Christian Moms Outraged By Pop Tart Commercial
[su_right_ad]The offending words: “jam it.”
One Million Moms is no stranger to controversy, and their latest crusade goes up against Pop Tarts for a recent commercial that they claim is not appropriate for children. In the commercial, a mother Pop Tart and father Pop Tart are looking at their newborn Pop Tart baby in the hospital as they note to each other that it has one’s “peanut butter” and the other’s “jelly.”
Suddenly, the nurse walks in and says to the newborn, “Time for a feeding,” to which one Pop Tart parent responds, “No! Ah, jam it!”
One Million Moms claims that the commercial’s use of the phrase “jam it” implies the use of a curse word and is therefore inappropriate.

Some people just try too damn hard to be offended. This is beyond petty.

How do you get so repressed that something like that upsets you?
Spirit of America January 31st, 2015 at 6:05 am
Being offended is all the rage, in vogue, the thing to be…
From football team names to ‘jam it’… even if it is offensive, so what? What we used to call ‘have some backbone’ and ‘tough skin’ is getting less and less common.
When you foster a culture of weakness, you get a culture of weakness. This is just 1 of many symptoms of such sowing.
btw, the commercial is funny.

Why do they have TV’s in their homes anyway? Get over it, or turn the channel. If it were truly offensive or harmful they would have my full support but they pick the stupidest damn things. SMDH.

One day they’re watching pop tart commercials that say “jam it” and the next day they’re working at Fox saying “F*ck it we’ll do it live.”

Upvoted just “because…”
We as a nation shall never forget.

Wait until they see that Salt n Peppa “Push it real good” ad….Their bloomers will shriek with horror….

If you look hard and long enough, there is nothing that won’t offend some people. They need to get over themselves, the rest of us definitely have.

Are you telling me I DON’T LOOK LONG AND HARD…../s

I liked that commercial. And since I’m not an uptight, Christian fundamentalist who needs to get laid, I just don’t see the outrage.

I have a feeling the membership of 1 million moms is slightly less than 1 million. Let the bitter beotches freak as history tromps over them
Ron Jackson January 30th, 2015 at 3:58 pm
Tried of these right wing bible thumping freaks
Jeanne Katz January 30th, 2015 at 4:16 pm
Gotta love how far the high & mighty will stretch to proclaim outrage over nonsense.
eyelashviper January 30th, 2015 at 4:25 pm
Wonder if they are outraged because there are no white M&Ms..???
Larry Schmitt January 30th, 2015 at 5:42 pm
At least there are no black ones. The good lord spared us that.
