Playing to the religious right, Jeb Bush is defending his actions in the Terri Schiavo case.

Bush told Jim Daly, the president of Focus and host of its daily radio program, that he was proud of his role in approving a number of anti-choice policies, including targeted regulation of abortion providers (TRAP) laws designed to shut down family planning clinics and state funding for crisis pregnancy centers, which are notorious for peddling misinformation to women in hopes of dissuading them from seeking abortions.

“We’re the only state, I believe, to have funded with state monies crisis pregnancy centers to provide counselors so that these not-for-profits that in many cases aren’t as well funded as many others could act on their mission, which to provide broader support, but the actual counseling was done, paid for by the state,” he said. “It was a godsend for these crisis pregnancy centers and a lot of babies’ lives were saved.”

“Terri Schiavo is another example of this,” he said, referring to his efforts to interveneto stop the removal of a feeding tube of a Florida women who had been in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years, over the objections of the woman’s husband.

“Terri Schiavo is another example of this” Bush family low IQ. Ignorant that Terri’s brain had liquefied 10 years before JeB / Cheney heard her name.

And that’s the unfortunate truth of pretending that someone is “alive” when indeed they are not! I took care of too many that should never have made it out of ER and up to Med Surg…they were already dead.

The bush rats should never be allowed in office again.

So begins Jeb’s never ending kowtowing to different RW factions. He will likely be very brown in the face by end of his challenging campaign to be head Jester of the TPGOP.

And Jeb and his rightie pals decry guvmint overreach…
As Governor, he abused his powers, and with more power, he would completely disregard laws, regulations, and proper execution of his position. He’s a conniving liar, and a danger to any citizens under his reign.
The Schiavo case was horrible, he had even instructed the State Police to take charge of Terry, undermining all aspects of law, courts, etc.
