[su_right_ad]He, of course, believes the president will leave as planned, but can’t discount a power grab from a lawless president.

“[W]hy do we assume Obama will step aside willingly from the presidency following an election in 2016?” Farah asks in a column [Friday]. “I’m not saying he won’t. I’m just asking why.”

Farah then goes on to cite evidence of Obama’s possible power grab, including that the president that “respects neither the law nor the American tradition of peaceful changes of power,” has said “he and his family might remain in Washington after leaving office,” and, of course, “the ever-present reality that Obama himself may not even be constitutionally eligible for office.”

They said that about Bush. And Clinton.

Remember GOP the John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2006, which allowed the President to declare a “public emergency” and station troops anywhere in
America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the
consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to “suppress public
    disorder.”

There were people who thought that Bush who respected neither the law nor the American tradition of peaceful changes of power would cancel the 2006 elections and then not leave office.

They just didn’t have the media megaphone.

    • rg9rts March 8th, 2015 at 8:00 am

And Roosevelt LOL Boy they still regret that one!!

      • OldLefty March 8th, 2015 at 8:06 am

Except it used to be just the fringe.
Now, they go mainstream and sell email lists.
        Great racket.

Why are cretins like this dolt given any coverage??

  5. Carla Akins March 8th, 2015 at 8:24 am

What’s with the weird bushy mustache thingy? Has that become the new display of individuality – if so, they screwed up, it looks like they are imitating the porn stars of the 70’s or trying to fit it with the millennials) Or too lazy to brush their teeth.

Good lord man, you’re over 40, hold a position of power and expect people to take you seriously. Shave, brush your teeth, dress like a professional adult and if you can’t ask an intelligent question – rub your chin, tilt your head and go “hmmm”.

    • jybarz March 8th, 2015 at 11:01 am

The mustache should be the same color as his hair. He is cheating.

      • dave-dr-gonzo March 8th, 2015 at 12:04 pm

Just don’t ask, “Does the rug match the curtains?” That would be waaaaay TMI.

    • dave-dr-gonzo March 8th, 2015 at 11:05 am

Talk about an epic pornstach. I understand his screen name back in the day was “Woody Studman”.

      • John_St_John March 8th, 2015 at 1:51 pm

You left off the Wannabe tag.

    • John_St_John March 8th, 2015 at 1:50 pm

Hey now, be nice to men who sport beards and mustaches. Not all of us strive to look like broken down street sweepers like Joe Farah. I take pride in my facial hair and I make sure it is clean, neat and fashionable looking.

      • Carla Akins March 8th, 2015 at 5:48 pm

Hey St John, you’re a good looking man hiding behind all that hair. It looks good pulled back. I’ve always had a thing for guys with long hair. – you still sporting that long hair..,,single….

        • Jack E Raynbeau March 8th, 2015 at 10:31 pm

I’m a friend of @john_st_john:disqus. He is taken. I, OTOH, am not. My hair grows fast but I’m not nearly as handsome. But, I’m really handy. I can fix anything but a broken heart.

You are adorable and that is very sweet.

Carla, you just charmed all the men on Liberaland.

          • bpollen March 10th, 2015 at 3:45 pm

Red Green is funnier than hell live, too!

        • John_St_John March 9th, 2015 at 11:27 pm

Ms. Carla thank you for the compliment. As my good friend Jack points out, I am married. 36 years and counting. As for the hair and beard, 7 years grayer and longer on the hair.

          • Carla Akins March 10th, 2015 at 9:51 am

Well she’s a lucky woman. As someone that uses my actual image (granted, I picked the best picture I could find) I am always thrilled to see the actual image behind the avatar.

      • bpollen March 8th, 2015 at 9:33 pm

Absolutely no offense intended, but when after the 19th century were mutton-chops fashionable?

        • John_St_John March 9th, 2015 at 11:23 pm

Hmm, I see men with chops quite often. Then again being a beard wearer I notice things like that. Same with tattoos.

          • bpollen March 10th, 2015 at 4:52 am

I see them, but never thought they were fashionable, per se. Always seemed more like biker chic, if there is such a thing.

Just to show where I am coming from (however weird it might be…) I think of goatees as Danish Porno Beards. But I do sport a beard (becoming more salt as we speak.) And keep my hair pulled back in a braid.

  6. KABoink_after_wingnut_hacker March 8th, 2015 at 8:51 am

Why do we assume” that Joe Farah will not be a wife beater and child molester? “I’m not saying he won’t. I’m just asking why.”………see what I did there?
This is how easy it is for a wingnut to get a sound bite.
Anyone can play this stupid game.

  7. No way out March 8th, 2015 at 9:38 am

I embrace the psychosis of the right. Just magical.

  8. Thomas Davidson March 8th, 2015 at 10:48 am

Why are these people, so stupid. Always creating some type of false narrative to justify their hate for President Obama. It says more about them, than the President.

  9. dave-dr-gonzo March 8th, 2015 at 11:04 am

And I’m just asking if a majority of thinking Americans, once exposed to the toxic rantings of Joseph “WingNutDullard” Farah ,would want to feed his severed limbs to a pack of starving, rabid wolverines.

    I mean, hey, I’m just asking…

    • John_St_John March 8th, 2015 at 1:52 pm

That constitutes cruel and unusual punishment towards the wolverines, rabid or not.

    • Jack E Raynbeau March 8th, 2015 at 10:36 pm

Having seen a wolverine in the wild 5 years ago. Nasty looking creature. I want nothing to do with a rabid wolverine.

  10. jybarz March 8th, 2015 at 11:10 am

Of course, President Obama will stay beyond 2017 to finish all his plans that the GOP rejected for no sane reason other than that he is black. Obama needs another term for free this time through his Executive Order power. And then after his 3rd term, he will pronounce himself King of the US Kingdom… that’s still within his new power that he will vest upon himself during his 3rd term. Long Live King Obama!

  11. Larry Schmitt March 8th, 2015 at 12:14 pm

This clown and people like him must think this is Zimbabwe, where Robert Mugabe can get elected as many times as he wants, even when he doesn’t get more votes than his opponents. And that really is an ugly mustache. Looks like a woolly bear caterpillar crawled onto his lip.

  12. William March 8th, 2015 at 12:57 pm

the word salad they spew is like talking to a two year old…..say what?

  13. labman57 March 8th, 2015 at 3:31 pm

Hey Joe, do you have to work at being such an asshole … or does it just come naturally?
    Just asking …

  14. Suzanne McFly March 8th, 2015 at 3:52 pm

When these types spew their idiotic views, we need to not give them a stage. As soon as that view is stated and then disproven, they lose any right to hold a microphone again.

  15. Jack E Raynbeau March 8th, 2015 at 10:38 pm

If we press Joe a bit further I bet we can get him to admit that he has seen the rail cars with shackles.

  16. majii March 8th, 2015 at 11:39 pm

I think that if President Obama could, he’d walk away from the WH in a heartbeat, and who c/would blame him? Who wouldn’t walk away if they had the chance and has had to put up with the obstruction, the disrespect, the seditious behavior, the increase in death threats against a sitting president, the constant lies, the conspiracy theories, and birtherism, along with all of the other mess? It just so happens that the president is the type of person who, like many of us, when he commits to something, he finishes the job.

  17. fahvel March 9th, 2015 at 5:11 am

where else does one find really stupid, mean minded, arrogant people like this fool? Scary!!

    • Warman1138 March 9th, 2015 at 7:05 am

In the desert near Death Valley there is a place filled with tales of ”mysterious rocks”. One of these rocks is known as ”stupid rock”. If you lean on it just right you can get it to tip up a little bit on one side. And that’s when something stupid, mean minded and arrogant slides out from underneath and starts making noise.

  18. Foundryman March 9th, 2015 at 12:02 pm

Personally, if the republicans succeed in stealing the election for their billionaire union busters, I would very much support Obama declaring it void and stay in office until a legitimate election can be held.
Why should we accept a tainted election? Any solid evidence of voter intimidation and suppression, big money lies and propaganda should be enough to void the results.
