LaVera Aiken Dooley, 65, of Pecan Plantation, Texas, screamed for help during a 911 call just before being shot 6 times by her husband, 51-year-old Tommy Dooley, who admitted to killing her…

According to the sheriff, this marked the second time LaVera had called 911 for domestic issues; the first was Jan. 20. Dooley, he says, left the house before authorities arrived.

    “Pecan Plantation, Texas.” There’s your GOP base. 83% of the vote in Hood County went to Romney in 2012. Demographics = 98.11% White, 0.17% African American, 0.25% Native American, 0.42% Asian, 0.06% Pacific Islander, 0.28% from other races, and 0.71% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.43% of the population.
