[su_right_ad]So, does Roy Moore believe that two people who can’t reproduced for whatever reason should also be denied the right to marry?

…Moore displayed his breathtaking ignorance about sexual identities and orientations in an interview with the Associated Press this week…

“When two bisexuals or two transgendered marry, how large is that family?,” he posited. “Can they marry two persons, one of the same sex and one of the opposite sex? Then, you’ve got a family of four or how many?”

Justice Moore conceded to the AP that if the Supreme Court rules this term that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry in the U.S., then he and his state must submit to federal law.

“The ruling of the Supreme Court would bind the state courts. That’s the law. That doesn’t make the Supreme Court right in making such a decision,” he said.

Another one that failed the Mensa test.

Well, that’s a big tent, so I can’t blame him there.

I’m beginning to believe he failed that one too.

          Its not an easy test…

so he fails at math AND human empathy

    • Budda February 25th, 2015 at 11:10 am

He fails at just about everything

    • Mike February 25th, 2015 at 11:38 am

He fails at that which he should be an expert…the law. He contends two married people could then marry again…??? That’s called bigamy, and it is outlawed in all 50 states and territories.

      • Carla Akins February 25th, 2015 at 12:29 pm

Thank you, or they’re divorcing and remarrying which would make it the American way of life as best I can tell.

        • Mike February 25th, 2015 at 2:25 pm

I recently had that very discussion about the “Average American” family today and it turned out to be married couples were the minority. Single/divorced mothers and those living with a significant other were more than 55%.

          • bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 5:06 pm

The latest stats I saw also showed that over 50% of straight marriages end in divorce. It will be interesting to see how gay marriages fare. A lot of the gay couples who have finally been able to get legally married have been together for decades already.

          • anothertoothpick February 25th, 2015 at 5:22 pm

If they really want to punish gay marriage they might consider legislation to ban gay divorce.

          • bluejayray February 26th, 2015 at 10:16 am

And in that same vein, if they want to “save” straight marriage, they should ban straight divorces. Gay marriage has no effect on straight marriage.

          • anothertoothpick February 26th, 2015 at 10:30 am

Yeah! But it sure does make a GREAT fund raiser

          • whatthe46 February 25th, 2015 at 5:48 pm

my former mother-in-law and her partner, for 3 decades. they finally got married. they are both in their 80’s.

          • Mike February 25th, 2015 at 6:20 pm

I read data that puts them at about the same level. However, the study was using both married gays and those engaged in highly committed “marriage-like” unions. I’m not sure that is a true comparison. Here’s a link:

            Hey thanks!

    • bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 5:04 pm

I caught that too. How is 2 equal to 4? And what it the gay couples ALREADY have children? How big are THOSE families?…and what if they adopt?

  3. tiredoftea February 25th, 2015 at 11:18 am

A shining example of how compassionate christians let others alone to live their lives.

  4. rg9rts February 25th, 2015 at 12:10 pm

Does he want to get in on the action???

    • whatthe46 February 25th, 2015 at 1:13 pm

it is all they talk about. you never know.

They get their jollies putting their noses into bedrooms and crotches…you may be right

  5. Guy Lauten February 25th, 2015 at 12:59 pm

“That doesn’t make the Supreme Court right in making such a decision,” he said.
Uh oh Roy, there’s that Sears Law Degree showing itself again. Even if it doesn’t (which – by definition – it does) “make it right”, you and your “my way or the highway” version of jurisprudence will ALWAYS be wrong. Time to gear up for your next removal.

    • bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 5:01 pm

If he’s elected, he may not have to have any legal qualifications at all–just a dusty buybull.

“Can they marry two persons, one of the same sex and one of the opposite sex? Then, you’ve got a family of four or how many?”

LOL! This is truly a republican slippery slope. For example, what if two people have pet dogs and the dogs “do it” outside the sanctity of marriage? Are their puppies bastards? If so, is one of the owners obligated to marry the female in order to make the puppies “legitimate”?
What the hell is wrong with these people?

    • bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 5:00 pm

And how does he get 2 to equal 4?

  7. fahvel February 25th, 2015 at 1:58 pm

if I didn’t have a keyboard in front of me, I regurgitate every time one of these ignorant hate filled scum express an idea or pass gas (gas at least has a reason)

Alabama Chief Justice: If ‘Two Bisexuals Or Two Transgendered Marry, How Large Is That Family?’

Answer: About as large as your IQ.

    • bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 4:59 pm

      Larger. There’s two of them.

  9. oldfart February 25th, 2015 at 2:04 pm

his admission that if SCROTUS rules for gay marriage,
he’ll begrudgingly have to allow it.
translation, don’t blame me, THEY made me do it.
further translation, re-elect me and god bless the USA.

  10. Dwendt44 February 25th, 2015 at 2:05 pm

If two senior citizens marry how many is that? Lesbians, if still young, can both have kids. IF they chose to do so.

  11. bluejayray February 25th, 2015 at 4:58 pm

If a straight couple get married and choose not to breed, how big is THAT family?
The answer to both questions is either “who cares” or “none of your business”.

  12. Suzanne McFly February 25th, 2015 at 5:10 pm

Is this judge really asking us what one plus one is? That is his argument? If a democrat used this type of argument, I believe even cruz could correctly defend the case.

If two cousins marry in Alabama what are the odds one of ’em will give birth to a chief justice?

  14. labman57 February 25th, 2015 at 8:43 pm

More importantly, how many clueless Bible-thumping southerners does it take to screw in the missing light bulb above Moore’s head?

Too dumb to do simple math but smart enough to obstruct.

I was going to post a smart a$$ remark but I can’t top these.
