[su_thin_right_skyscraper_ad]They were not tears of joy.

Pelosi said she was “saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States.” She was noticeably displeased with Netanyahu’s remarks during his speech.

Here is her statement:

The unbreakable bonds between the United States and Israel are rooted in our shared values, our common ideals and mutual interests. Ours is a deep and abiding friendship that will always reach beyond party. Americans stand shoulder to shoulder with the Israeli people. The state of Israel stands as the greatest political achievement of the 20th century, and the United States will always have an unshakable commitment to Israel’s security.

That is why, as one who values the U.S. – Israel relationship, and loves Israel, I was near tears throughout the Prime Minister’s speech – saddened by the insult to the intelligence of the United States as part of the P5 +1 nations, and saddened by the condescension toward our knowledge of the threat posed by Iran and our broader commitment to preventing nuclear proliferation.

Today, Prime Minister Netanyahu reiterated something we all agree upon: a nuclear armed Iran is unacceptable to both our countries. We have all said that a bad deal is worse than no deal, and stopping the spread of nuclear weapons is the bedrock of our foreign policy and national security. As President Obama has said consistently, all options are on the table for preventing a nuclear-armed Iran.

This stunt by the Right Wing and Netanyahu will cause damage for years to come.

    Hope they’re happy. Very shortsighted

What is it about the conservative brain that always — ALWAYS! — takes the sort-term gain and never anticipates the long-term consequence?

      • jybarz March 4th, 2015 at 3:43 am

        Nothing! They’re brainless.

    • rg9rts March 4th, 2015 at 6:13 am

      They don’t care

Making a laughingstock out of the USA, undermining foreign policy and damaging National security seems to be a high priority to Boehner. Number one goal is “got to get Obama”

  3. tiredoftea March 3rd, 2015 at 8:50 pm

    Her statement is brilliant!

The better the U.S. becomes under President Obama, the worse the GOP becomes. Instead of helping, the GOP is endlessly intent on destroying President Obama even if it also destroys the country. GOP is a cancer to USA.

    • Aunt Pee March 4th, 2015 at 3:15 am

That was their goal even before the President’s first inauguration.

Remember the gopee is the creature and lap dog of the Koch’s

Sorry Ms. Pelosi, but republicans believe that our nation should be lead by treasonous hate filled, unreasonable religious zealots willing to undermine our national security & foreign policy for the sole purpose of gaining power at any cost.
Right wing politicians deliberately infuriate ignorant rubes who don’t have a clue they’re being manipulated against their own interests.
The Taliban and ISIS operate exactly the same way.

yep, the western white xian world has all the bombs eh? how dare some upstart country which is only 5000+ years old want anything to do with being on a par with an imaginary country like isreal.

    • rg9rts March 4th, 2015 at 6:12 am

Israel already has their nukes…developed along with South Africa

  7. rg9rts March 4th, 2015 at 6:11 am

Do you think that she would have given a kissy face response to a question when she was Speaker??

  8. William March 4th, 2015 at 9:33 am

Please tell me again how it’s not actually about race, and just plain blind hatred for our Constitution, and duly elected President. When one considers the GOP set up a campaign stop for a foreign leader who takes billions from us in aid…and
leads a nation that won’t even join the coalition to fight Isis.

What about preventing a nuclear armed Israel? Oh wait, that’s right, the U.S. and the rest of civilized society has failed to keep nukes out of the hands of the Zionist barbarians. Barbarians who have proved time and time again that they are no better than the Khmer Rouge in killing anyone and everyone that they view as inferior. Including fellow Jews.

    • Ronald Woolever March 5th, 2015 at 10:14 am

One could almost say we assisted in Israel acquiring nukes

      • John_St_John March 7th, 2015 at 1:50 pm

One could and not be accused of Foxxing the truth.
