Former Ronald Reagan adviser Bruce Bartlett had more than a few choice words for the modern day Conservative party and none of them were good. DKos: Last week at CPAC potential Republican candidates were invoking President Ronald Reagan ad-nauseam. HERETIC! He must be shot on sight!!!

    Next thing you know, he’ll be claiming that Reagan didn’t tear down that wall all by himself!!!

    He’s certainly right there. But, Bruce was drummed out of the right wing quite some time ago when he outed the tea party in 2010.

    Bruce Bartlett also said that Obama was governing as a “moderate Republican”

    As tiredoftea pointed out, he published a piece in Forbes: The Misinformed Tea Party Movement
    http://www.forbes.com/2010/03/18/tea-party-ignorant-taxes-opinions-columnists-bruce-bartlett.html

    He ALSO said;
    “I think the vast bulk of Tea Party members are ignorant fools when it comes to understanding how government really operates. I have thought so for 2.5 years and see no reason to change my opinion.”

    And, Bruce Bartlett : “I still consider myself to be a conservative in the tradition of Edmund Burke, Russell Kirk and William F. Buckley. I don’t think most of today’s
    conservatives have any idea who those people were.”

    It’s a nice illustration of far off the rails the right has gone.
    They have become the John Birch Society while while accusing the left of becoming “far Left”.

    More projection.

      Jesus and his teachings don’t fit the GOP mold, so they simply created their own Jesus.
