High School Math Teacher Faces 22 Years In Prison For Sex With Four Students
[su_right_ad]Erica Mesa, 28, had sex with four Colonial Forge High School students, and could get 22 years.
An investigation revealed that one of the students was 16 years old when the relationship began in late 2013.
Investigators also found out that Mesa allegedly sent nude photos of herself using her cell phone.
Most of the trysts allegedly happened at Mesa’s home while her husband wasn’t around and one had happened in her SUV…
Mesa admitted to having sex with one teen while another was in her basement waiting his turn. She told authorities she had done it because it made her feel ‘attractive and wanted.’
The math teacher had worked at Colonial Forge High School since 2009. As well as losing her job, the teacher’s marriage had also disolved as a result of her actions.
Her husband of two years, Keith Mesa, works at Colonial Forge as a social studies teacher and head volleyball coach. Mesa had coached the volleyball team alongside her husband.

Ok, I know it’s wrong, and I know I’m a dinosaur. But… When I was 16 I’m pretty sure I spent an awful lot of time fantasizing about at least one hot young teacher. Catholic blue collar upbringing meant that sex at 16 was little more than a very remote fantasy.
If Ms. _____ the blonde buxom teacher and subject of my juvenile lust had taken me to her apartment and used me like a cheap third world socket wrench set, I would not have told a soul.

But looking back, I’m sure that at 16, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have kept my mouth shut. I probably would have bragged about it to some one.

Yes, I’m old too and attitudes were certainly different then but it doesn’t make it right. We had this discussion a few months back in a private local FB group I belong to – made up of mostly people well north of forty but we do have a few youngsters. One of the young men spoke up and told us he had “seduced” (his words) by a teacher when he was a sophomore in high school and it had briefly wrecked his life.
Teachers, specifically older women that hold a position of power over a teen during these formative years are almost always their “first”. Ryan told us that in hindsight it wasn’t a seduction as much as a manipulation, almost a coercion and one he didn’t feel could say no to. It was brief and no one ever learned of it but it warped his sense of an appropriate relationship. Later in college, he had seriously considering suicide (not due to this). His girlfriend at the time convinced him to get help, and he did.
He was stunned to discover how much this event had shaped his life, and skewed his perspective towards women, relationship and expectations. He’s married now with a couple of toddlers and by all accounts a fine young man. Reading his words that day was heart-wrenching, it left a mark on his soul and I don’t think that’s a small thing.

I couldn’t imagine a teenage boy having the ability to turn me on, but in all honesty, I can’t comprehend why a teacher would throw her life away for a tryst. I look at this in a “matter of fact” way, I know how much work it has taken me to become a substitute and now I am going for my masters to become a certified teacher. Unless this teen is a George Clooney look-a-like, I could not even consider him anything more then a youngster I am there to protect and teach. These women are abusing their power and they actually believe they will be able to create the greatest “man” by molding this child into who they desire.

I’d be surprised if she gets 22 years in prison. Usually, when it’s a female teacher, they are treated much differently than a male teacher who does the same crime. She might get 5 years or less and/or home arrest.
