Cliven Bundy Throws Standoff Party

The Nevada rancher is throwing a party to commemorate the first anniversary of his standoff with the feds.
Bundy himself said, “We want to make a statement that we’re still here, ranching on Nevada land. The federal government hasn’t made any kind of moves.”
The standoff, of course, got heated when armed militiamen came to defend Bundy, and the Bureau of Land Management backed off. And only a month later, he declined to sue them.
Now, of course, you may remember Bundy for his rather, um, interesting comments about “the Negro,” which weren’t really helped by his subsequent attempts to explain it away.

Did he ever pay the money he owed the Federal Government and/or is still grazing his cattle for free on Federal land? Haven’t heard a peep about how things were finally resolved.

So pointing out one person’s criminal act justifies another person’s criminal act? If that’s was how it worked, no one would ever be charged with anything. “You can’t charge me, he did it too.” And I don’t believe Sharpton has any cattle.

This is a Fox/Koch generated meme. Truth: Al Sharpton is on the Board of Directors for a non-profit organization named National Action Network that owes these taxes. Mr. Sharpton did not incur them nor does he personally owe them. The organization has been paying this bill down with funds received from friendly financial donors.
