[su_right_ad]Two weeks ago he said, “I’m afraid Putin will kill me.”

Nemtsov was an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin and a career politician, he worked to foster a healthy relationship between Russia and Ukraine for much of his career. “I’m afraid Putin will kill me,” Nemtsov told an independent Belarusian television channel two weeks ago.

Nemtsov was shot at least four times and police are investigating his death, according to the Moscow Interior Ministry.

A white vehicle approached Nemtsov and several shots rang out before the car drove away. The suspect or suspects are not known at this time and their descriptions have not been given by authorities. According to Garry Kasparov, the Chairman of the Human Rights Foundation, Nemtsov’s killers shot him four times, “once for each child he leaves.”

Another Putin critic was found dead in November.

Nemtsov was shot at least four times and police are investigating his death, how ever suicide has not been ruled out.

    • mea_mark February 27th, 2015 at 6:30 pm

Well we know for sure, without a doubt, that this couldn’t possibly be an assassination ordered by Putin. s

      • edmeyer_able February 27th, 2015 at 6:34 pm

And the teaparty sings praises to him.

        • jasperjava February 27th, 2015 at 6:58 pm

Of course. A “real leader” isn’t afraid to use violence. That’s what they seem to be saying. Annex neighboring territories, supply arms to separatist goons, shoot civilian airliners out of the sky, that’s all okay, as long as he’s white.

But when a Black President fights to provide healthcare to those who need it, that’s tyranny.

          • Hirightnow February 27th, 2015 at 9:32 pm

He’s too weak on foreign policy, even when he goes too far and threatens our relations with other countries, who see America as too domineering, thanks to his policies, which are obviously putting the US in a subservient position, especially with the Muslims, who he is working with, drawing upon the experience gained from his relationship with his marxist fascist socialist father, who abandoned him and left him to be raised by his mother, who wasn’t a good father figure.

          • John Tarter February 28th, 2015 at 1:05 am

Yes, taking other people’s money without their consent to provide healthcare to others is tyranny at the highest level.

          • jasperjava February 28th, 2015 at 6:46 am

Now you’re just defending your dreamboat manly-man would-be boyfriend Vlad.

Assassinating the opposition isn’t tyranny! Leave Vlad aloooooone!

The true tyranny is raising taxes to provide government services, something that governments have done since the dawn of civilization. But then it doesn’t surprise me that you want to return to a state of savagery.

          • John Tarter February 28th, 2015 at 8:47 am

Raising taxes among the citizenry for the enumerated duties of the Federal government is legitimate and using monies for everything else that is not specifically spelled out for the Federal government to do is not. I keep reading my Constitution and the listing for individual healthcare just isn’t there

          • OldLefty February 28th, 2015 at 9:32 am

That is EXACTLY what the ACA does. (It falls under general welfare AND the commerce clause).

Plus it is nor really a tax, as if it works well there will BE no penalties.

          • Scopedog February 28th, 2015 at 11:02 am

“I keep reading my Constitution and the listing for individual healthcare just isn’t there.” I think you’re reading the wrong Constitution….but no surprise there.

” I keep reading my Constitution and the listing for individual healthcare just isn’t there”

Stay stupid, you seem to enjoy it.

That’s what WE always said about corporate welfare disguised as “defense”.

            So what??

          • edmeyer_able March 1st, 2015 at 11:27 am

But giving it to corporations that pollute air and water is ok?
You’re paying for their care by not forcing them to buy insurance, but you’ve been told you aren’t by your party and you believe them.

        • arc99 February 27th, 2015 at 7:21 pm

Actually this murder could easily be turned into the latest right wing grifting scheme. Given the hysteria of the past 6 years, is it really such a stretch to envision the following appearing on some Obama-hater website

          =============================

          “Dear Patriot,

By now you have probably heard of the murder in Russia of a man who allegedly was a critic of the proud Christian leader, Vladimir Putin.

Our website has heard from reliable sources that this murder was carried out by operatives of the Muslim Brotherhood under orders issued from the White House. It is part of the neverending assault on Christianity being perpetrated by the usurper in Washington DC, designed to smear Mr. Putin and all Christians as evil, perpetrators of violence.

At this point, we do not have sufficient evidence to bring this to the authorities, and this is where you can help.

We need your support to retain the investigative talent required to fully reveal this despicable conspiracy between the lawless President and his radical jihadi sycophants.

Please contribute whatever we can so that once and for all we can expose this community organizer and remove him from office. We take VISA, Mastercard and Paypal. Thank you””

          =============================

There is a sucker born every minute. I just can’t shake the suspicion that every single one of them watches FOX.

          • mea_mark February 27th, 2015 at 7:22 pm

You really shouldn’t be giving them ideas like that.

          • edmeyer_able February 27th, 2015 at 7:37 pm

I think you should start writing screen play thingys.

I’m copying your post in order to compare it to future emails I may receive…

    • mea_mark February 27th, 2015 at 7:45 pm

Putin is now saying he will personally oversee investigation … of course he will, without a doubt … the outcome is already pre-determined.

  2. arc99 February 27th, 2015 at 6:43 pm

    What say you now, Putin-worshipers.

    Oh, it’s Obama’s fault?

    Thought so…

    http://mediamatters.org/blog/2014/02/12/foxs-ben-carson-putin-is-right-for-calling-amer/198028

Fox News contributor Ben Carson joined the growing list of American conservatives praising Vladimir Putin’s Russia for its ultraconservative social policies, asserting that Russia is “gaining prestige and influence throughout the world” thanks to Putin’s hardline brand of Orthodox Christianity.

  3. nola878 February 27th, 2015 at 7:18 pm

Now THAT”S a despot! Why, oh why can’t we have a REAL leader like that? Instead we’re stuck with a dude that wears a bicycle helmet! 🙁

    • William February 28th, 2015 at 11:12 am

“Instead we’re stuck with a dude that wears a bicycle helmet! :(”
Un no he’s actually painting things right now and laying low, but I completely see your point. What a dork eh?

The suspect or suspects are not known at this time and their descriptions have not been given by authorities.
I have a description of a “person of interest” in this murder investigation…
Short balding white male, 50ish, thin nose and lips, pasty complexion, may go by the name of Vlad..

But….But….Obama sent Hillary to push the reset button. Maybe they should try a hashtag campaign?

“I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straight forward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue”.

“I was able to get a sense of his soul.

“He’s a man deeply committed to his country and the best interests of
his country and I appreciate very much the frank dialogue and that’s the
beginning of a very constructive relationship,” Mr Bush said.

      • nola878 February 28th, 2015 at 2:04 am

        Nope. No blame, OK?

But please explain to me why certain people believe Putin, who follows no law is a better choice than our legitimately elected president…

      • OldLefty February 28th, 2015 at 9:28 am

Six years in and you are still blaming Bush?
        ___________

80 years and we are STILL blaming the Nazis.

While,20 years and YOU guys are STILL blaming Clinton.

      • arc99 February 28th, 2015 at 10:43 am

right wingers were wetting themselves over Vladimir Putin and as usual none of you have the guts or the integrity to admit that your fawning admiration was at best misplaced.

It is not about blaming Bush. it is about pointing out the sick hatred of the President of the United States which led you into a fantasy world where Putin would be a better leader than Mr. Obama.

If I were a right winger, yeah I would want to change the subject too as you lamely try to do. But I am not and never will be a right winger. I could never muster the hypocrisy, dishonesty or stupidity required to believe the nonsense spewing from the American right.

      • William February 28th, 2015 at 11:10 am

Yes we are. An election doesn’t change history. Your boy George was at the helm when the country crashed. It’s a simple fact.
Instead of helping to refloat the boat, you right wing traitors get all gushy over a former KGB leader. Why do you hate your country so much?

      • jybarz February 28th, 2015 at 11:35 am

        WTF! Blaming what, Tart?
Stoney is not blaming Bush for anything here. But, since you open up about blaming Bush, yes Bush caused a myriad of monumental disasters not only for America but a lot of other countries too. Which we fully understand why you conservatives want to forget and pretend they didn’t happen. You’re not too smart little Johnny Tart.

  6. Spirit of America February 27th, 2015 at 9:04 pm

In the last 4 months, 7 other such critic-driveby’s have happened. 2 arrests have been made in total. Neither has been officially identified, but the family of 1 suspect has video of him partying w/friends… not only during the time of the shooting, but hours prior and after… in a city around 150mi+/- away… ironically named vladimir… who also is a ‘dissident’..
    🙂

    • mea_mark February 27th, 2015 at 9:07 pm

Just curious, did you watch Putin’s way on frontline?

      • Spirit of America February 27th, 2015 at 10:22 pm

No I haven’t, I’ve read some of the transcript, mostly because nataliya gevorkyan was part of the project. I probably will get around to either reading it entirely or watchiing it entirely.
        Why do you ask?

  7. paul fredine February 27th, 2015 at 9:07 pm

putin: ‘i’ll be personally in charge of the investigation and i won’t stop until i have all the facts i need. now, move along. there’s nothing to see here. i said, move it, dammit. NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! i’m done. obama did it.’
