[su_right_ad]In David Axelrod’s new book, Believer, the former Obama adviser says Mitt Romney told the president he won only because of the black vote. The president was not happy with the tone of the concession.

President Obama was shocked and irritated by Mitt Romney’s concession callin the 2012 presidential election—and claimed Romney insinuated that Obama won only by getting out the black vote, according to a new book by presidential campaign strategist David Axelrod.

Obama was “unsmiling during the call, and slightly irritated when it was over,” Axelrod writes.

The president hung up and said Romney admitted he was surprised at his own loss, Axelrod wrote.

“‘You really did a great job of getting the vote out in places like Cleveland and Milwaukee,’ in other words, black people,'” Obama said, paraphrasing Romney. “That’s what he thinks this was all about.”

No, Mitt the Shark lost because the majority of voters weren’t fooled by his transparent veneer and properly identified him as a self-centered opportunistic vulture capitalist who embodies the very worst of crony capitalism (with the exception of Darth Dick Cheney)!

I voted for Obama twice, not because of his skin color, nor mine, but because he brought a fresh perspective, intelligence, and honest desire to help the many instead of the few, a concept completely foreign in today’s Republican party… (and I’m a middle-aged white guy in a deeply Red state!)

Maybe this was the reason Mittens pulled out of the race. When people discover his childish antic, he’ll lose easily.

Well if those pesky negros were not allowed to vote…
Our president would be called Mittens..

This is just another way the right wing tries to delegitimize the election of the President.

“‘You really did a great job of getting the vote out in places like
Cleveland and Milwaukee,’ in other words, black people,’” Obama said,
    paraphrasing Romney.

So, Romney never actually said “black people”; Obama just inferred that was what he meant. You’re reaching, Alan. (I’m a liberal, btw.)

It’s never Mitt’s fault, it’s always somebody or something else. Or maybe it’s the 47% from the cell phone video. Or maybe it’s everybody thinking he would have made a terrible president.

Garnering the vast majority of the black vote certainly helped Barack Obama win the presidency. That is a fact.

It is also a fact that President Obama won the female vote and the youth vote.
Mitt Romney won the white male vote and won the “independent” vote.

Even though the black vote alone was not the deciding factor in Barack Obama’s re-election, it certainly didn’t hurt him. Romney, did indeed speak the truth. The Democrats did a better job of getting out the vote for their candidate than did the Republicans for their candidate. And whether the voters in Cleveland or Milwaukee were white, black, purple or persimmon is secondary to the fact that the Democrats did a better job of getting out the vote in those cities.

I am not certain that any intentional or hidden racism was embedded in Romney’s statement. All I know is that racism is erroneously charged at times when the speaker does not have a racist intent and is more of a reflection of the listener’s sensitivity or “thin-skin.”.

Dear Mitt, you lost because you’re an asshole who doesn’t care about half of the people in the country.
You lost because you told piles of lies on a daily basis… in case you don’t remember: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/slacktivist/2012/08/29/mitt-romney-tells-533-lies-in-30-weeks-steve-benen-documents-them/

You lost, Mitt, because you suck as a human.
