[su_right_ad]David Duke was interviewed on CNN by Michael Smerconish and couldn’t give a definitive answer about whether Congressman Steve Scalise attended an event hosted by his organization.

Scalise, the House Majority Whip, publicly admitted that in 2002, he attended a white supremacist convention organized by Duke’s European-American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO), which is classified as a hate group.

The man who told The Washington Post he asked Scalise to speak took exactly one day to take it back and say that actually, Scalise didn’t attend the event. So which is it?

That was the question Smerconish posed to Duke this morning. And Duke honestly could not say for sure whether Scalise attended that 2002 conference, saying that he was out of the country at the time and the people he spoke to gave him contradicting accounts.

Duke gave Scalise some words of praise this week, but on CNN he made it very clear that he isn’t a supporter of Scalise’s, nor the other way around. He also reiterated his threat to other politicians that he will out their connections to him if they throw Scalise under the bus.

Was it the hood that made it hard for him to be identified?

Scalise already confirmed that he spoke at the racist event. So, whether Duke says he was or wasn’t, isn’t really an issue IMO

with all the “threats” that duke was making earlier this week about outing everyone, i wonder what made him backtrack now? did someone threaten him?

Good question. He should go all Anonymous on them and release the names.

I doubt anyone to be outed would dare, if in fact Duke actually knows anything. My guess he’s just milking this for attention.

Either this beast was paid, threatened, or told the power he currently holds is in jeopardy if he keeps threatening the politicians he has in his pocket.

Whether he was at that one event, or not, he has a history of affiliation with several “white advocacy” groups. Even though he may not believe everything they espouse, he’s willing to validate their viewpoints by speaking at their events. That’s enough to make me want to steer clear of him.
