    Maybe wanting us to “like” this story is kind of inappropriate. Maybe having a human editor in the loop is a good idea.

    And as you can see in the picture, the council member on the left had his firearm out ready to protect them all. Thank God, a good guy with a gun.

      The shooter was taken out by police officers who were attending the ceremony. Your good guy with a gun at the dais was pointing the gun towards the gallery where spectators sit. Unless this man was a 100% certain dead eye shot, it is a good thing he did not fire and let the professionals handle the situation, lest he hit an innocent bystander. And my meager collection of two .380acp pistols hardly qualifies me as a firearms expert, but the man is holding his weapon at chest level. No course I have ever taken instructs you to acquire your target holding your weapon at your chest.

      What we have here is another illustration that the NRA talking point about criminals avoiding locations where potential victims are known to be armed, is pure horsesh*t.
