Scott Walker embarrassed himself when he compared Wisconsin protesters to ISIS. He backed off of that comparison (a little) but then embarrassed himself all over again when he compared ISIS to a computer virus. Walker has outdone himself again by stating that his being an Eagle Scout has prepared him to be Commander in Chief of…

So was he really in Troop 666 or is that a joke? A lot of religious freaks are going to go nuts if it’s for real.

I’m sure it’s a fake troop. As the Boy Scouts has become a religious organization, It’s careful of such symbolism.
I stopped supporting the scouts once they turned overly religious years ago; or should I say once I realize that.
As it was then and often is now, scouts are linked to churches or church groups, so the influence is strong. They care not that the founder of the whole idea was a homosexual and that the scouts was supposed to be an alternative to religious youth groups.

as an ex-eagle scout i have to concur with you.

I’m an Eagle also, however things were different in 1957

That’s one reason I never donate to them. I donate to the Girl Scouts and a couple of other youth groups in town. We have a Lego invention club which I think is pretty cool

The Girl Scouts don’t hide behind religion, do good work, and help a lot of girls. Not that crazy about the cookie sales, but they are in the United Way if that is acceptable to you.

I generally catch them when they are selling cookies at local stores. I don’t buy the cookies–I just give them enough for about 4 boxes as a cash donation. They’re never quite sure how to take that.

Narcissism, combined with willful ignorance, is a dangerous thing…and is a prerequisite for Goper stardom.

Least stupid thing I have heard him say. Achieving Eagle Scout is an impressive accomplishment that indicates leadership qualities I would like to see in a prez. Obviously every other quality he posseses are negative indicators.

    • Dwendt44 March 30th, 2015 at 7:50 pm

I missed Eagle Scout by two or three merit badges. I don’t recall any ‘leadership’ training involved. But then it’s been over 50 years ago.

So, being a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, having a degree in constitutional law and being a civil rights attorney doesn’t qualify anybody to be commander-in chief, but being an Eagle Scout does?
    .
I’m not surprised. We had a commander-in-chief who’s only qualification was starring in b-movies – and we all saw how THAT worked out.

I don’t know about the scouts but look at the kind of creep Walker turned into. Too bad he didn’t take some of the lessons to heart.

    Figures.

      Still laughing over this one!

Family must be flush with cash. The merit badges aren’t that cheap. The book and what ever equipment or tools needed add to the cost. Poor scouts are at a distinct disadvantage.

So Derpy didn’t manage to get the Von Clausewitz merit badge?

    I’m a Boy Scout drop-out.

Does that make me like Sarah Palin?

    • fahvel March 31st, 2015 at 4:01 am

exacte!!!! she is a boy scout drop out too.

    • Bunya March 31st, 2015 at 2:36 pm

Hey! You can run as Walker’s VP!

  11. fahvel March 31st, 2015 at 4:01 am

yeah, but at an international nuclear conference he’ll tie them in so many fancy knots that his exceptionalism with shine a brightly as the muffins he makes on a camp fire lit up by rubbing 2 sticks together while tormenting a tenderfoot.
