What they do is turn the argument around on its head, making it seem as though they are looking at the world through a funhouse mirror. Which Louisiana Bobby Jindal is.

…Jindal, who has tried to build his expected presidential campaignaround the supposed persecution of conservative Christians in America, told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins yesterday that the “real victims of discrimination” are business owners who seek to deny service to gay people, not the gay people who were refused public services.

After falsely claiming that Indiana’s new “religious freedom” law is no different than the federal version of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Jindal alleged that Democrats no longer support religious freedom protections because they may be used to benefit Christians.

“Now that evangelical Christians are the ones that are being discriminated against, the left does not want to accommodate them in the same way,” Jindal said. “What’s really underneath all of this is the left preaches tolerance and diversity and openness, and that’s true, unless you disagree with them. They don’t want to discriminate anybody unless you happen to be a conservative, or in this case, an evangelical Christian, and that’s the hypocrisy in this.”

I wish this a**hole would pay more attention to running my state than chasing his presidential aspirations while running my state deeper into the ground.

Deep down, I think he knows he has a slim to none chance, he’s doing this hoping for a cabinet position should (God help us) a Republican get in the White House.

ps…there’s growing heat about his travel expenses in his quest to be a player on the national stage…I hope it gets super HOT.

Of course they are, because tolerance means being tolerant of intolerance. One of the guaranteed rights in the Constitution is the right to discriminate.

“What they do is turn the argument around on its head”
Pure Rovian strategy. Turn their “strengths” against them through lies and obfuscation.

Pandering to evangelicals won’t net your party very many votes, Bobby, and it will net you absolutely none.

This argument will not get any traction, too many of us on the left are Christians and know all this Jindal and crew are doing is pandering to the weakest members of party.

      yeah … the entire population…

But aren’t business owners the REAL victims here? After all, they don’t personally hate gay people, they merely disapprove of their “lifestyle choice”, as instructed in the bible. So don’t blame the bigoted business owners. Blame Jesus.

I think we are witnessing the origilns of a new literal form – the Jindal – when someone turns reality on its head – eg
“Christ would be a conservative” is a Jindalism – “Obamacare is bad for the country” is a Jindalism. Others usages could be – “don’t Jindal the facts ma’am”, “Geroge Bush Jindalled us into a war for no reason”, “Fox News are well-known Jindallers of the truth”, “I cannot tell a Jindal”.

No matter how much stupid you direct towards you base, Piyush, you have absolutely NO chance to be president. They apparently they have a soft spot inept clowns and public bigots in Louisiana, but there’s a whole lot of not-Louisiana that he would have to win over. Then you figger that most of the Republican base has a problem with brown presidents…

  12. Jeb == Mexican Impregnator April 3rd, 2015 at 8:53 pm

It must incredibility horrible to accept money from a stranger for a service that you have no idea what the personal details of any person is…. I didn’t know LGTB had to present ids of their sexual orientation to order pizza ….

Someone better put a mirror in Boobi’s No-go-Zone life …. he is under some silly impression HE is like all the other people in the victimized white privileged Christian underclass he tries to be like. Kind of like a dog raised by sheep.

It wasn’t the lunch counter sit in’s that changed
Woolworths mind to serve blacks. It was capitalism.

I sometime think the gubmint should get out of the way of these bigots.

Let them freely display their prejudices and hate.

Let them turn down all the gay, black, Mexican, Muslim, and whoever else they hate.

It is self destructive and it means less money in the collection plate on Sunday. And I am all for that!

Unlike the “lunch counter” days, when blacks had nowhere else to go to get a cup of coffee (and truly being punished for their skin color),…today the minorities that the religious zealots hate will get service.

These “religious freedom” laws do not discriminate — they simply allow businesses to selectively alienate specific demographic sectors of society that they deem to be abominations from hell.
Whoa … I’m feeling a tad dizzy from all of the spin that I just spewed.
