Revenge Porn Website Owner Gets 18 Years

He was charging those posted in nude pictures on his site to have the photos removed.
Kevin Bollaert, 28, allowed more than 10,000 sexually explicit photos to be posted on his so-called “revenge porn” website, reports The Daily Mail. The majority were of women.
The website was called ugotposted.com and allowed users to anonymously post nude photos of people without their consent, along with personal information about them and a link to their social media profiles.
The primary motive behind the site was to publicly shame an individual someone had previously been in a relationship with for whatever malicious reason.
To have a photo removed, Bollaert would demand between $250 and $350 from the individual through another website he owned, changemyreputation.com.

The amount of time seems a little excessive, but he definitely deserves to spend some time in prison for his crimes.

I agree it’s excessive, but think of the lives he’s ruined and the mental anguish of the individuals who had their lives posted online in such a malicious way. It’s cyber bullying of the highest order. And his punishment serves as a warning to others that might think of doing the same thing. I think he’ll be out in 4-5 years on good behavior.

I think 4-5 years is sensible and he should be labeled a sexual predator as well.
