Lets just face the reality that even with safety training, Guns are not for everybody. Some people will always be quick to shoot.

I am in total agreement, and I mention it often. I am one of those folks, unfortunately, the young and the criminally stupid too often cannot see this in themselves. Which is why I think it’s imperative that gun owners should be required to take a safety course and pass a proficiency and psychological tests, as well as a background investigation.

Exactly. Guns can be used to kill. You must give it the respect it deserves. You have to be licensed to drive a vehicle. You have to prove that you have knowledge of the safe handling of that vehicle, and you have to pass a “proficiency test” where you are tested on the road. So then, why can’t we apply this towards guns. You can even have people register and test at the DMV, since the system is already in place. Just add ann extra cubicle for gun licensing and registration.

I guess no one looks at who or what they are shooting, why waste time? Just point the gun and shoot is the way to go.
