[su_r_sky_ad]Wayne Barrett, a former investigative reporter for Village Voice and now a Newsweek contributor, offers his response to Rudy Giuliani’s assertion that the President “doesn’t love America” in a deliciously blistering column at the Daily News:

Rudy Giuliani knows a lot about love.

Ask Regina Peruggi, the second cousin he grew up with and married, who was “offended” when Rudy later engineered an annulment from the priest who was his best man on the grounds, strangely enough, that she was his cousin. Or ask Donna Hanover, the mother of his two children, who found out he wanted a separation when he left Gracie Mansion one morning and announced it at a televised press conference.

Or ask Judi Nathan, his third wife, whom he started dating while still married to Hanover and New York mayor. In two SUVs, he and an entourage of six or seven cops traveled 11 times to Judi’s Hamptons getaway at a taxpayer cost of $3,000 a trip. That’s love.

Wayne’s just getting warmed up, sports fans. Read the rest here.[su_center_ad]

…not to mention that the President he was referring to there was most likely never actually elected, TWICE.

Ordinarily I do not condone personal attacks on politicians, regardless of their party.

But Giuliani’s remarks about the President were contemptible. Mr Mayor 9/11 deserves every bit of blowback he gets.

I voted twice for the President whose integrity you question. When you question his commitment to this country, you question mine as well and I do take that quite personally

So Rudy, the bottom line for me is very simple. F*ck you too!

It is important to understand the fundamental difference between our president and Rudy.

The Donald is giving Rudy a look. I don’t know if it’s love or contempt but my guess it’s the former….

Alan Colmes, you are the biggest horses ass on the Television / Radio. All you do is try to Justify everything that Obama does. You’re an apologist and a cheer leader. Worst of all, you’re a Hippocrate. Rudy Giuliani never called Mr. Obama Un patriotic, he stated that he felt that he didn’t love America. Of course when you were asked about Mr. Obama calling President Bush Unpatriotic, you attempted to spin it by saying that he wasn’t referring to Bush, the person, as unpatriotic, he was referring to the actions. Obama qualified his insult by stating that the National Debt increased by $4.9 trillion during Bush 2’s presidency, of course, we all know that the National Debt under President Obama has increased by over $7 trillion and he still has 2 years left. You’re a ridiculous person and I truly wish you would just go away.

First of all, Alan didn’t write this post. Reading is hard. Secondly, you’re on Alan’s private property. Or rather, you were.

Enjoy your day, but just not here.

      (On marrying your cousin.)
On this site, we shall build a new town, where we can worship freely govern justly and grow vast fields of hemp for making rope and blankets.
      – Yes, and marry our cousins.
      – I was What are you talking about, Shelbyville? Why would we marry our cousins? Because they’re so attractive.
I thought that was the whole point of this journey.
      – Absolutely not.
      – I tell you I won’t live in a town that robs men of the right to marry their cousins.
Well, then we’ll form our own town.

Why is Alan something you ship hippos in?

      • Larry Schmitt February 21st, 2015 at 12:16 pm

He thinks Alan’s a doctor, as in the Hippocratic oath.

        • bpollen February 21st, 2015 at 5:47 pm

Well, Rand Paul asserts he is a doctor, but I think he took the Hypocritic Oath.

The fact that this is what the GOP regards as a substantive topic for discussion is further evidence of the Republican Party’s increasing pettiness and superficiality.
