    Fortunately for him he’s not seriously hurt.
    Unfortunately for everyone there are thousands, if not millions, of his kind are around who very likely will kill or injure people around them due to their stupidity, carelessness and irresponsibility.
    I think he should be charged, so other gun-nuts take notice the serious repercussions of their stupidity, carelessness and irresponsibility.

    There is an incomparable scene in one of Babel’s stories about the Jewish mob in Odessa in the early 1900’s. A cantor in a synagogue, without interrupting his chanting, takes a gun from under his tallis and starts firing at a rat. He’s immediately scolded for poor manners.
