[su_right_ad]Anomaly at FreakOutNation:

At around 7:00 p.m. on Monday February 9th, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to what is now deemed as an “accidental shooting” at a home in Louisiana.

What authorities found when they arrived on the scene was a 3-year-old girl with a self-inflicted gunshot wound…

We’ve said it countless times here before. A toddler/baby will see shiny objects and sometimes put them in their little mouths. Children are naturally curious. It’s as if this father was more concerned with his reckless use of a gun, than he was his own child…

It’s such a simple procedure to keep your weapons locked up safely away from your children. This little girl met such a violent and unnecessary death.

This isn’t a joke. These “accidents” happen far too often.

These stories are such regular occurrences.

They should be charged with negligent homicide in such cases. That would encourage people to lock their guns.

      Agreed, and also “Willful Ignorance!”

If only that were a crime…we’d have to lock up most of Texas, Alabama, and my own state, Florida.

I was going to say the same thing.

I was thinking the same thing too. So none of the adult gun owners are charged when these “accidents” happen?

      • Apocalypse February 13th, 2015 at 7:51 am

Sometimes they do face charges like child endangerment, but nothing serious like negligent homicide.

          wow, thats unbelievable

Please explain the accident…a 3 year old got hold of a gun, was able to operate it and killed herself…the gun worked perfectly and just as one would expect if a 3 year old was able to get hold of it. I fail to see the “accident”…I do see a case for negligent homicide.

No safety or much less a trigger lock ……but this is Louisiana and dad would have shot himself trying to install it.

    This was no accident.
