[su_right_ad]This is a sure way to win the presidency: accuse the person you want to replace of treason. That will really win you a wide swath of the voting public.

While Democrats and some Republicans want to pass a clean funding bill for the department, many conservatives, including Carson, want to use the DHS legislation to block the president’s executive actions on immigration. Carson told host J.D. Hayworth, a former Republican congressman, that if Obama decides to “stand in the way, particularly to things that are vital to the security of this country, then I think we can start talking about treason.”

“If things are done that are contrary to the security of this country, whoever does them is guilty of treason,” Carson said.

That would be the people who are standing in the way of funding the Department of Homeland Security.

Every time this RWNJ opens his pie hole, I find it more difficult to believe he’s sane let alone a retired neurosurgeon! (I wonder if he retired because his patients all wanted refunds!)

NOW he’s a constitutional expert? He does get around. To bad he doesn’t realize he’s going nowhere politically. Republicans only use wannabe black politicians as window dressing, they’ll never nominate one for highest office.

Using logic when Ben Carson is concerned? That will never be easy to explain to his followers.

We are learning about the unintended effects of self performed brain surgery every time he opens his mouth.

I can’t believe that I used to look up to this guy and I really can’t believe that this is the same man that was a pioneer in pediatric neurosurgery. The stupidity that falls out of this man’s mouth leaves me nauseous.

Politicos who toss around the notion of political dissent by the opposition party being equivalent to “treason” are simply demonstrating that they are guilty of spewing Palin-esque inflammatory nonsense in order to garner the media spotlight.

This f*cker needs to shut up fast. He wants to be POTUS and doesn’t even know that no U.S. president has the power of the purse. President Obama isn’t responsible for funding the Dept. of Homeland Security, Congress is, and since Carson appears to think this president will be guilty of treason if Congress doesn’t pass a funding bill in the next few days, he’s a political doofus of the 1st order. He also doesn’t know how treason is defined in the Constitution. It’s not defined by whether a bill gets passed or not, and it’s not defined by presidents writing executive orders that someone doesn’t like/agree with. Every penny presidents spend must be pre-approved by Congress. The high school kids that I taught civics and U.S. history to know more about the Constitution than this tool does.

The more Ben Carson talks, the more I realize that he hasn’t a chance in hell of becoming POTUS. Some GOP/TPers think we blacks will vote for him because he’s black, too. Hell to the NO! If Clinton wins the nomination, that’s who over 95% of us will vote for. We know a fool when we see one, and Ben Carson is a politically-ignorant fool of the right. Because they’ve been puffing up his ego, he thinks he’s their man, but he’d better be careful, or he’ll be doing a Michael Steele. Steele didn’t know his “place” on the right until he discovered that the power-brokers wanted to end his RNC chairmanship. When he realized they were serious, he suddenly remembered that race matters, a lot, in the GOP/TP. No one in the GOP/TP has said one word about smirking, lying, sorry ass, Reince Priebus. In fact, they rewarded him by electing him for a second year of leadership of the RNC. Ben Carson had better learn the difference between himself and those he’s whoring for. Their affinity for him only goes so far.
