This is why I stay home on New Years. Too much craziness out there (and that’s saying something, coming from a guy nicknamed “The Wild One”). After a string of bad New Years experiences, I finally learned my lesson and stay home….

        Indeed.
The old Keith Richards line comes to mind. Jagger would introduce the band, Richards last. He’d wave to the crowd, step up to the mic and say, “Thank you. It’s nice to be here……it’s nice to be anywhere, really.”

“…alcohol was potentially a factor in the violence and that an investigation is ongoing.” more like idiots bringing a gun to a party. alcohol can play a role in violence, but they would have just fallin’ down trying to knock each other out with fist. be careful who you invite.
