Because he’s crazy, that’s why.

“This would be an attack on the people of the United States more grievous than that which led the first generation of Americans to declare their independence from Great Britain,” he writes. “If even a significant minority of Americans continue in their attachment to the unalienable right of liberty (as opposed to the licentious freedom that has, in some quarters usurped that name) this attack is likely to produce the separation and dissolution of the United States, for like humanity itself the United States is inconceivable apart from respect for God-endowed unalienable r [su_center_ad]ight.”

I think gay marriage will lead to the eventual destruction of Alan Keys. Relax, buddy. It’s just people exercising their inalienable rights, not an asteroid headed for earth.

  2. StoneyCurtisll February 7th, 2015 at 10:35 am

    Keys is a fool…
Is he thinking of running again?

see the RIGHT WING DUNCE CONTEST, above, for confirmation…….

If people who loved each other and get married destroys us, I would want to be destroyed, I would believe we are too weak to continue as a country. However, we are hardly weak and that is why we believe, without exclusion, that we are all equal and therefore should be allowed to carry out or rights we have been given as humans.

  4. ExPFCWintergreen February 7th, 2015 at 10:59 am

    Alan Keyes is still alive?

    • Dwendt44 February 7th, 2015 at 12:20 pm

      He’s just irrelevant.

    • tiredoftea February 7th, 2015 at 6:34 pm

There is no evidence of his brain being alive, but, otherwise, yes.

Meanwhile, two years ago in the country of right wingers’ favorite head of state

    http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/jewish-world-news/conservative-movement-sanctions-same-sex-marriage-1.433911

The Rabbinical Assembly’s Committee on Jewish Law and Standards, which sets halakhic policy for the Conservative movement, has voted unanimously to provide the approximately 1,600 Conservative rabbis with guidelines on performing same-sex marriages.

The move is an official sanction of the ceremonies by the movement.

      whew!

at least now gays won’t have to make the dangerous trip outside Israel to get married.

  6. William February 7th, 2015 at 11:06 am

“than that which led the first generation of Americans to declare their independence from Great Britain,” he writes.”

It really takes a special kind of incredibly stupid audience to subscribe to the link between the revolution and gay marriage.

      That we know of.

    • Larry Schmitt February 7th, 2015 at 7:17 pm

      Only in his own mind.

  9. Maxx44 February 7th, 2015 at 6:53 pm

Loons like Keyes are a much greater threat to the U.S. than people exercising their rights.

    • whatthe46 February 7th, 2015 at 10:11 pm

      everyday all day.

  10. burqa February 7th, 2015 at 6:57 pm

    Well well well.
Alan Keyes has obviously thrown his hat in the ring for the 2016 GOP nomination with this spectacular bit of dumbass. He leaps right over Allen Nunnalee, Ted Cruz, Stacy Campfield, Joe Barton and Rick Perry into 20th place in the RIGHT WING DUNCE CONTEST! It’s gonna be a long climb to get to the top and there’s some real idiots in there, especially at the top, but who knows, maybe he can pull it off! He’s dopey enough, he’s stupid enough, and doggone it, people loathe him!

I like the little ‘not a witch’ from Delaware.

      She’s got a purty mouth.

  11. tracey marie February 7th, 2015 at 7:07 pm

When black men use the same argument that racist white men used to enslave then deny “mixed marriage”…what are they called besides dumbasses?

    • whatthe46 February 7th, 2015 at 10:10 pm

i can’t use that word. and the phrase “token black” ain’t it.

  12. bpollen February 7th, 2015 at 11:50 pm

Unbridled capitalism, self-serving anti-regulatory fervor, and the destruction of the middle class and the environment are all OK… but gay marriage will destroy us all! Just send me $199.95 for a month’s worth of freeze-dried food and water (just add water!) so you can survive the coming apocalypse. And be sure to shop with the NRA, one of our major supporters.

    • granpa.usthai February 8th, 2015 at 1:46 am

MIXED FIBER wearers have been trying to blame God’s wrath on anybody else ever since they got their butts scorched at Sodom and Gomorrah.

  13. granpa.usthai February 8th, 2015 at 1:41 am

where, EXACTLY, in the US Constitution does it mention ‘liberty – except if you are gay’?

  14. burqa February 8th, 2015 at 5:03 am

[ burqa, leaning against a door frame daydreams one of his favorite games – King for A Day and thinks, “hmmmm, if I were king and could do one of two things, which would I choose?
    1) Get rid of the designated hitter rule
    2) Put Alan Keyes in a rocket and shoot him into the sun….

    hmmmm.

    Damn, that’s a tough one…..” ]

Alan Keyes is a genius. He may also prove to be a prophet.
