The fear mongering gun advocate says Hillary Clinton “will bring a permanent darkness of deceit and despair.”

At the NRA’s annual convention today, Wayne LaPierre spent quite a lot of time in his speech talking about Hillary Clinton and how much they cannot let her become the next president. He joked about her history with various scandals, called her secretive, and asked if anyone really thinks she deserves to be the first female president…

And then, he offered this over-the-top dire warning:

“She will not bring a dawn of new promise and opportunity. Hillary Rodham Clinton will bring a permanent darkness of deceit and despair forced upon the American people to endure.”

Poor old LaPierre is losing it. He was talking about Hillary but in actuality he was describing the whole NRA!

    • Larry Schmitt April 10th, 2015 at 6:45 pm

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. So when do they accuse her of wanting to take away the sacred firearms?

    • Dwendt44 April 11th, 2015 at 2:01 am

Wayne is a draft dodger. Due to mental health issues, he was excused from military service. Things haven’t improves any since.

  2. causeican April 10th, 2015 at 6:52 pm

I thought bringing on “a permanent darkness of deceit and despair forced upon the American people to endure” was the responsibility of Comrade Obama. Did everyone not get the memos?

    • Larry Schmitt April 10th, 2015 at 6:55 pm

      That sounds like Cheney’s tenure.

  3. Suzanne McFly April 10th, 2015 at 8:06 pm

Kind of like when President Obama started his first term (and the second as well) when many claimed he would becoming for your guns.

    • allison1050 April 11th, 2015 at 7:42 am

Oh Suzanne! You and those pesky details! 😉

      • Suzanne McFly April 11th, 2015 at 9:49 am

Details can get so messy sometimes, at least when a claim is made and doesn’t come to fruition so another claim is made….and so on….and so on.

        • rg9rts April 11th, 2015 at 4:40 pm

Thats why Cruz calls fact checking yellow journalism

  4. Obewon April 10th, 2015 at 10:02 pm

If guns are so great! Why is the NRA convention a gun free zone? D’oh!

Hillary Clinton beats any GOP in every poll, sans FNC. Boo! Run for yer lives ahhh….

    • burqa April 10th, 2015 at 10:23 pm

      Yep yep yepyepyep.
A couple months ago they had a big gun “show” here and the radio airwaves locally were flooded with ads that informed everyone they would not be allowed to have loaded weapons inside.
Of course there’s always one dumbass who doesn’t get the message and one of those attending had an, – ahem – accidental discharge.
      Fortunately, no one was hurt.

      • Dwendt44 April 11th, 2015 at 12:44 pm

If anything, President Obama INCREASED gun rights. You can now have them in national parks.

  5. Chris April 10th, 2015 at 11:22 pm

LaPierre (doncha just love his name?) is cranking up the hate assault against the presumptive candidate quite early because his audience needs redirection after eight years of disrespecting Obama.

She’ll have him for breakfast. As in “fava beans and a nice Chianti.”

    • Dwendt44 April 11th, 2015 at 1:59 am

Good old Wayne La Pew still claims that Obama is coming for your guns. Never mind that the Prez hasn’t lifted a finger in that direction.

    • fahvel April 11th, 2015 at 4:15 am

      it means The Rock.

      • Chris April 11th, 2015 at 7:45 am

“And on LaPierre I will build my eglise.”

        Nah. Just doesn’t sound right.

Chuck Norris predicted a thousand days of darkness if President Obama got re-elected
they seem to be running out of original material.

Hillary is a murdering treasonous liar !! Anyone whom supports her is more ignorant than she is as Obama has shown everyone what happens when you pick a president for the wrong reasons, in his case, being a black Muslim terrorist !! It’s the ignorant sheep that makes it harder for real American patriots to protect our country from scum like Washington has in it today !! Hillary will finish destroying any part of this country his Assholyness has missed or didn’t get to, that’s a fact !! Here’s an eye opener for all you sheep…. Obama’s finial attack in America WILL affect you as well and you’ll be kicking yourselves saying why didn’t we listen when your sitting in one of his FEMA camps and there’s no Americans coming to set you free as YOU VOTED to ban all firearms !! It will be the same thing if Hillary makes it to The oval office. Wake up people !!!

    • allison1050 April 11th, 2015 at 7:33 am

Umm, how many Americans died in Iraq dh?

lol! isn’t that always the case? 😉

    • Thomas Davidson April 11th, 2015 at 8:18 am

Just delusional hateful republican talking points. I suppose you would like to go back to those wonderful economic days of President Bush. I’ll give President Bush this, he has not joined the crazy train, he understands what it means to respect that office. God forbid if there is ever a republican president, I hope that person is treated better than you all have treated President Obama , you certainly are not a real American Patriot.

    • Foundryman April 11th, 2015 at 10:41 am

Oh for pete’s sake, who let this genius out?

      • allison1050 April 11th, 2015 at 10:42 am

        He’s banned~ ;o)

        • Foundryman April 11th, 2015 at 10:47 am

Actually, I wish they wouldn’t ban them so soon. He represents how most of the right wing actually view things. This is an example of mainstream republican thought. A product of Cruz, Bachmann, Palin and who they want to support them. It should be shown how dangerous and insane they are.

          • allison1050 April 11th, 2015 at 10:50 am

I can agree with that actually. There’s nothing like being confronted with the wing nuts. On occasion I’ve gone visiting on some of their sites but that gets boring after 10 minutes or so.

          • mea_mark April 11th, 2015 at 1:57 pm

Sorry, but I ban them when I catch them. If I don’t and I go away for an hour or two, who knows what kinda mess they might make while I’m gone.

      • rg9rts April 11th, 2015 at 4:34 pm

OMG what a loon…see how frightened they are of her?? LOL

    • rg9rts April 11th, 2015 at 4:34 pm

Calm down and take your meds…it will all be better in the morning….

    • burqa April 12th, 2015 at 1:13 am

      ^ Get this guy!

  9. Thomas Davidson April 11th, 2015 at 8:12 am

Man, they aren’t wasting anytime, she will whip anybody they put up. Funny how they can call her any name under the sun, as if these republicans are pure. All of them are nuts and don’t need to be anywhere near the Oval Office. All we will have is war and many more gun deaths and them taking care of those that are already well off. Don’t be fooled, Democrats must overwhelm the polls in 2016 and she will win in a landslide. They can talk all the hate and trash they want, it’ll be just that, talk!

They really make it easy to vote dem in ’16

The nra has soiled its reputation by attacking fellow Americans with their partisan ideology.

  15. burqa April 12th, 2015 at 1:16 am

Reince Priebus oughta sue LaPierre for plagiarism, after what I read in the paper this morning…

  16. CityZen April 12th, 2015 at 5:35 am

More vocal diarrhea from his assholiness, Whine La Derriere.

  17. crc3 April 12th, 2015 at 10:03 am

LaPierre has it backwards because it is him that has caused so much pain and agony with his love of guns. In my opinion he is mentally ill and needs to be put away forever. If he threatened suicide then give him a gun and tell him to go for it….

  18. illinoisboy1977 April 12th, 2015 at 11:20 am

People on the left AND right use vitriol and hyperbole, to attack their political opposites. I don’t see the big deal, here.

    • StoneyCurtisll April 12th, 2015 at 1:23 pm

If you dont see the ‘big deal” you must be blind.

      • illinoisboy1977 April 13th, 2015 at 11:02 am

No, I just don’t see the point in getting worked up over ineffectual, overblown, hyperbolic statements. His words are only going to resonate with people who have already decided they don’t like her. So, he’s not doing any damage and he’s not raising any kind of meaningful movement against her. Hence, it’s no big deal.

        • StoneyCurtisll April 13th, 2015 at 12:01 pm

          I see your point..
And I do agree that he is just preaching to the his herd.

  19. alpacadaddy April 12th, 2015 at 12:28 pm

The mere fact that this bellicose proponent of armed violence has ANY voice in shaping American policy beyond his own vote illustrates perfectly why ‘big money’ should have no place in politics. His vile spew could just as easily come from Darth Cheney!

  20. granpa.usthai April 12th, 2015 at 1:54 pm

so who gives a chit what this HATER of American grandmothers thinks? He’s made his fortune suckling off the idiots who depend on him for their 2’nd Amendment RESTRICTIONS.
