[su_right_ad]Just what we need: a foreign leader addressing the Republican congress to blast the Democratic president as the administration negotiates a sensitive nuclear deal.

On Tuesday morning, as Secretary of State John F. Kerry meets with his counterparts in Switzerland to try to complete a framework accord with Iran by the end of March, Netanyahu will stand at the lectern in Congress to tell Americans, essentially, that President Obama is either foolhardy or weak and about to sign a deal with the devil.

Netanyahu will warn, as he has in the past, that the Americans are gambling on a radical Iranian regime run by Muslim clerics who deny the Holocaust, sponsor terrorist groups, support a murderous regime in Syria and pledge to destroy Israel…

The prime minister’s press office released photographs of Netanyahu penning his speech in longhand.

73 responses to Netanyahu Poised To Tell Congress Obama Is ‘Foolhardy’, ‘Weak’

  1. arc99 March 1st, 2015 at 3:22 pm

The Muslim Brotherhood has now infiltrated the highest levels of the Israeli government and security forces.

    Damn you Obama..

    http://www.jpost.com/Israel-News/Former-Israeli-security-commanders-Netanyahu-speech-will-bring-Iran-closer-to-the-bomb-392565

A group of more than 180 former commanders in Israel’s security apparatus called Sunday for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel his speech to the US Congress scheduled for Tuesday.

Commanders for Israel’s Security, a group of former senior commanders from the IDF, Mossad, Shin Bet and Israel Police, held a press conference Sunday, in which they warned that Netanyahu’s security and diplomatic policies were destroying the alliance with the US, ruining Israel’s power of deterrence and serving to bring Iran closer to obtaining nuclear weapons.

I really hope it backfires big time. He’s way overdue for his comeuppance.

  2. raypc800 March 1st, 2015 at 3:43 pm

There is no logical reason for Bibi to be even invited to talk to Congress. The president should advise him. That his blatant disrespect will have an adverse effect upon aide of any kind to Israel.

All Democratic party members should not attend.

  4. Gina March 1st, 2015 at 4:50 pm

I’d love to see all 232 democrats stand up and leave in the middle of his speech. With a lot of noise.

    • whatthe46 March 2nd, 2015 at 1:22 am

      or not show up

      • Gina March 2nd, 2015 at 10:47 am

It is said if they don’t show up Republicans will fill the voids with their staff. I wanted to see them empty, and the act of leaving…

        • whatthe46 March 2nd, 2015 at 1:43 pm

          that’s even better.

          • Gina March 2nd, 2015 at 1:49 pm

            I think so too.

  5. Spirit of America March 1st, 2015 at 5:03 pm

I’ll wait for the speech to actually happen before I say what he ‘said’.

  6. jybarz March 1st, 2015 at 5:11 pm

It’s foolhardy for foreign leader to meddle with US politics and continue to expect bipartisan US support.
It’s also weak to continue to lie about Iran’s nuclear capability when his own intelligence people say it’s not true.
So, who really is foolhardy and weak?

  7. labman57 March 1st, 2015 at 5:33 pm

Perhaps Benji N. should ask Johnny M. to join him in a duet, singing their rendition of “Bomb, bomb, bomb Iran”.

  8. fancypants March 1st, 2015 at 6:41 pm

Obama should tell Netanyahu Its camp david or nothing ! he has no right to demand to speak to congress

  9. crc3 March 1st, 2015 at 8:09 pm

Netanyahu is a war monger. Hate him…

  10. Foundryman March 1st, 2015 at 8:34 pm

If netanyahu succeeds in starting a war with Iran, there should not be a single dollar or drop of American blood in aid sent to Israel.

  11. bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 12:57 am

Meanwhile, out of the other side of his mouth he’ll be begging for 300 million dollars worth of anti-missile missiles from us. I say screw him until he learns to play nice. Why do we send them money anyway if we’re so poor that we can’t take care of our own veterans.

    • John Tarter March 2nd, 2015 at 5:56 am

We can’t take care of our veterans because Obama is spending that money on taking care of illegal Mexicans.

      • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 6:29 am

We can’t take care of our veterans because the GOP believes in welfare for our corporate welfare queens.
They ARE the ones who spend and/or bring in the money, after all.

        • John Tarter March 2nd, 2015 at 6:44 am

I agree, all the corporate welfare should stop – including that which goes to Obama’s cronies.

          • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 7:01 am

            So get the money out.
That starts with changing the composition of the Court.

      • red-diaper-baby 1942 March 2nd, 2015 at 9:48 am

Mr. Tarter, I wish i could write you a “Dear John” letter. Unlike many rightwing websites, however, we don’t ban those who come here to spout nonsense. We will continue to tolerate you in the name of diversity of opinion.

      • bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm

Yeah right–and of course never mind that he’s deported more of them than his predecessors. Fact free and minty fresh.

  14. John Tarter March 2nd, 2015 at 5:54 am

Foolhardy and weak? Sorry Mr. Netanyahu we already know that. He’s they guy who drew a “red line” in Syria and then did nothing.

    • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 6:27 am

      “Foolhardy and wea”
      __________

      A little projection from Bibi.

After all, Obama is the guy who got Assad to get rid of his chemical weapons without firing a shot.

Oh well, the same ilk, who has also been wrong about EVERYTHING said the same thing about Eisenhower.

Unfortunately, Bibi has a personal stake in maintaining a threatening Iran.

      • John Tarter March 2nd, 2015 at 6:43 am

The reality is Obama drew a red line, Assad crossed it, and there was no military response. Once again Obama weakly acquiesced via negotiation. And don’t believe Assad turned over all his chemical weapons either.

        • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 7:00 am

          The reality is;
Declared Syrian chemical weapon stockpile now completely destroyed
          http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2014/08/18/declared-syrian-chemical-weapon-stockpile-now-completely-destroyed/

          http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-27974379

          Also, how about;

And of course, we can ALL believe what we want to believe given the track records over the last 40 years; I’ll go with Obama in a heartbeat.

          • Scopedog March 2nd, 2015 at 10:40 am

Shh! Don’t give the man hard facts!

          • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 2:29 pm

I’m a woman, with hard facts.

            Why would you assume?

          • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 12:35 pm

I thought Netanyahu was always wrong? Why do you believe he got THIS right???

          • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 2:19 pm

That is for the benefit of those who think Netanyahu is always right.

I rely on BBC, NYT, WaPo etc.

          • Spirit of America March 2nd, 2015 at 12:51 pm

The us believes assad still has chem weapons, w/the bulk majority being turned over/destroyed.

          • OldLefty March 2nd, 2015 at 2:20 pm

We can only go with the facts as we find them.

        • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 12:35 pm

There was no military response??? There was NO RESPONSE at all!

      • bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 11:03 am

I think they’re all in the arms business. That’s the only real growth industry in the area.

    • whatthe46 March 2nd, 2015 at 8:33 am

if i told you to go….

    • Scopedog March 2nd, 2015 at 10:40 am

Jesus–so making sure Syria gets rid of its chemical weapons without firing a f*@&ing shot is “weak”?

Please. Put down the bong and back away.

      • Spirit of America March 2nd, 2015 at 12:50 pm

Most of his chem weapons… the us believes that assad still has small caches left.

    • Gindy51 March 2nd, 2015 at 1:32 pm

He’s also a coward who has to sneak in the back door like a thief in the night to talk instead of going through proper channels. Imagine if any of our presidents in any age had done something so cowardly and been shunned by the head of any state in the world. he or she would be vilified back home and you know it.

  15. mrbigstuff March 2nd, 2015 at 8:02 am

Now we know why he was invited by bonehead,Anything to try to hurt Obama,Why do Repugs love Iran so much ?

    • whatthe46 March 2nd, 2015 at 8:32 am

      exactly.

    • bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 11:02 am

Bibi’s also here to con us out of another $300 million for their long dong missile defense systems… Israel is slapping us in the face while they pick our pocket. I’m sick of it.

      • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 12:31 pm

How much have we given the Palestinian Authority? Where are the roads, schools and hospitals our money was supposed to be spent on? Instead they use our money to dig tunnels to kill Jews. Who could be friends and neighbors with people who kill each other with impunity???

        • Bunya March 2nd, 2015 at 1:26 pm

Are you talking about the money we sent to Iraq to rebuild their country after we destroyed it? Maybe Bush can enlighten you with regard to your question. He’s the guy that willy-nilly threw money in that direction, not caring who received it or what they used it for.

          • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 1:34 pm

No I’m talking about the BILLIONS we have given the PALESTIAN AUTHORITY. You know the money we gave to help them build schools, hospitals and roads. Are ANY of the nations we give our hard earned money to, required to give an accounting of how they spend our money that we generously give them, including Israel???

          • Bunya March 2nd, 2015 at 1:46 pm

No. And that’s the problem. But to fault the democratic president, specifically, when the republicans have been throwing money away to other countries for years, is disingenuous at best.

    • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 12:29 pm

I think you should ask why Obama LOVES Iran and the radical muslim world so much, even Saudi Arabia is against the deal they are negotiating.

      • Bunya March 2nd, 2015 at 1:29 pm

Do you have any proof that Obama loves Iran and the radical Muslim world? I didn’t think so. As for Saudi Arabia, they’re in bed with the GOP, so they’re against ANY deal the democratic president proposes.

  16. bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 10:59 am

I wonder how Bibi would feel if President Obama went to Israel and dished on Bibi in front of their Knesset and any news outlet he could find?

    • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 12:28 pm

I wonder how we would feel if Israel were negotiating an arms deal in Cuba or in Latin America? Doesn’t the agreement Kerry/Obama are negotiating effect Israel in any way? How many times has Iran threatened to “wipe Israel off the face of the earth” How many Americans were killed or maimed by IED’S that were supplied by Iran? Shouldn’t Israel be in fear for their safety knowing what weak negotiators this administration has proven to be with other foreign affairs? Shouldn’t Israel be worried seeing how Obama favors the muslim world over every other? Shouldn’t we all be afraid knowing how Obama has fundamentally transformed America by way of Healthcare, Immigration and now the internet? If Obama does not care about the safety of this nation, why would he care about Israel?

      • Gindy51 March 2nd, 2015 at 1:30 pm

It’s none of Israels fucking business what we negotiate with anyone. If they don’t like it they can return every cent of aid they’ve gotten and go it alone. THEY need us we don’t need them. Get it dope?

        • Laura Flannery March 2nd, 2015 at 1:36 pm

Tsk, tsk, you are a typical mentally deranged liberal. You have the mentality of an ape, and that’s being generous.

          • Bunya March 2nd, 2015 at 1:50 pm

I think that if I were Gindy51, I would have rephrased that a little differently, but she has a point. The only reason Israel is flexing its muscles is because they have the support (and funding) from one of the most powerful countries in the world. If the US ever decided to “disown” Israel, they’d be in some serious trouble.

      • bluejayray March 2nd, 2015 at 1:50 pm

Believe it or not, America is NOT a State of Israel, nor do we owe them a living. They spy on us, stab us in the back and suck up at least a fifth of all the foreign aid we dole out–all of it going to military hardware to slaughter Palestinians. Israel is not our friend. And as for wiping people off the face of the earth, that is an art that Israel is perfecting. What is the acceptable amount of Palestinian eyes for each Israeli eye? 5000 to 1?

        • Laura Flannery March 3rd, 2015 at 1:52 pm

          10000

        • mea_mark March 2nd, 2015 at 12:47 pm

I edited out the link. Don’t like supporting right-wing sites by sending clicks their way. Especially when the credibility is questionable.

“Netanyahu’s Favorable Rating Improves in U.S.”
          http://www.gallup.com/poll/181778/netanyahu-favorable-rating-improves.aspx

“Breitbart acceptability” is a useful litmus test for credibility, as the site rarely stands up to scrutiny.
