CalebMooreBusted[su_r_sky_ad]If you’re a political junkie, you are no doubt familiar with Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, who first came to fame by placing a Ten Commandments monument on public property. Most true defenders of the Constitution rightfully objected to this egregious violation of the establishment clause.

The Doc objected in addition to the monument’s hideous and unoriginal aesthetic. The gray monstrosity looks like a piece of tacky Bible store bric-a-brac on steroids.

But I digress.

It seems his son Caleb has been arrested on drug charges. For a third time. One of our favorite blogs, Joe. My. God., has the shocking details:

Caleb Moore, the apparently still-partying son of Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, has been arrested yet again on drug possession charges.

According to court documents, officers responded to the 1200 block of Allen Street in Troy to a report of an attempted home break-in. They found five men, including Moore, outside near a pickup truck that smelled strongly of marijuana. After the men said there were no drugs in the vehicle, officers searched the truck and found a bag of marijuana in the glove compartment, along with Moore’s passport. Several Xanax pills also were found in the bag. Moore was arrested and taken to the city jail. He was released on bond totaling $8,500. His first court appearance is set for April 7 before Pike County District Judge William Hightower.

Several weeks ago I reported on Caleb Moore’s social media posts, prompting him to say this to “I’ve done nothing more than any other college kids. Because of who I am, it gets blown out of proportion. Since then I’ve got in a closer walk with the Lord. Whatever anyone says about me, it doesn’t bother me. The people who know me and know what’s true can really see what’s going on here and see through critics of my dad.”

This is Caleb Moore’s third arrest on drug charges. As I noted in my first post about him, tax records appear to indicate that in 2012 he worked part-time for the virulently anti-gay Foundation For Moral Law, which was founded by his father and is now headed by his mother, Kayla Moore.

One can only conclude that marijuana is moral! ‘Nuff said.

Were you born an idiot, or did you come to it by being in a tea party cabal?

      • disqus_lJapfzCIUh March 17th, 2015 at 1:41 am

What?? Can’t handle the truth so you helped banning this post…Liberal hacks are noted for their “fairness” in reporting the real truth…

        • William March 17th, 2015 at 1:48 am

Mike Huckabee suggested on that President Barack Obama had not taught his children that Beyonce’s music was not “wholesome” because the Obamas lived on the wrong side of the “cultural divide.”

So Bible thumping right wing hypocrites can trash the Presidents children for listening to *gasp*, Rap music, but liberals are evil if we think people who break the law (a lot), should be accountable?

          Hypocrite much?

Low reputation commenters are held for review by Disqus. I already approved your earlier, barely comprehensible post, so, no none of us are banning your gibberish. Though we are tempted to based on your baseless attack on Alan and your latest idiocy!

          • Suzanne McFly March 17th, 2015 at 7:58 am

Why would we want him and his comments deleted? He is exactly what we are not and we are very proud of it. Keep on posting dude, you are just providing more evidence for what we already know.

Conazis can’t handle the truth….thats why they have that crack team in Texas rewriting history as the gopee remembers it.

I like the fact that she makes people like “disqus_lJapfzCIUh” so bat-guano angry that they can’t resist having a keyboard Tourette’s outburst whenever her name pops up on a web page. In the immortal words of Atrios, “Ye shall know them by their derp.”

          • Hirightnow March 17th, 2015 at 11:33 am

Is this weefle changing his posts? because I don’t see any reference to Mrs. Clinton…

There is a special school for this type…gopee sponsored and provided with coloring books and crayons from the GWB memorial library

And a complimentary copy of “My Pet Goat” for home use!

    • Carla Akins March 17th, 2015 at 5:34 am

Nice way to own your comments dude. BTW, that’s me in the pic there and yes it’s my real name. I take responsibility and accountability for what I say and do, unlike Caleb here (who is an adult) and not just denied his culpability but blamed it on his father’s critics. He earned every bit of our scorn for his behavior. You have zero credibility – using the anonymous feature, not even setting up an actual disqus account.

    • fahvel March 17th, 2015 at 5:53 am

please, climb back under the rotting piece of wood from whence you came and enjoy the decay of body and mind.

    • dave-dr-gonzo March 17th, 2015 at 8:53 am

We’re not “trashing” the kid, we’re reporting the facts, Sparky.

If anything, we’re trashing his prejudiced, religiously insane dad, who likes to bully nonbelievers with his overzealous Rapture-cult “faith”.

And by the way, if you were paying attention, we have been reporting on a person you have been propagandized into hating, former Secretary of State Clinton.

Did you fail reading comprehension in middle school? Maybe you’re a victim of homeschooling. Whatever.

I believe in personal responsibility. Being arrested SEVEN times in FOUR years on drug charges, two DUI’s, Narcotics charges, and Domestic violence. Especially when you come from an affluent family and had every possible advantage in life. I have NO sympathy for this 24 year old man. Every time he gets behind the wheel driving drunk and high, he puts my children, who are also in Alabama in danger. If his Daddy hadn’t been getting him out of all of it, he would be forced to be taking personal responsibility. BUt he will get out of this again.Daddy has hired a high profile lawyer – the one that defended the Olympic bomber.

Bible loving and gay hating family. I hate to say this but I love Karma to happen to haters.

    • Pilotshark March 17th, 2015 at 2:45 pm

that hate Karma is some wicked bad stuff there!

but the ones who bring it, has to deal with it.

  5. William March 17th, 2015 at 2:06 am

Personally I think arrest and serious jail time for a bag of weed and Xanax pills is maybe a bit harsh, but hey, you know, states rights and all that. Far be it from me to tell the great state of Alabama how to police their citizens.

    • whatthe46 March 17th, 2015 at 4:00 am

i agree, however, you know why those laws are still on the books and not because of him. he wasn’t suppose to be affected by those laws others are. and now this is his third incident. the second involved dwi.

I’m sure the good judge will pray long and hard over his son…

  7. bpollen March 17th, 2015 at 5:06 am

Luckily he learned all about Christian values and respect for law at home…

  8. Suzanne McFly March 17th, 2015 at 7:53 am

Roy probably has said multiple times, “he may be a drug addict, but at least he’s not gay”.

  9. Dwendt44 March 17th, 2015 at 1:25 pm

Like father like son. His self important daddy is addicted to religion and junior is addicted to Xanax and weed. runs in the family. Wonder what mommy is hooked on?

  10. Sy Colepath March 17th, 2015 at 2:05 pm

I’d be huffing Toluene if the judge was my dad.

  11. Foundryman March 17th, 2015 at 2:16 pm

If this were anyone else’s son, judge Roy would want them to see prison for life after the third strike. My money is he will try to get him off again.
