The former vice president just can’t stop his verbal assaults or, in this case written ones.

Cheney’s “Exceptional: Why the World Needs a Powerful America” will be published on Sept. 1 by Threshold Editions, the publisher announced Tuesday. The book, co-authored by Cheney’s daughter Liz Cheney, contends that Obama has abandoned a decades-long tradition of American global leadership. In a statement issued by Threshold, a conservative imprint of Simon & Schuster, the former vice president said Obama had “significantly diminished” U.S. power at a time of a “rapidly growing” terrorist threat.

33 responses to Cheney To Attack Obama In New Book

Ah yes, Mr. “I had other priorities in the ’60s than military service” Cheney, who never met a war he didn’t want us involved in. Received FIVE deferments during Vietnam.

He and his daughter…always willing to fight to the last drop of other people’s blood.

  2. Roctuna April 7th, 2015 at 1:37 pm

More like he’s abandoned America’s decades-long (at least 12 by my count) tradition of imperialistic warmongering.

  3. OldLefty April 7th, 2015 at 1:45 pm

    What else is new?

Especially from the guy who has been wrong about everything since the 60’s, and hasn’t changed his dog and pony show since then.

    Anybody remember;

The Committee on the Present Danger ( Team B) is a hawkish “advocacy organization” first founded in 1950 and re-formed in 1976 to push for larger defense budgets and arms buildups, to counter the Soviet Union.

Team B claimed that the Soviets were working on an anti-acoustic (invisible)
submarine, though they failed to find any evidence of one. The hawks explained
away this lack of evidence by stating that “the submarine may have already
been deployed because it was invisible and evaded detection.”

    Same old “wmd”.

    Right down to the SAME players;

In the 1975, Richard Perle (remember him?) leaked classified information Bob Novak (remember him?) of Rowland Evans and Novak to leak classified information in the 1970’s – and is now a member of the board of Hollinger International Inc., which owns the Chicago Sun-Times, the home newspaper of Novak’s syndicated column.

Dana Milbank reported in the Washington Post that Richard Perle was the chief
suspect in another Novak-assisted leak of classified information in December
1975: “Novak, with his late partner Rowland Evans, got the classified leak that
President Ford and Secretary of State H.Kissinger were ready to make concessions to the Soviet Union to save
    SALTII.

Rumsfeld, intervened to block Kissinger.” Perle at the time was “an influential
    aide to Sen. Scoop Jackson.

The submarine story reminds me of the old joke “Saw submarine–sank same”. Hard to prove. I really can’t stand these scare mongers. It’s all about the money to them–oh, and of course the power. I’ll bet we’re still paying for Star Wars.

    War criminal.

  5. tracey marie April 7th, 2015 at 2:29 pm

What a thouroughly disagreeable and rancid person. All he understands is war and death, anything else is weakness. Intelligence, forethought, critical thinking skills, those are not part of cheny and his spawn

    • alpacadaddy April 8th, 2015 at 12:39 am

Yes, and amazingly enough, Darth Cheney managed to secure his millions in spite of his 5 deferments… he really DID have ‘other priorities’!

  6. rocker April 7th, 2015 at 3:09 pm

  7. Anomaly 100 April 7th, 2015 at 3:20 pm

    Says a war profiteer….

    • bluejayray April 7th, 2015 at 8:30 pm

True that. Seems to me that war profiteering was treasonous back in the day. Now it’s considered a career path.

There would be a certain poetic justice, but you just KNOW it will give you a paper cut…

        • StoneyCurtisll April 8th, 2015 at 4:19 pm

You have to roll the pages between your palms to soften it up first~!

I bow to your expertise! In my house, the wife would sell everything I own to prevent needing to resort to Cheney…

  13. Obewon April 7th, 2015 at 8:19 pm

Did Halliburton Cheney thank POTUS Obama for his first heart in the new comic book?

  14. StoneyCurtisll April 7th, 2015 at 8:29 pm

Dick Cheney is one of the most hated men in America…
You can bet only the most ardent haters of Obama are going to buy it.

  15. StoneyCurtisll April 7th, 2015 at 8:50 pm

Of all the horrible attacks that Cheney has made on Obama..
I have never heard President Obama respond in kind..

It just shows what a adult tempered and gracious President we currently have.

  16. jasperjava April 7th, 2015 at 9:29 pm

If anybody has “significantly diminished” America’s power in the world, it was the warmongering torture regime of Dumb and Dubya. They alienated our allies, emboldened our enemies, and created instability everywhere they went.

  17. fancypants April 8th, 2015 at 12:28 am

we all know what cheney thinks of this country

    • rg9rts April 8th, 2015 at 5:30 am

I’ll bet they use the same paper in the SCOTUS mens room too

  18. fahvel April 8th, 2015 at 4:02 am

I saw an interview of the Nazi hunting couple who were ultimately responsible for the capture of Barbie and numerous others – why aren’t the war mongers and cheney – on top of the list – being arrested and tried for their crimes against humanity and the grand destabilization of the globe??

    • rg9rts April 8th, 2015 at 5:29 am

He did run back from Canada when he heard that The Hague had a warrant out for his arrest

  19. fahvel April 8th, 2015 at 4:03 am

I would prefer a short circuit behind his bad tie.

  20. rg9rts April 8th, 2015 at 5:28 am

Unfortunately for dickie bird… his definition of global leadership is invading nations and spilling american blood while taking care of his buddies at Haliburton

  21. Jimmy Cahill April 8th, 2015 at 9:48 am

If Cheney paid attention he would see that the landslide of public perception of the US throughout the world started in 2004 when he was in power:
