Republican Arizona Senator Sylvia Allen wants a ‘moral rebirth of this country’ and suggested lawmakers should debate forcing people to attend church services once a week. That’s worked out so well for pedo-priests “How we get to back to a moral rebirth of this country, I don’t know, since we are slowly eroding religion at every…

“Attend the church of your choice* …”
    * so long as it’s based on Judeo-Christian beliefs.

Another day, another Republican theocrat crawls out from under a rock in search of the media spotlight.

Is she actually an American? How dare she even suggest this?

Great, another “religious freedom” law. What’s next, automatic tithing?

If we want a moral rebirth in this country, we should marginalize ALL religions and bar children from being exposed to them until they’re old enough to vote. Religions are the most dangerous force in our society. People who believe in the supernatural are not well.
Not to mention that pushing their delusions on the rest of us is UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

It’s only unconstitutional if you don’t believe that the bible is the “real” constitution as the rabid christianists do.

      • bluejayray March 29th, 2015 at 1:59 pm

It scares me that people can get old enough to vote without knowing that this is NOT a christian nation, never was, never will be.

    Holy Cow!
    Holier than thou?
    Moral decay?
    More likely within the GOP.
    Too religious.
    Overly pious.
Why not try be a real Christian for once.
Go help the needy not just the wealthy, perchance!

      She should try this

This is unbelievable. No one should be forced to attend religious services any more than one should be forced to vote. We are forced to participate in too many things already and we don’t need any more requirements.

I’d like to see a Church of the non believer. Supported by tax dollars. Pool tables, bags of chips as holy sacraments, heaping bowls of spaghetti (vegan fare too). Every Sunday a speaker could broadcast thru the big screen. I think I’d like Neil deGrasse Tyson to be the first speaker, possibly first Pope. As long as people claim that Atheism is a religion, I think it should have the same rights.

These types claim to love the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, maybe they should try reading them first.

Oh boy! This law will go over real big with the politicians suffering hangovers caused by a Saturday night of partying. They’ll be forced to get up and attend 9:00 am services.
