A copy of the dash cam footage from North Charleston police officer Michael Slager’s patrol car in the moments before he shot Walter Scott, 50, was released by the State Law Enforcement Division. In the video, Slager pulls over Scott, and a foot chase later ensues. The video only shows the moments before Scott was shot…

And what do we see in the video but a civil interaction between the cop and Mr. Scott at the beginning of the stop. And then what happens? Mr. Scott makes a bad decision and attempts to flee and the cop then makes another bad decision and shoots Mr. Scott in the back with no justification. Two boneheaded moves in a matter of minutes.

The cop had Scotts license, he had Scotts car and he had Scotts passenger, why did he chase after him at all? He never had to leave his car. Don’t they issue APB’s for arrest anymore?
