Benjamin Cole couldn’t hold onto his job after has racist Facebook posts surfaced.[su_center_ad]

A series of posts on his personal Facebook page were unearthed Thursday first by a writer for the liberal website Think Progress and then by Buzzfeed that sparked the controversy.

“I am extremely disappointed by the inexcusable and offensive online comments made by a member of my staff,” Schock said in a statement to the Journal Star. “I would expect better from any member of my team. Upon learning about them I met with Mr. Cole and he offered his resignation which I have accepted.”

Everyone posting anything, anywhere on ANY social media can assume that anyone will see it (except for private messages). Because even if you limit the group to a handful of people who see it, one or 2 of them will share. There are no true secrets on social media. And how a Congressional staffer could even BEGIN to think these comments were appropriate boggles my mind.

Yeah, because people are blabby pretty often. However, I don’t say anything anywhere that the NSA or the world wouldn’t find pretty boring…ha ha ha! I save the good stuff for real human contact. 😉
