinese Democracy January 2nd, 2015 at 11:01 pm

and exposing the kid to 120 lbs of unchecked fanged anger heh

        • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 2:09 pm

oh I don’t know … maybe its because dogs are not in the same definition as furniture, ladders or stools. Did I leave anything out ?

          • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 2:45 pm

I take it your no stranger to the mods on more websites then this

          • baddog January 2nd, 2015 at 2:48 pm

Not sure why you’re trying to debate this. Someone else posted something similar as you did to the same comment as you and got banned, and the mod defended this animal abuser on top of it.

Not freaking out here, but then I do believe that animals are animals and not people. However, I also believe that before you have a pet, that you are prepared for all aspects of the responsibility – including teaching your children to respect them. I’m not upset that he climbed up on the dog, I find it telling that she thought it was a good idea to take numerous photos and share them on social media instead of using the opportunity to teach her child a life skill. Crime of the century, hardly but standard Palin fare – yeah.

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:48 pm

just remember that Jesus (not the fake Italian white guy in paintings) used a for real stone for a pillow to rest ONLY his head.

don’t know about enhanced sexual positioning – guess maybe his Father figured he’d have enough common sense to figure it out?

Is that the best comeback you got? Yawn

          • Lisa Toops Smith January 2nd, 2015 at 3:16 pm

Sure, dogs make great pillows but what kind of weight are you putting on that dog (and more likely on the softer more muscular parts of the dog, not directly on the spine)–10 lbs or so? That kid weighs at least 50 or 60 lbs and putting all of his weight directly on the animal’s spine. Imagine a weight twice your own compressing your spine.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:18 pm

It’s a Labrador, not a chiuaua. The dog weighs more than the kid, or about the same weight. It can also move, before that really hurt.

          • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 3:34 pm

the dog can move while a 70+ pound kid is standing on him ?
you are a special kind of bible thumper !

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 4:29 pm

and, yes we know 6-year-olds are very good at distinguishing breeds

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 4:55 pm

They aren’t at distinguishing breeds, but can distinguish size. Chiuaua’s are small breed dogs, Labs, are much bigger.

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 5:22 pm

Oh, then it’s fine. She is a fine role model in teaching children respect for all God’s creatures. Thanks for setting me straight.

        • rf7777 January 2nd, 2015 at 2:17 pm

Are you serious?! Stepping on an animal’s spine like it was a step ladder. One wrong footing, twist or move and the dog could be paralyzed or seriously injured. God forbid you have any pets! So incredibly shocked that a comment like that would come from a gun nut…

        • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:05 pm

It isn’t, unless of course you believe in coddling the pets. It’s a 70.lb, well fed, well loved, well trained(Or it would not sit there with the kid stepping on it, it would have growled, bit, rolled over and ran away etc etc etc. ) Labrador(by the looks of it) being stepped on, momentarilly by a 6 year old.

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 3:09 pm

A dog will lay down it’s life for you , but that doesn’t mean we should use them for step ladders.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:13 pm

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 5:23 pm

I am a grammar Nazi. Can’t deny it.

          • Hirightnow January 2nd, 2015 at 5:25 pm

Satzzeichen , einem Satzzeichen über alles!!

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 5:03 pm

            Duly noted.

        • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 4:29 pm

teaching your kids to stand on the family dog–if it’s not abuse to the dog, it’s teaching a child that such behavior is acceptable.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 4:57 pm

She isn’t teaching the kid it’s acceptable, she’s posting a pic about Trigs growth in problem solving.

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 5:21 pm

how about solving the problem of mistreating the family pet

    • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm

you think the dog doesn’t know what Sara did to Bullwinkle when she went to the corner G&A store shopping with Natasha Fatale and Cindy’s shopping card?

      • baddog January 2nd, 2015 at 2:07 pm

Careful, the mod tiredoftea defends animal abusers and bans anyone who disagrees with him.

lol, they got ya pegged Tea.

        • Kat3535 January 2nd, 2015 at 2:13 pm

He actually coaxed that guy into arguing with him and then removes his comments and bans him. Just as he removed mine and probably will remove this.

I control my own posts. I dont get coaxed to do anything heh

          • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 4:28 pm

I haven’t banned anyone in a very long time, or removed anyone’s comments. Mods to that and they do a very good job.

Well, how else are the uppity elite gonna find a way to knock Palin down. I mean God forbid anyone goes after Obama’s kids, that’s bad, but A Ok when they go after Palin, cause she be nothing more than a dumb Alaskan Red Neck, out to convert everyone to her form of CHristianity.

      I”m being Sarcastic.

  3. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker January 2nd, 2015 at 1:30 pm

Trip, Track, Clap, Trap…abusing a family pet will cause a flap.
Especially when you have an ignorant grandmother who posts this crap.

    • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 2:31 pm

Help me out here – I’m not fully up on all things Palinesque….in the article it says Trig is her 6 year old son??? But I thought he was her grandson too – who are Swallow (Willow?) and Brisket (Bristol?)

      • KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker January 2nd, 2015 at 2:39 pm

        I really can’t keep Track, Trick…whatever.
I assumed it was Bristol the boxer’s kid.

        • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 2:42 pm

Hahaha….love it! “Bristol the boxer’s kid”..thanks for the laugh…(can’t keep Track, Trick…..snickering whilst upvoting).

      • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:00 pm

Trig is her 6 year old, who has Down Syndrome. Her Daughter also had a child, but I don’t know his name either.

  4. tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 1:43 pm

So in Caribou Barbie’s world, the lesson learned is that you should use any one or any thing that stands in your way, as a stepping stone. No matter what it costs, or who is hurt, if they won’t get out of the way, just step on them…..

    • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:06 pm

unless they’re Iranian, Russian or any country that allows Muslims to protest (Australia for example) – then you should BOMB THE BEJEEZUS out of ’em!

just to show them you’re a loving Krisitan people that DEMAND to be heard!

      • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 2:11 pm

Exactly…and who better to represent the “loving Kristian people” than that shining beacon of humanity and compassion herself…!!

        • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:15 pm

I’m inclined to believe that if she was representing God’s voice (with Cindy’s shopping card), He’d at least let her buy a half ass decent wig?

  5. rf7777 January 2nd, 2015 at 1:51 pm

Aside from the abuse of the animal, it is bad parenting. If the dog suddenly felt pain, it would react instinctively. It could bite the kid or jump up and toss the kid head first onto the hard floor. It is indefensible on all counts.

    • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:10 pm

not if it has a BULLWINKLE MEMORY!

“do I lay here and endure this degrading pain -or- let the Tundra drunkard turn me into a mooseburger”?

    • rg9rts January 2nd, 2015 at 2:29 pm

Judging from the parentage ,,,,no loss

  6. granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 2:17 pm

-at least it seems like she’s learned her lesson about reminding the general public who she is!

  7. rg9rts January 2nd, 2015 at 2:35 pm

Think she’d destroy the dog if he bit the brat?

    • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 2:37 pm

I think predicting what future $ara will do is an exercise in futility other than GOING FOR THE GOLD.

    • Carla Akins January 2nd, 2015 at 6:04 pm

The child is not at fault, he has down syndrome and although I have no personal knowledge of Trig – down syndrome children are almost universally loving and sweet. I believe it’s the parenting he receives (based on these photos) that should be in question – I wouldn’t call him a brat, I don’t think he knows better.

      • rg9rts January 3rd, 2015 at 1:26 am

He’s not labeled and trust me Carla …the last thing I’m interested is the family lineage of that thing.

  8. Chinese Democracy January 2nd, 2015 at 2:38 pm

  9. mrbigstuff January 2nd, 2015 at 2:41 pm

He thought it was Alan West or one of the other House Negoes that drop by.

  10. Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 2:59 pm

That is one calm dog, shows good training. I also don’t see why her facebook post is relevant for discussion. The dog was fine, mom took a second to take a picture, then likely got the kid off the dog, and made a post later, on something she found to be deeply provoking. As a parent of an Autistic child, I understand her post and applaud it. Y’all need to pay attn to your own life and less of hers.

    • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 3:05 pm

Maybe you should take a spoonful of your own advice.

      • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:14 pm

Considering I don’t tell people how they should raise their kids, treat their dogs, or otherwise stick my nose where it doesn’t belong, maybe I am. Maybe you should make sure your life is cleaned up before commenting on others.

        • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 3:15 pm

See now there you go again, there are greater things in this world than us.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:17 pm

For people who complain about Christians force feeding their morals onto others, you sure love to be hypocritical about your own.

          • edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 3:18 pm

Read that 4 times, still doesn’t make any sense, buh bye.

          • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 3:21 pm

four, not 4, mr fancy pants grammar police. The greater things than humans is not a Universal philosophy. It is your own, that you are trying to put on me. It is not something I believe. Ergo, for people who complain about Christians wanting to put the 10 commandments in school, using there are greater things than us, as a philosophical Universal point, make you hypocritical.

Not that hard to understand really. Maybe you should stop policing grammar and pay attn to your own stuff.

          • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 3:24 pm

I don’t need your clown advise about a book that’s been abused more than a bad punchline

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:12 pm

oh jez, looks like ed has tapped into the asylum again.

where the heck is Shades with the white coat boys when you need her?

          • Oldest_Benjamin January 4th, 2015 at 7:02 pm

“four, not 4, mr fancy pants grammar police.”

            “…the 10 commandments…”

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:09 pm

            huh?
            huh?
            huh?
            huh?

looks like papal ed is correct.

        • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:08 pm

if you didn’t try to control other’s free expressions, you’d be a lot happier person, and a lot less judgmental.

ed is damn near the pontiff of LL and will only speak what his conscience bids him to type.

    • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 3:20 pm

she ( sarah palin ) claims to be a public figure and I don’t care if trig is a gifted genius ! His mother should be teaching her child to respect and train dogs properly rather then allowing him to abuse or possibly injure the animal

      • fancypants January 2nd, 2015 at 3:39 pm

Considering the dog laid there, and didn’ bite, or act out, the dog is trained properly
        ———————————————————–
I don’t know how this dog was trained but I do know that dogs allow abuse in fear of being abused if they DO bite someone in the family no matter how destructive they are to the animal
Sorry this is not proper training for a dog

      • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 3:59 pm

As a foster “mom” to rescue dogs, many of whom have been abused and abandoned by their “loving” families, this type of disregard and lack of concern, is cruel. The dog has probably been exposed to lots of similar treatment, and it’s response is fear-based as fancypants commented below. I was not aware that Trig had Downs syndrome, as you pointed out to me earlier, but that has absolutely nothing, zero, to do with this situation.

        • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 4:51 pm

Oh bullcrap. As a “rescue” mom you know more than most what “fear based” reactions are. It sure as heck isn’t laying down and acting docile!

          • tuckerb January 2nd, 2015 at 5:04 pm

“Oh bull crap”…? Yes, as a “rescue” mom I do know more than some…and I know that many, many dogs will retreat and become withdrawn, unable to react with other dogs, humans. Do some act out aggressively, absolutely! Others, not so much. Why? Because past experience has taught them that the best way to react, is to be “docile and remain lying down…..

      • jasperjava January 2nd, 2015 at 4:03 pm

“post deeply moving thoughts on her facebook.”

Nothing that $arah Palin has ever posted on Facebook has ever involved “thought”, deeply moving or otherwise.

I have trouble wrapping my mind over being “moved” by anything $arah ever did or said, except moved to laughter or disgust.

        • Bianca Bradley January 2nd, 2015 at 4:52 pm

Than stay off her facebook, or off posts about her. This is a milestone, kid is showing independance and wanting to help, and is problem solving to get that done.

          • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 5:02 pm

how about throwing her off facebook and out of any cyber postings? The overall adjustment would be trivial in comparison to the vast number of people on planet earth you want to limit.

          • eyelashviper January 2nd, 2015 at 6:29 pm

No, a good parent would have immediately responded to the childs request to help, and would have found a stool, and make it clear that standing on an animal is not appropriate behavior.

          • jasperjava January 2nd, 2015 at 6:58 pm

I never go to $arah’s Facebook, I can’t stomach the stupidity.

If there’s a post on Liberaland about this vile disgusting woman, I will comment on it. Especially since there are badly brain-damaged people out there who think she is “deeply moving”.

          • whatthe46 January 2nd, 2015 at 9:22 pm

i know one of those “badly brain-damaged” people you’re talking about. wink wink.

      • Oldest_Benjamin January 4th, 2015 at 6:59 pm

“…or she can’t post deeply moving thoughts on her Facebook.”

        comedy gold right there…

    • granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 4:59 pm

would that we could, but when a Tundra lush is swerving all over the highway at life threatening speeds, it’s kinda difficult to expect them to disappear like Republican civil servants when they get into office.

    • eyelashviper January 2nd, 2015 at 6:35 pm

Facebook is always relevant for discussion, and that is why people put comments and images there, especially if they are well known, as is Palin.
You are so sure that the dog was fine, but knowing animals, I doubt that it was happy with the big child standing on its back and then its side, and could actually be injured with such pressure on its spine.
No one who is a parent should every encourage a child, particularly those with special needs, to use an animal as a stepping stool, and then take photos to post for all the world to see.

  11. illinoisboy1977 January 2nd, 2015 at 3:32 pm

Um… If the dog doesn’t want to be in that predicament, he’ll make it known. This is a non-story.

    • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 4:24 pm

yes, and if you abuse a dog, the dog will let it be known, too, so how about not abusing in the first place

      • illinoisboy1977 January 2nd, 2015 at 4:32 pm

A 40 pound child on a labrador’s back is hardly abuse. The dog will growl or snap, if he doesn’t want the kid up there.

        • eyelashviper January 2nd, 2015 at 6:38 pm

A very profound reason why a parent should never allow a child to do such a thing. This boy is not being served well by such parental lapses in judgment.

        • StoneyCurtisll January 2nd, 2015 at 10:06 pm

What makes you think the dog didn’t growl or snap a second or two after the picture was snapped?

      • illinoisboy1977 January 2nd, 2015 at 4:47 pm

I want to thank you for a wonderful site. It’s nice to be able to debate and discuss with intelligent people and not have individuals spew hate and threats, simply because I might disagree with their point of view. I have a lot of conservative views and a few liberal ones. I like to think I’m right-leaning, middle-of-the-road, though my liberal friends will tell you I’m a rabid Republican and my conservative friends will tell you I’m a loony liberal. I guess I just like to judge an issue through the lens of my own observation and experience, rather than conform to anyone’s idea of “correct” or “proper”. Again, thanks for your hard work, Alan.

        • Alan January 2nd, 2015 at 5:23 pm

          thanks for the kind words.

    • Hirightnow January 2nd, 2015 at 4:50 pm

I’m torn between agreeing with you, and pointing out that Mom went and got a camera before telling the kid not to stand on a 75 lb wolf-descended carnivore.

    • Shades January 2nd, 2015 at 5:00 pm

Well-trained or not, you don’t allow your child to stand on top of a dog EVER! Much less, take photos and post them on FB.

  12. cc January 2nd, 2015 at 4:01 pm

Alan, did you take Ellen to task when she did the same thing?

    • Carla Akins January 2nd, 2015 at 6:22 pm

Please point to the part in the article where Palin was taken to task. I’ll wait here.

      • Chinese Democracy January 2nd, 2015 at 7:33 pm

        hehehe

  13. granpa.usthai January 2nd, 2015 at 4:55 pm

    WTF!
next time I’ll read the post caption.

    ‘Sara angers animal lovers’?

yea, right. – like everybody else has never been angry with Sara?

  14. Red Eye Robot January 2nd, 2015 at 6:19 pm

Any moment the aggrieved left will come down on Ellen like a ton of bricks

    • eyelashviper January 2nd, 2015 at 6:36 pm

So because some other child, albeit much smaller, has stood on a dog, that makes it OK?????

      • burqa January 2nd, 2015 at 6:43 pm

I think he’s condemning Palin and needs to toss in a shot at Ellen, to sorta balance it out, somehow.
        Like provide some cover.

    • Hirightnow January 2nd, 2015 at 8:05 pm

And yet,Ellen has never been considered for public office, where the standards are (somewhat) higher than they are for talk show host…
      Funny, that…

    • cecilia January 2nd, 2015 at 10:23 pm

btw, I think this is also “stupid”.

I’m giving NO ONE a pass for letting children stand on dogs.

I realize that some dogs are very sweet and will let babies do things like this. Eventually, the dog will get tired and just move away.

But if there is a grown up in the room, they will say, “we don’t step on dogs, darling”

    • fancypants January 3rd, 2015 at 2:53 pm

TV shows will do anything for ratings even if it takes insulting their entire audience
sarah on the other hand is still trying to find an audience that doesn’t ring her doorbell while saying ” here for the beer “

    • aerix88 January 4th, 2015 at 2:20 pm

Can’t excuse condoning this type of action for anyone… but one thing to point out is, this isn’t Ellen’s kid, whereas with Sarah, she is in charge of her son. Again, doesn’t condone Ellen saying “oh this is cute” when it’s a dangerous habit to get into.

  15. burqa January 2nd, 2015 at 6:42 pm

As time goes by, I find it harder and harder to get up for Palin.
No, wait, that didn’t come out right.
    Or maybe it did.
    I’m so confused…………………………

  16. Jones January 2nd, 2015 at 7:05 pm

When a child steps on a dog…the first thing a responsible adult would do is to tell them to get off, not take pictures.
But who am I to judge?

  17. edmeyer_able January 2nd, 2015 at 7:40 pm

One of the best quotes in the entire article…..

    with an oblivious mama

    How was this missed.

  18. whatthe46 January 2nd, 2015 at 9:16 pm

no no no baby, we don’t step on the dog. but, that’s just me.

  19. StoneyCurtisll January 2nd, 2015 at 10:13 pm

If Sarah Palin wanted to really to allow little ‘trig’ to help with the dishes, she could have provided a stool for him to stand on, therefore eliminating any metaphorical “stumbling block” in his quest to wash imaginary “dirty dishes”..

    • Oldest_Benjamin January 4th, 2015 at 6:56 pm

hey stoney! haven’t seen you around for a while. hope all is well.

      • StoneyCurtisll January 4th, 2015 at 10:45 pm

        Hey man~!
Things are goin real well here..
        Hope the same for you.
Ya wont see me around MMfA cause of the overwhelming number of trolls.
This is a really nice site with full time moderators, non of that nonsense from the crazies like Andy and Ray.

  20. Boehner-Monkey January 3rd, 2015 at 1:50 pm

This is unfair scrutiny. What the media is not telling you is that the dog dragged me by my thong dress and ruined my three hundred dollar sunglasses. Then it insulted my effing little sister.

  21. Par4thecourse January 3rd, 2015 at 6:19 pm

We would certainly hear/read that the kid was bit and the dog put down.. and we would not have these pics to look at.. what a freakin moron.. if she had a brain she would be dangerous. I still think she would be better off working the corners of some city.. useless twit.

  22. edmeyer_able January 3rd, 2015 at 11:37 pm

And just when you think she can’t be any more clueless…
