[su_center_ad]In an attempt to make Jeb Bush look transparent by releasing years of emails, personal information on senders was also revealed.

We do not know yet if any of these email disclosures violate Florida privacy laws — as Bush notes in the signature of many of his emails, “Florida has a very broad public records law,” and “your email communications may therefore be subject to public disclosure.” However, Florida’s sunshine law provides exceptions that may have prohibited disclosure of social security numbers…

Time reporter Zeke Miller, reporting from a Q&A with Jeb Bush, reported on Twitter that Bush is now aware of the personal information in the email dump, and that it will be removed. Miller reports that Bush’s PAC posted only what is already in the public record, echoing the statement given by Bush’s spokesperson to BuzzFeed News. We’re not sure how long that will take, or if Bush’s PAC will take down the emails temporarily in the meantime (it will presumably take a while to scan through hundreds of thousands of emails), but we’ll keep you updated.

Aren’t there criminal penalties for stuff like this? …………..oh to be a lawyer in Florida these days……one hopes the Bush fortune is big enough to cover the lawsuits, but not so big as to leave more than a few pennies rattling around in the bottom of a piggy bank once the smoke clears….

    Dear Governor Bush…
am trying to figure out who’s the ‘black sheep’ in your family… sure, Grandpa collaborated with the Nazi’s and may have tried to overthrow our government back in FDR’s day, and your dad may have been involved in killing JFK. George “he kept us safe” lying us to war in Iraq (maybe Afghanistan, too) makes him a strong candidate… then there’s Neil (something about banks), and Marvin (in charge of WTC security on 9/11 (some folks have some serious questions about that))…your role in stealing the 2000 election (and whatever else you’ve done, or may yet do) might make you a contender. I’m guessing that if someone (Jenna?, Laura?…) were to start telling the truth about things, they would be considered for that role/honor.
