[su_right_ad]Rudy Giuliani has rightly gotten heaps of scorn for his idiotic comments last week at the dinner for Governor Walker.  But this managed to overshadow some of Walker’s own comments:

Noteworthy, Walker argued that when Reagan fired the PATCO air-traffic controllers over their illegal strike, he was sending a message of toughness to Democrats and unions at home as well as our Soviet enemies abroad. Similarly, Walker believes his stance against unions in Wisconsin would be a signal of toughness to Islamic jihadists and Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

Hard to know what is worse about this statement, comparing unions to Putin and ISIS, or thinking that either Putin or ISIS would think twice because Walker disempowered public sector unions.

Government union worker baggage is killing the private sector workers. Government workers have 0 in common independent labor.

Wha~~~? Of course President Obama believes in evolution. There was never any question about it. He never indicated otherwise. Only rock-ribbed die-hard uneducated fundamentalist conservatives don’t believe in evolution.

As a matter of fact, President Obama said that his views on equal marriage have “evolved” over time. An opponent of the theory of evolution would not have used the word.

I wonder why you even bring this up. Are you just trolling? Are you drunk? Are you insane?

Judging from some of your previous posts, I’m seriously beginning to doubt your sanity. You may want to get some professional help.

When you lose your body your mind will still exist. You won’t have eyes or ears. You won’t have breath or pain. No communication or mobility. You will exist without any idea what is going on. Its almost claustrophobic, but with out breath its bearable.
I’m telling you that this will happen and it will happen to everyone. Accept it. Its the good news in wolfs clothing..

      • Spirit of America February 23rd, 2015 at 1:54 pm

“As a matter of fact, President Obama said that his views on equal
marriage have “evolved” over time. An opponent of the theory of
evolution would not have used the word.”

        LOL(x5)

You mean, honestly, that people who do not believe in evolution, the theory of, never use the word evolution in other topics???!!!!

So people who say the Ford Mustang has evolved since the ’60’s also have to believe in the theory of evolution, just because they used the word evolution?

So anybody who uses the word alien believes we are being visited by aliens? Or only people who believe in a god use the words ‘god dammit'(sp)?

But as an aside, do not forget he says he is a christian, and many people here say that those who believe in a god are stupid, backwards, believing in fairy tales and unicorns, not in their right mind, etc… so if the pres is a christian, wouldn’t it be 50/50 he does or doesn’t believe in evolution? I’ve never heard him asked if he does or doesn’t, nor heard him talk about it, have you?

        • jasperjava February 23rd, 2015 at 4:36 pm

If President Obama didn’t believe in evolution, he would be a Republican. An anti-science person who believes in other discredited theories like trickle-down supply side economics.

Nobody who has President Obama’s education and intellect can possibly be a creationist.

          • Spirit of America February 23rd, 2015 at 4:59 pm

Be honest, did you ever hear him say if he did or not? He believes in what many here consider fairy tales, he may well believe in creationism.

And if you are going on your sentence ‘he would be a republican’, you may very well be wrong. According to pew in 2008, 38% of democrats

believe humans created as-is 10,000 years ago.

I have a feeling you never heard him say either way and it is just a hope.

          • jasperjava February 23rd, 2015 at 6:39 pm

President Obama has shown every indication that he believes in science. To even intimate that he might be a creationist is ludicrous. You might as well suspect him of being a Klansman.

          • Spirit of America February 23rd, 2015 at 7:56 pm

It is a single topic… there are plenty of people who ‘believe’ in science but believe in creationism, or other singular topics that go against science’s belief on that topic.

So your answer is No, you have never heard him say one way or the other, you are just assuming.

          • jasperjava February 23rd, 2015 at 9:34 pm

A reasonable assumption, based on what we know of him.

I’ve never heard him say anything against putting shards of glass into one’s eyes, but I’m reasonably sure he’s not in favor of that, either.

You can’t seriously entertain the thought that President Obama is an ignorant Bible-thumping fundamentalist creationist yahoo. That would be so completely outside his character.

You’re just trolling, at this point.

President Obama never said that he doesn’t believe that lizard-men from outer space carved the Grand Canyon, either. Does that mean that he believes this?

          • Spirit of America February 23rd, 2015 at 9:45 pm

            “A reasonable assumption”
Exactly, it is an assumption. Did you however take into account the pres saying:

“Obama: I’m trying to remember if we’ve had this conversation. You know,
what I’ve said to them is that I believe that God created the universe
and that the six days in the Bible may not be six days as we understand
it, it may not be 24-hour days, and that’s what I believe. I know
there’s always a debate between those who read the Bible literally and
those who don’t, and that I think it’s a legitimate debate within the
Christian community of which I’m a part. My belief is that the story
that the Bible tells about God creating this magnificent Earth on which
we live — that is essentially true, that is fundamentally true.”

            His words.

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 12:27 am

President Barack Hussein Obama is one of the most eminently reasonable people in public life today.

Reasonable people do not reject evolutionary science. Reasonable people do not confuse myth with facts. Reasonable people do not subscribe to creationism.

Reasonable politicians, however, know how to pander to the lowest common denominator every so often.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 1:20 am

LOL, so he is either a liar(he is quite clear in stating he believes it) or he is… unreasonable?

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 2:30 am

He is a politician. One of the most intelligent, thoughtful, reasonable politicians of our time.

Part of his political skill is knowing that you have to sometimes use rhetoric that is expected to appease religious folks.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 3:52 am

There is no rhetoric involved. He says he believes in something, flat and simple.

He attended the same christian church for 20+ years(that isn’t rhetoric)… got married in a christian church(that isn’t rhetoric), he had his kids baptized(that isn’t rhetoric)… he explicitly restates his position on a god creating the universe..he is either lying or unreasonable, according to your own words.
You can tap dance all you want, doesn’t change the facts.

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 8:48 am

You’re saying that it’s impossible to be a reasonable Christian? Millions of Christians understand evolutionary science. Not all Christians are Bible-thumping cultists. Even the last three Popes have affirmed that Evolution isn’t incompatible with Christianity.

            You’re just blowing air.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 10:07 am

“You’re saying that it’s impossible to be a reasonable Christian?”
Noooo, you are saying it, read your above posts.

            YOUR words:
“Reasonable people do not subscribe to creationism.”

In HIS own words, he believes in creationism.

You are soooo twisting in the wind… you can not come to grips with calling someone you adore “One of the most intelligent, thoughtful, reasonable politicians of our time.” and yet have them subscribe, by their own words, to what you consider myth/fairy tales & calling others that believe in the same thing Yahoos.

Try as you may, you’ll never be able to, either.

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 11:09 am

You can’t differentiate between Creationism, and the mainstream Christian belief in God as Creator?

I don’t think you’re educated enough to hold your own in this debate. Toi bad for you.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 12:17 pm

1st, read above post, then educate yourself a bit.
2nd, I notice you aren’t addressing the fact that the pres himself said he believed in creation and that he believes in god and squaring that with you adore someone that meets your definition of being a yahoo, a believer in fairy tales, etc.

            Again, your words, not mine:
“Reasonable people do not confuse myth with facts. Reasonable people do not subscribe to creationism.”
            His words:
“My belief is that the story that the Bible tells about God creating this
magnificent Earth on which we live — that is essentially true, that is
            fundamentally true.”

As a side note, I believe it was a liberal on this very board that stated ‘right-wingers have to resort to belittling or insulting’ when discussing something instead of just using facts…(paraphrasing from memory)
Just bringing it up for thought… 🙂

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 2:51 pm

You’re an idiot if you think believing in creation is the same as believing in Creationism.

If you don’t understand that basic difference, there’s not much anybody can do to help you. I pity your ignorance.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 8:11 pm

“Creationism is the belief that the Universe and Life originate “from specific acts of divine creation.”

I guess I’m not the only ‘idiot’, since that is the core to very definition of it.

            🙂

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 11:14 am

You don’t have to believe in Creationism to be a Christian. Only the extreme inbred right-wing fundamentalists think that way.

Too bad you’re so ignorant and narrow-minded.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 12:06 pm

            LOL!!!!!! Keep spinning….
            Actually, let me help you:
            Definition of Creationism –
creationism is the belief that the universe was created by a deity of some sort

So yes, if one is a christian, one must be a creationist. Period.

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 2:57 pm

If you start with bogus definitions, you will end up with bogus conclusions.

You’re either trolling, or you’re incredibly ignorant.

Millions of Christians, including the Pope, do not believe in a literal reading of Genesis. You have decided that a small percentage if Christians, radical fundamentalists, are “true” Christians, while the vast majority are not true Christians. Including the Pope.

That’s a despicable point of view.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 8:07 pm

So let me get this straight… people who believe in a god believe in a myth, yet you use to ‘back up’ your spinning people who believe in myths, mainly the Popes…?
            🙂

The definition is correct and you know it. What you are now bringing into the argument are the different strains of that belief. Some creationists believe in a literal 24 hours per day explanation, some don’t. Some believe in evolution as part of creation, some don’t. But all are creationists.

“You have decided that a small percentage of Christians, radical
fundamentalists, are “true” Christians, while the vast majority are not
            true Christians.”
You completely made that up, I never said that. Until you show me where I even mentioned that, I’ll consider you are now lying to avoid the question.

The Pres believes in a god created the universe(his words). You believe that just the god part is a myth, a fairy tale.

Does the pres believe in myths(being unreasonable) or as you tried earlier to write it off, is he just lying?

If you don’t have the ability to make an honest answer, let’s just end it here. It’ll save you having to type insults for your ‘arguments’ instead of actually conducting a real discussion.

You said that “if one is a christian, one must be a creationist. Period.”

That’s a filthy lie, and an insult to millions of rational Christians who accept the theory of evolution.

In your ignorance, you call anyone who believes in creation a “creationist”. That just goes to show how dishonest you are. That’s like calling anyone who believes in a republican form of government a Republican.

You have shown no evidence that President Obama believes in the literal fundamentalist 7-day creation, or that he rejects evolutionary science. The burden of proof was on you, but you failed miserably. You’re just displaying your usual racist contempt of the President.

          • Spirit of America February 24th, 2015 at 11:24 pm

“That’s a filthy lie, and an insult to millions of rational Christians who accept the theory of evolution.”

They are not exclusionary, at all. That’s why I implore you to truly read up on what creationism(all strains) is about.

“You’re just displaying your usual racist contempt of the President.”
LOL LOL, gotta fall back to that stuff, eh? BTW, what color am I? Oh that’s right, you don’t know. Why do you have to use insults when in a discussion? Especially making up stuff out of thin air? Or do you subscribe that anyone who disagrees w/the pres, that makes them racist?
Then you are racist as well my friend, for you disagree with him on whether there is a god or not… 🙂

I am glad to see you’ve toned down your christianphobia from people who believe in a god from they have to be yahoo and myth believers to they can also be rational, it is a start 🙂

          • jasperjava February 24th, 2015 at 11:37 pm

I happen to be a Roman Catholic, but you assume I hate Christians. You assume I don’t believe in God.

Well, pal, I’ll have you know that not all Christians are inbred right-wing morons who believe that the universe was created in seven days, six thousand years ago.

You have contempt for Christians, by labelling them as creationists.

I don’t expect much from ignorant right-wing conservatIves, but your insistence that Christians are all ignorant is a new insult from the Right.

          • Spirit of America February 25th, 2015 at 12:00 am

In your last 3 paragraphs, you didn’t get a single thing correct. As for the first, well…

You did it, they voted you in.
            You are now
            oltwp(3)

          • jasperjava February 25th, 2015 at 12:21 am

So if my second paragraph is incorrect, you DO believe that all Christians are inbred right-wing morons who believe that the universe was created in seven days, six thousand years ago.

I have no idea what oltwp(3) is. Must be some right-wing code for the usual racist, xenophobic, sexist, homophobic religious bigotry.

          • Spirit of America February 25th, 2015 at 12:30 am

            Have a nice night!

          • jasperjava February 25th, 2015 at 1:13 am

I feel no compulsion to be civil to ignorant right-wing bigots.

Conservatives have lost all rights to expect civility from decent people. Their ideology is based on ignorance, hate, greed, selfishness, fear, and lies.

“argued that when Reagan fired the PATCO air-traffic controllers over their illegal strike, he was sending a message of toughness to Democrats and unions at home as well as our Soviet enemies abroad”

It’s downright disgraceful that a person who aspires to the highest office doesn’t have the slightest grasp of U S History, President Reagan or the former Soviet Union. Clearly this dropout didn’t do his homework. He just regurgitates whatever bagger-bumper stickers his handlers feed into his hard drive. I wonder if he even knows President Reagan was a screen actors Union boss.
