[su_right_ad]Republican State Senator Thomas O’Mara exploded at a constituent who videotaped a conversation they had about a gas storage project. O’Mara and his wife were in a car and stopped to talk with the man who pressed him about the issue.

O’Mara remained calm for about four minutes while the constituent pushed his point.

But after his wife insisted the couple would never support anything that would contaminate a nearby lake, the questioner skeptically said, “That’s interesting.”

O’Mara exploded, launching into a profanity-laced 40-second tirade in which he called the questioner a “d—–bag” and “a–wipe” and screamed for him to “get the f— out of my face.”

O’Mara on Tuesday called it “regrettable that the exchange ultimately turned heated and, as an elected official, I regret the words and tone that were used. I still don’t like the underhanded tactics, but I should know better.”

The video gets “interesting” at about 4:15

Sounds like the Chris Chrstie school of speaking to voters. This is just disrespectful. Nobody should be spoken to this way.

Don’t blame O’Mara for his behavior—he was just displaying his firm belief in his Christian and family values.
