bfmtv[su_thin_right_skyscraper_ad]While NBC News had been reporting that two of the three suspects in Wednesday’s bloody attack on the Paris office of Charlie Hebdo magazine have been arrested and one was dead, official French sources have not been as forthcoming with details. At 8:30pmEST, France’s BFMTV is now reporting that the youngest suspect voluntarily turned himself into police custody as members of RAID, France’s national antiterrorist police bureau, are poring over an apartment in Reims. Agence France Presse reported the same information at about the same time, as NBC News’ Pete Williams reported that he expects French police to issue an update in the morning local Paris time (very early AM New York time).

Williams, who had been reporting one dead and two in custody citing information from two senior U.S. counterterrorism officials, walked back that earlier report, saying, “To be fair here we just don’t know exactly what the situation is in France.”

All the usual speculation from the corporate media. They all want to get the story before the other so-called news organizations.
