[su_right_ad]You have to say outrageous things to get into the news cycle. Never mind that what you did as governor was more far-reaching than the law you’re now criticizing.

While speaking today with American Family Radio host Kevin McCullough, who falsely claimed that “Obamacare makes abortion taxpayer funded,” Huckabee baselessly charged that the mandate covers “abortifacients.”

Huckabee said that the mandate represents such a threat to freedom that it is similar to the actions of the British government that sparked the American Revolution: “When I go back to American history, that’s why the American revolution started. You had a government that became a tyranny and that government began to tell people what limitations of their belief could be.”

From what I can see so far, there is one GOP 2016 possible candidate who is not a hypocritical lying POS, and that would be Gov. Jeb Bush. Are there any others? I cannot seem to find any.

Four years later, the Arkansas law easily cleared that state’s Legislature, with help from Republican lawmakers, including two GOP cosponsors. Huckabee signed it in April 2005.

He defended the law in a statement. “Religious employers are not required to comply with this policy,” he said. “My position is, and always has been, that religious entities shouldn’t be forced to pay for contraception.”

But like the original federal regulation proposed by Obama, the Arkansas law did not exempt church-affiliated hospitals and universities. It exempts only “religious employers” that are nonprofit organizations whose primary mission is “the inculcation of religious values,” and primarily employ people who share the same religion, a standard few Catholic hospitals meet.

Jebbie is not exempt from that status at all.

Now that Ted Cruz is officially running, we get to watch all these numbskulls try to outdo themselves by making the days most ridiculous list.

he finally submitted his Hawaiian long form birth certificate?
      WTF took so long?
it’s gotta be a fake, he should be required to submit the real one.

I am totally against war, and against organized religions being tax exempt. I would like all of the tax money that I have involuntarily had to pay over the years to subsidize wars and fairy tales BACK. Just deposit it to my savings account.
    thank you,
    the new tax revolt.

does this man take pride in offering himself to the public as an idiot or is he just a plain old fashioned moron?

Nah, like the rest of them it’s probably all that fat campaign money, travel and being feted. Then they dumb down, give a speech, make an appearance, whatever it takes to keep the ball rolling and checks coming in.

    A hypocrite and a liar.

“You had a government that became a tyranny and that government began to tell people what limitations of their belief could be.”

A very stupid thing to say because it’s what he and his repuke party have been doing: anti-abortion laws, declaring USA is a Christian country, that there should be prayers in congress and schools, that climate change is not real, government shutdown, creationism, denying people healthcare by rejecting Obamacare in repuke states and tried to repeal it for more than 50 times in congress….

He still hasn’t caught up to cruz in nuttiness, he is pulling a close second though.

Pat Robertson still takes the cake.

  11. bpollen March 24th, 2015 at 10:22 pm

OK, Mike, since we fought the British over contraception, abortion, and healthcare, it would seem that every single American History book ever published is wrong. Why, Mikey, would YOU be the only person to discover this? And where can *I* find this great truth? Is it written in that book you praise and ignore simultaneously? Because telling falsehoods is contraindicated in the Bubble… Bibble.. Koran.
