[su_right_ad]Yes, this is the country where we spent 13 years and lost thousands of lives. Oh, and threw away billions of taxpayer dollars. We’ve left it in much better shape. Not.

Hundreds in southern Afghanistan rallied to praise the killing of 12 people at the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo, calling the two gunmen “heroes” who meted out punishment for cartoons disrespectful to Islam’s prophet, officials said Saturday.

The demonstrators also protested President Ashraf Ghani’s swift condemnation of the bloody attack on the satirical newspaper, according to the officials in Uruzgan province.

The rally came after worshippers left Friday prayers at a local mosque in Chora district and swelled to several hundred people, said Chora police chief Abdul Qawi.

“The protesters were calling the attackers heroes and were shouting that those who had mocked the Prophet Mohammad were punished,” Qawi said.

It has nothing to do with religion. Those aren’t real Muslims.

    What are you talking about??

This is another far right “pundit” who refuses to acknowledge the role of the rightist in promoting the the very monster his side has created.

His job is to assuage the right and tell them EXACTLY what he wants to hear.

The Guardian is leftwing. The right has created the monster…agreed.

But the author is right wing.

In my opinion..criticism of the far left is not necessarily being rightwing.
Ar any rate, when I read an article I try to assess it objectively without the prejudice of a right/left filter. Sometimes the people I disagree with the most will say something that makes sense. I thought his views on this issue were worthy of consideration and not at all similar to what I am hearing from the right.

            ______

            No, it’s not.
Being right wing is being right wing.

I’ve always put the guy in with the other neocons.

the only thing worse than a religious bigot is a religious bigot who is too stupid to use his own words to express his profound ignorance.

    that would be you.

Respecting peaceful Muslims and their religious figures is not caving into a demand of those on the far-right.

    • Apocalypse January 12th, 2015 at 12:55 pm

I don’t disagree with that. I interpreted what I quoted to mean that the jihadist want to create a strong rightwing backlash…making life hard for Muslims…pushing moderate Muslims to the radicals…with the overall aim of civil war.

Until you have a comment history, try being a little more clear in your writing. We don’t want people miss interpreting things.

I have a progressive neurological condition that makes typing difficult. I’m often lazy…cutting and pasting, then linking to the article. I make short comments and replies for the same reason.

you just have a problem with honesty and truth, but then again that is a rw problem

I’m so happy my taxpayer dollars went to such appreciative people.
