Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-Wash.) slammed the Affordable Care Act on Facebook on the fifth anniversary of President Obama signing it into law. She asked constituents to share their Obamacare horror stories but the response was not what she expected. Rodgers wrote, “This week marks the 5th anniversary of #Obamacare being signed into law. Whether it’s…

I sent her a reply- she won’t be using it. God these people; her website inviting comments just assumes there are all these horror stories and invites oppressed folks to share them. Maybe about how grandma got carried off in the night by the death panel?

I sent her a reply on her website also. She won’t be using that one either.
I just can not comprehend any logic or intelligence for these people to be running with this idea. Do you think they have any clue how many Republicans need and use the ACA? They might not get the votes they want in 2016.

It’s mindboggling the way the Repukes carry on. They know they’re bullsh!ting and bloody lying. People are not stupid and they know what really is going on, except their stupid, low information supporters.

    • viva_democracy March 27th, 2015 at 2:18 pm

They’re low information supporters partly because they hate Obama so much. Remember, Obamacare was framed from a Republican idea. And if Bush II had adopted it while he was in office, all of the people who complain about it now would’ve been shouting it’s praises from the mountaintops. This is purely about the fact that they HATE Obama.

Repubs still can’t find anyone injured by the $1.5 T+ Federal Deficit reducing ACA! NY HC premiums dropped from 2013’s $1000 per month+ to $308/mo before any subsidies in 2014 & 2015 under ObamaCare’s.

Rubio and Cruz hate the ACA so much they covered their entire families under ObamaCare. 32 M ACA HC buyers in 2015 = 10% of USA buying ObamaCare!

  9. Dwendt44 March 27th, 2015 at 4:37 pm

This isn’t the first time this happened. Others tried to accumulate horror stories before and got the same results.

“Obamacare is a complete disaster that must be killed” is another Republican baseless conclusion desperately in search of a rationalization.

Laura Walker, above, nailed it: “You have to be the most cynical, or most insulated official to keep beating the dead horse about ACA being such a travesty.” That sums it up perfectly. Cynical and insulated.

    • Jake March 28th, 2015 at 5:54 am

Agreed – just how out of touch with ordinary Americans are these Congressional Republican elitists?

I thought their little game of trying to find “Obama care horror stories” ended after the first year, when the only ones they found turned out to be fictional, and they kept finding nothing but success stories. It’s ridiculous that they’re still at it. The more time they spend on crap like this means there’s less actual productive work they’re doing. And Crazy Ted Cruz is basing his whole campaign on repealing it. I hope he gets what he deserves.
