[su_right_ad]Yoga pants and speedos give “indecent exposure” to certain body parts, says the legislator.

Republican David Moore proposed the bill, according to the Billings Gazette, after he witnessed naked bicyclists last year and decided to crack down on indecent exposure laws. But beyond just people exposing certain body parts they shouldn’t, Moore also wants to crack down on clothing that conforms to certain areas of the body.

And that includes yoga pants, which, Moore said, “should be illegal in public anyway.”

The key part of the bill, which sounds more graphic than the actual use of the clothing in question.

…exposes any device, costume, or covering that gives the appearance of or simulates the genitals, pubic hair, anus region, or pubic hair region or exposes any device worn as a cover over the nipple or areola of the female breast that simulates and gives the realistic appearance of a nipple or areola while in a public place or visible from a public place without taking reasonable precautions to prevent exposure, and disregards whether a reasonable person would be offended or alarmed by the act.

No doubt he says he hates Big Government, too.

  2. Larry Schmitt February 11th, 2015 at 5:06 pm

Here’s an idea. Make being stupid in public illegal. That would put Mr. Moore behind bars. I’m glad the Montana taxpayers are getting such a bargain in their legislature.

  3. Foundryman February 11th, 2015 at 5:14 pm

“Republican David Moore”….of course since it’s always republicans who want less government in their lives, why not start to ban pants?…..

  4. burqa February 11th, 2015 at 5:24 pm

Note to self: If ever in Montana, leave my shirts with the fake nipple and areolas at home.
    Check.

I’m not even sure I know what yoga pants are.
But one thing they sure as hell need to do something about is these guys who wear flip-flops, shorts and tank top undershirts outside when it’s 10 degrees out, winds are 25 mph & gusting to 35, and there’s a foot of snow on the ground. Fine-em and make it legal to poke them with sharpened pencils or something….

They think they’re proving something and yes, they are – that they don’t know how to dress themselves.

    Yeaayyyy Montana!!!

  6. Jimmy Fleck February 11th, 2015 at 5:37 pm

This is so stupid. Does he realize that all yoga studios are considered public places? He would ban the wearing of yoga pants while doing yoga? And what about public pools? If he doesn’t like yoga pants I can’t imagine he is too fond of any swimwear.

    • Candide Thirtythree February 12th, 2015 at 7:29 pm

If they ever get one law passed, they will never stop until all women are wearing the wearable tents of the middle east.

Fine, then anyone running for office needs to have an IQ over 20 and no history of inbreeding in the family. That would be a good start to remove these misogynistic morons from elected office.

Another “morality” policeman who most probably has a skeleton or two in his closet.

At a minimum, another faux conservative with sexual issues. Seems to be a lot of them in the RW

  17. Mike February 11th, 2015 at 9:50 pm

Do these people ever govern or just keep re-writing the dress code…?

  18. majii February 11th, 2015 at 10:01 pm

When will GOP/TP males “get” it that women are not in control of the lewd and lascivious minds of some males? We’re not the thought/mind police. They’re more into shariah law than they will acknowledge.

  19. whatthe46 February 11th, 2015 at 10:34 pm

I think they already did that

  20. Fossil1944 February 11th, 2015 at 11:54 pm

Republicans simply do not know how to govern. I should correct that by saying that this 21st century bunch of republicans don’t know how to govern. There was a time decades ago when they were a party with ideas that could be supported by the majority. How they manage to maintain their strangle hold on state and local politics must be quite a topic of discussion and research in the top Political Science Universities.

    • rg9rts February 12th, 2015 at 4:13 am

Are there any old abandoned uranium mines and such out there leeching into ground or drinking water out there?

  29. Candide Thirtythree February 12th, 2015 at 7:25 pm

That is pretty much what happened in Muslim countries, back when I was a kid Muslim women did not wear hijab or head scarf, they wore mini skirts and go-go boots just like every other country did in the 60s and 70s. Then one by one the laws demanding and item of clothing be banned until the women were wearing, wearable tents and gloves and boots.

As I recall, the hair covering was first then sandals. Then they started making laws about where women could go and even laws about painting windows black in some countries so that women would be completely erased from public view. One Saudi religious freak even tried to get the law passed to only allow ONE eye hole in the tent women in Saudi Arabia are forced to wear.

You never let one of those religious freaks ever make the first law about women’s dress because they will never be satisfied until they erase women from public completely.

Republicans are no different from Muslims when it comes to the atrocities that they would commit if allowed to in this country.
