[su_right_ad]Rudy Giuliani says he’s getting death threats after his comments about how President Obama doesn’t love America. He spoke with CNN’s Jim Acosta.

Giuliani, of course, said earlier this week that he doesn’t think Obama loves this country because he criticizes it so much, has a different worldview than past presidents, and rarely talks about the good things in America. And as Giuliani told Acosta tonight, “I don’t regret making the statement. I believe it. I don’t know if he loves America.”

But Giuliani has been getting quite a lot of backlash, and he told Acosta that his office has been receiving multiple death threats. Acosta noted CNN could not confirm it and Giuliani didn’t say whether or not he had already alerted the police.

And once again, a vile excuse for humanity attempts to play the “victim card”.

Death threats are never acceptable but can he truly be this clueless. The headline of the DailyMail this morning read:
Rudy Giuliani insists he was right to say Obama ‘doesn’t love America’… because President met a communist in Indonesia when he was NINE

    • Larry Schmitt February 21st, 2015 at 10:18 am

Maybe Rooty has Mafia in his family background. He is Italian after all. Makes as much sense as the BS they keep shoveling about the president.

      • tiredoftea February 21st, 2015 at 5:25 pm

His father was a policy enforcer, so, yeah.

      • JimNauseam February 21st, 2015 at 6:03 pm

        Maybe?

      • John_St_John February 22nd, 2015 at 1:07 am

No maybe about it. Gulianni’s dad was locked up in Sing Sing for a few years due to his criminal acts and ties to the mob. Like Rudy said the other day, he was not brought up and raised like President Obama or the majority of Americans. He was raised to be a thief, liar, confidence man and all around scum rotten charlatan.

Neverminding of course that our biggest trading partner is China, one of the only remaining communist countries on the planet…

  4. arc99 February 21st, 2015 at 10:27 am

Mr. Giuliani did you notice that the President about whom you made such contemptible remarks never publicly whines about getting death threats?

He is more of an American, more of a man, more of a human being than you will ever be.

You reap what you sow Mr. Mayor. Couldn’t be happening to a more deserving person than to get a taste of what the President has endured for six years and did not look for a photo op seeking sympathy.

  5. OldLefty February 21st, 2015 at 10:27 am

And this brings us to yet another episode of the old political game show,
    Lying????
    OR….
    Stupid????

    Basically, what is worse?
Actually believing this hooey or knowing better and lying in order to part a few dolts from their money?

    • tiredoftea February 21st, 2015 at 5:24 pm

      He can’t be both?

      • OldLefty February 21st, 2015 at 5:42 pm

        DING!! DING!! DING!!

        Lying….
        AND…
        Stupid.

But seriously, I don’t think Rudy is stupid, just pandering in a sinister way.

  6. NW10 February 21st, 2015 at 10:29 am

Giuliani didn’t say whether or not he had already alerted the police.

He’s probably afraid the NYPD will actually set him on fire, like they threatened to do to him back in 1997.

  7. OldLefty February 21st, 2015 at 10:31 am

Do people who mindless repeat pre-masticated Pavlovian talking points at fund raisers have any more credibility when it comes to “death threats” than they have when the spew cynical and sinister hate speech as Rudy and his ilk do?

    • whatthe46 February 21st, 2015 at 11:51 am

      thank you

    • bluejayray February 21st, 2015 at 7:56 pm

I always figure that if they’ll lie to me about the piddly stuff, they’ll lie to me about everything.

      • OldLefty February 21st, 2015 at 8:19 pm

        Absolutely!

      • John_St_John February 22nd, 2015 at 1:03 am

As my dad taught me, a man or woman is only as good as their word and when they resort to lying their word is no longer to be trusted or accepted; nor their friendship sought out.

  8. Thomas Davidson February 21st, 2015 at 10:52 am

Well, my mother always taught us, when you do wrong, wrong will follow you. I don’t condone death threats, but people are sick and tired of the total inexcusable disrespect of President Obama and his family. This should be dealt with now by elected officials and candidates running to be our next President. Make them take a position on this issue, It’s got to be hurting us as a country around the world and keeping us divided. THIS MUST STOP!

  9. dave-dr-gonzo February 21st, 2015 at 11:03 am

I am guessing it’s not the first time America’s Drag Queen™ has received death threats.

    • whatthe46 February 21st, 2015 at 11:51 am

that’s if you believe him on this.

      • bluejayray February 21st, 2015 at 7:55 pm

I don’t. Not one bit. I call bullshit.

  11. Foundryman February 21st, 2015 at 2:01 pm

Getting death threats for proving you’re one of the stupidest persons around is a bit extreme, how about just putting him in a room and keep him gagged? Or better yet, put him in a room with a microphone so he can tell the world allllll about being conservative….

  12. Bunya February 21st, 2015 at 5:45 pm

Methinks this is just another ploy by Rudy to keep himself in the limelight, as the lights slowly dim.

    • Jake February 21st, 2015 at 7:05 pm

You beat me to that one.

    • bluejayray February 21st, 2015 at 7:53 pm

I’ve almost worked up a little tear in the corner of my eye…oh wait a minute, it was just a piece of dust….

  13. Jake February 21st, 2015 at 7:09 pm

I think what he is interpreting as “death threats” are the old draft letters he found in his office asking him to come and fight for the United States (you know, the country he loves and President Obama does not) in the Vietnam War. As we know he was able to deflect many of these “threats” successfully and other young men and women were killed in his place, but I suppose he still feels “threatened” by them.

    • GinnyLee February 21st, 2015 at 7:25 pm

Like Obama and Bill Clinton? No service. In fact, major dodging by ol’ “Slick Willie”. But then, they were skilled at something else… uh, well, something.

      • bluejayray February 21st, 2015 at 7:52 pm

Obama wasn’t subject to the draft. And Clinton really WAS skilled at something else. Cheney, Giuliani,Bush and his Champagne squadron (thanks dad!)–not so much. In fact, all of the chicken hawks of the era pretty much were draft dodgers. Jeb Bush is already recruiting the same old crew to advise him on foreign affairs. And then there’s McCain. His service record is something else. He’s the LAST person we need anywhere near the Presidency.

        • booker25 February 22nd, 2015 at 8:00 am

President Obama was a child during the Viet Nam war. Doesn’t anyone remember how old he is??? Cheney 5 deferments, Rudy 6!!! Romney just dodge the draft by going to France.

          • William February 22nd, 2015 at 3:12 pm

            He was 8

          • GinnyLee February 22nd, 2015 at 5:59 pm

Cheney did receive 5 student deferments, hardly unusual considering the
“hero” of the Democrats, Senator John F. Kerry, received 4, before
            enlisting in the Naval Reserves.

Cheney was born in 1941 and when
he turned 18, in 1959, mostly older men were being drafted at that time
and very few. As he turned older, his student deferments were legally
obtained and once married and his wife pregnant, he received a 3-A
(hardship) exemption. In 1967, he turned 26 and was no longer eligible
            for the draft.

            No Draft dodging there.

          • Gidawdah February 22nd, 2015 at 6:07 pm

So now Ginny Lane defends Richard Bruce Cheney.
            No surprise here.

Get ready, Ginny, you will have to defend an entire aerie of them.
Trust me, you really do not want to go down this road.

          • whatthe46 February 22nd, 2015 at 6:37 pm

your cheney never did join the service ever, but that’s ok and it’s ok to b’tch about Obama and Clinton. yet, cheney has a criminal record for 2 DWI’s. President Obama -0- criminal record.

          • booker25 February 22nd, 2015 at 7:45 pm

Need I remind you Kerry served in Vietnam? Cheney got his five on bullshit reasons, BTW, my husband served two tours in Vietnam

      • Jake February 21st, 2015 at 8:45 pm

Obama and Clinton – what were they good for except doubling and tripling the DJIA respectively.

      • Gidawdah February 21st, 2015 at 8:48 pm

Ginny, you might want to get your facts straight before you place both feet in your mouth……

        Clinton’s Draft Deferrment

In the autumn of 1969, Clinton entered the draft but received a high number (311) and was never called to serve — however, Clinton made every effort to avoid the draft prior to entering it.

First, Bill Clinton received education deferments while at Georgetown and Oxford (where he helped organize demonstrations against the war). Second, Clinton attempted to avoid the draft for four years by enrolling, but never joining, the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Clinton had enrolled in the ROTC hoping to avoid military service for four years, but, wanting a future in politics, had a change of heart and entered the draft.

In December 1969, safe from the draft with his high lottery number, Clinton changed his mind about joining the ROTC program and wrote a letter to the director of the ROTC program thanking him “for saving me from the draft” and regretted misleading him by not revealing the extent of his opposition to the war. The letter was leaked by the Pentagon to ABC news early in the 1992 fueled criticism of candidate Clinton’s character.

Later in the 1992 campaign, it became known that Clinton’s uncle had attempted to get Bill Clinton a Navy Reserve assignment during the Vietnam war. Clinton said he didn’t know anything about it to the press on September 3, 1992 but a day later admitted that a former draft board member had informed him of his uncles’ attempt several months before.

            More name calling, huh?
Is that all you have left, Ginny?
            Juvenile sophomoric name calling?
Clinton DID avoid the draft. As I stated clearly and definitvely.
            What is “moronic” about this?

The Christians I know discuss issues, and refrain from grad school name calling.
Please go back to the Breitbart sewer, or WND and play with your ilk.

          • Gidawdah February 22nd, 2015 at 7:42 pm

Oh, one more distinction between Bill Clinton (whom I did NOT vote for- twice)……and the aerie of chickenhawks.
Clinton was OPPOSED to the ‘Nam war.

The 101st Chairborne Division, on the other hand, including fellas like Buchanan, Giuliani, Rove, Bolton and Cheney, et al (there are many of them) were FOR the ‘Nam war- they just werent going to go fight themselves, ya see.
            So was Mitt Romney.
PRO-WAR and eligible- just not them doing the fighting.
Facts can be uncomfortable when they collapse ideologcally- held stiff views.

      • William February 22nd, 2015 at 2:09 am

        Darn draft dodger

      • majii February 22nd, 2015 at 4:47 am

President Obama was a little kid during the Vietnam War, but then, you far righters see nothing wrong with arming our kids and sending them off to fight, die, and get maimed in foreign hell holes, do you? As for Clinton, yes, he was old enough to go to Vietnam, just like Cheney and Giuliani who received multiple deferments. Clinton received two deferments to their five.

        • GinnyLee February 22nd, 2015 at 5:45 pm

Clinton/”Bubba” left the country, all together. But, again, who’s talking about VN service? The fact is, BO has NO service, at all – in any ensuing wars, or for no wars. Your ‘kids talk’ is just too asinine to respond to. You do know that we’ve had an all-voluntary military for more than 40 years, don’t you? Then, your buddy Rangel is pushing for the draft, so you “far lefties” can whine about him.
Or, your pres’ who said, “There was that sense of sacred obligation that, frankly, we have lost during these last two wars,” Obama said. “I want to restore that.”
“Obama went on to make his most direct statement of the campaign about expanding military service, declaring: “But it’s also important that a president speaks to military service as an obligation not just of some, but of many. You know, I traveled, obviously, a lot over the last 19 months. And if you go to small towns, throughout the Midwest or the Southwest or the South, every town has tons of young people who are serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. That’s not always the case in other parts of the country, in more urban centers. And I think it’s important
for the president to say, this is an important obligation. If we are
going into war, then all of us go, not just some.”

      • Bunya February 22nd, 2015 at 2:55 pm

The reason Obama didn’t serve in Viet Nam is because, when he wasn’t studying for a geography quiz and participating in little league, he was way too busy acting as lookout for Bill Ayers and the Weather Underground. There’s also speculation that Obama was the rifle-wielding shadowy figure in the grassy knoll.

        • GinnyLee February 22nd, 2015 at 5:09 pm

That’s funny. I can visualize him slinking around on “the knoll”, but not with a rifle. Oh, he didn’t serve anytime, anywhere, which is the point.

      • whatthe46 February 22nd, 2015 at 3:29 pm

you do realize that president Obama was only 14 when the vietnam war ended in 1975 don’t you?

        • GinnyLee February 22nd, 2015 at 5:06 pm

??? Who’s talking about VN? The topic is “service” – and BO had none – like Clinton. No. I have no idea how old he was in 75. Who cares?

          • whatthe46 February 22nd, 2015 at 6:23 pm

well, i’m telling you. aside from that, there have been other presidents that have not served in the military as well since you wanna harp on president Obama and Clinton.

          • Gidawdah February 22nd, 2015 at 6:48 pm

Males (note that I did not say MEN, or healthy mature men) , but males of O’Reilly’s ilk, when it comes to the topic of the horrific realities of war, suffer from what I call the Hollywood Storefront False Juvenile John Wayne- Rambo Syndrome.

Somehwere inside of them, they actually WISH that they were in a war or a combat zone, as, IN THEIR OWN IMAGINATIONS, that would bolster their “manly man, testosterone, tough guy” false Hollywood phony male-tough image of themselves, even furthering it. And as they know they havent been in a war, they feel somehow weak inside, or less than…… hence the false bravado. So they lie about being in a war, or embellish some experience, or stay silent about not having been there themselves.

Now here is where the real damage occurs: they cheerlead for war, they talk tough about war, they love flag waving and talking tough about bombing, fighting, etc. As it makes them sound tough to themselves….. and more damage: some of their juvenile audience loves the tough talk. Mainly unitiatied immature males themselves. Talk hate radio is filled with this bravado talk every week.

            And then they vote…..
Just witnees some of the comments made by rw males on this forum. It’s there.

The O’Reilly’s of the world are appealing to them.
Many think war is a sporting event, a boxing match or a Call Of Duty video game.

Trust me, NO ONE – NO ONE (sans a few sociopaths and psychpaths) who have been in a horrific war would ever wish to go back into one, for the sake of “greater manliness”, or wish anyone else had to experience “the grinder”.

So for me, this entire O’Reilly affair sheds light upon a much larger issue. Immature “maleness”.
And O’Reilly’s ilk, by default, are abjectly and vilely disrespecting REAL war correspondents and combat veterans alike, with lies and antics like this. /

Every correspondent and combat veteran is scarred for life. Period. It is hard enough to cope, without the rampant loud-mouthed chickenhawkism* that creates a false impression of what the horrors of war really are.
            ——–
            * I use this term deliberately, not as a callous throw-away smear pejorative, but in the sense that Ret. USMC Marine Corps Gen. Anthony Zinni ( a ‘Nam combat veteran, and the Gen. who retired rather than plan the invasion of Iraq) used it when I heard him speak. “There are those among us who love to send others to war, and cheerlead for war (hawks), but avoid actually doing the fighting themselves like the plague (chickens). An apt term I think….”
